Take a look at the process of attaching soles to the bottom of a boot
I’m curious how much this exact boot would cost today as a Rainer with #4 toe???
Great idea!!!
Which method do you use for the Front Range? Nail bottom, hand welt, or McKay stitch?
I've seen these i n person and they are phenomenal
Is this boot a lace to toe or plain toe?
Hi from Italy, this boot is 6" ? thanks
Very cool
Tired of OTR shoes. So, can’t w8 to order my first pair of Nick’s next month; the Delta Arch MTO 🙌🏽
Bad music, thumbs down.
I’m gonna get these in 10 in Teton tan smooth bottom with the green canvas. Can you get these with honey vibram lug sole
Hey man i drive by your shop everyday to get to my work nice seeing spokane businesses getting pnline to show their craftmen ship
I like frankie
I think a podiatrist would not recommend these boots. You won’t work the muscles in your feet and they will get weak and reliant on the boot
Is the Ground Pounder similar to the old Nick’s Alaska Tundra 64T? I used to have a pair when I worked in fire. Nick’s doesn’t have that boot anymore.
I recently tried a pair of high arched boots. Absolutely murdered my feet. Was in them for 5 minutes. Felt a pop in my right arch and still have pain a day later.
Sounds like you need to visit your Chiropractor. Lots of joints in the feet (and ankles) possibly need an adjustment.
@@kylegilmore3810 why do i have an inkling most people consider you a poorly educated asshole? When genetics dictates you have weird feet you got weird feet. Exercise can and does help, but it still won't ever make your feet completely normal.
Thanks Frank! I just received my MTO Ryker AT boots about 2 weeks ago now. I went with an 8" build, same green canvas, chocolate roughout bottom, smooth upper, a pull loop, soft toe, and the honey vibram sole. My goal with these is to be a universal work/chore boot, along with hiking and hunting. I probably have about 50 hours into them so far, and the break-in has been a piece of cake. The build quality is perfect, they look fantastic, and you're right, the canvas seems very supportive and sturdy. It will be interesting to see how this thing patinas.
Like Frank’s humor!
That arch support literally makes my foot hurt just looking at it. Yikes.
Is the liner not recommended for the thicker work leather?
Hello
yep that high arch feels great. What really hurts with these boots are the price! You must be high!
Im not sure why i dont own a pair of these but they are surely on my list
What is the differerence between a Type 2 Highlander and a Ground Pounder optioned with 1977 Last / #4 Toe and Vibram 100 Sole and Heel? I just bought such an animal...
What did you use to replenish the heel stack and midsole?
I'll be in Spokane end of month. You'll know me I'll be the guy minus the head...
I really like how the red tone of the marine cordovan shows. It’s very subtle. I wouldn’t have thought of combining it with the mocha leather. What a cool outcome!
One thing that has me ordering any pairs of boot is the uneven stitching. As a silversmith, making everything look even and straight is a must but every bootmaker in the USA cant stich a straight or contoured line for shit aside from Koreans. Good grief, your asking $500+for a pair of boots with uneven stitching. Shame.
日本から買いましたよ!
These are amazing as a goth it’s great to see I high quality shop do something like this because most gothic boots are terrible quality.
Great looking boot Frank! God Bless
High arch boots are so very comfortable for exactly the reason he states. One thing to note however is that the high arch does change your entire walking posture. I feel it most in my lower back. It takes a bit to get used to and I recommend that you wear the boots only for an hour or two for the first few days. Then go to three to four hours for a few days and so on. It allows your body to adjust. They should have a physical therapist explaining your body posture on one of these videos.
How much of a concern is it that the stitching on the sole is worn through? Does that need a resole soon because of that?
No a resole isn't necessary--the stitching will wear through, but it it McKay stitched on the inside, as well as glued and screwed. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to our store at 509-309-2903
I'm sold
I just recently heard about youn's. I start a new job in a bit and my corks are a no go, but a steel toe I need. Your phone # is long distance for me (PA), do you have e-mail?
Franks is a us company so you should be able to call them from inside the us without issues. Unless you have a phone plan from 1999 still no one charges extra for long distance phone calls.

do you have e-mail? I live in PA & have questions and a rotary dial landline .
Yes, for general questions, contact us at: info@franksboots.com, to change an order contact orders@franksboots.com
whats the price tag though?
The commander model starts at $575, the belt/buckle, added wings and embroidered bat were all customizations that were add ons. For more info, please feel free to reach out to one of our sales associates at 509-309-2903
Just went in a got the ground pounder with green canvas upper mocha lowers cant wait to get them thanks Frank and crew.
Nice!! That is seriously Frank's favorite boot! His son has one too :)
There’s no way in hell those boots could be possibly comfortable. Our feet are flat, and they were designed that way to keep us balanced. These boots absolutely defy the principle of balance and healthy podiatry. They look like high heels (Heyyyyyyyyyy-SNAP)
Are those hand welted and then stitchdown?
Yep!
I gotta, gotta, gots...ta have these!!! Wow. Then a pair of tan rough-out w/honey vibram to rotate with the green ones. I gots to have 'em.
♥💚
Would love to see a video on the ground pounder. Basically none on RUclips except this short video by Frank. Just sent in my fit sheet today. Smooth chocolate upper and lowers and a natural stain looks killer. I think you posted some on your Facebook page Feb. 5th of 2023 that are almost exactly what I’m going for. Love the passion and that’s why I’m going to support you guys!
This is hilarious, like rugged mountain man boot maker goes for the urban smooth grooves.
I’m so close to order a pair
Thank you! If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us via Instagram Direct or Facebook Messenger
I've got 2 pair of Frank's with this feature and I LOVE it! 😍
Haha! Awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool!
thanks so much!
Sweet!
Are these 6 or 8 inch?
The one's in the video are 6", but you can certainly do it in a 8, 10 or 12"
I like the design of that a lot, minus the red. I'm heading to the website now
Brown Domaine boots please
