The more u play the more u realise some parts of charts in easier songs are sometimes appearing in harder songs
i wouldn't notice that because when i started playing pjsk i played like 3 easy-normal songs and already switched to hard. i never practice on easy or normal so its unnoticeable for me ;v;
@@Shecouldbesatan actually by that I mean when u go from hard mode to master or expert or expert to master
I like ur satanick pfp but i want to crash satanick bith a bazooka,Anyways🫂
@@whatamidoingwuthpjsekai2740yeah i noticed that too

I only started getting AP's once I switched my offset to -5.0 . I think finding the right offset that reliably works for you is the single most crucial part of getting AP's
maybe ill try the offset out
How do you know if it is the right one of you ? You tested it on easy difficulty ?
@@trigunn3414 personally for me I play with hit SE completely off and listen to the sound of my taps (I tap very loud). I wouldn't recommend using easy difficulty to figure out your offset- personally I use don't fight the music on expert because i have really good acc on that song for some reason
@@trigunn3414 You should test it on songs you’re comfortable with, because on easy songs you might focus too hard on tapping accurately rather than tapping casually, which is what you would do when playing.
The advanced options for offset arent here on eng, if its in the news thing could you check when it may come out??????
Me who can’t even fc a song: yesyes useful info
fr
Real
The hardest song i fc'ed is servant of evil on hard mode
an additional tip: if your tiering, casually or for a high rank, don't waste your time playing charts you'll never ap or are far from fcing. try and ap the easier difficulties, i promise it helps. i tiered for the tomorrow we hope for on en and got top 50, before i only had 20 master aps but after the event i easily got 10 more and i'll probably have 40-50 once i get around to aping them.
also, this may be an issue unique to me but some songs have incorrect offset and you should change your offset usually by ±1 if a chart feels off, like you feel like the notes are pushing against you or they feel just out of reach
To be honest, I think if you're trying to tier high. It would be to learn how to play the meta tiering songs (Hitorinbo Envy, Shoujo Rei, Melt, Viva Happy, Jackpot Sad Girl and etc.)
I just tier on auto. That reliably gets me in the top 5k with minimal effort. (Doesn't help that I tore a ligament in my dominant hand and have been trying to play 1 handed.)
@@theelike4302 i dont think that's helpful in the long run cause you lose total energy so you lose rank and trust rank exp, and you cant use auto on multi live so you're losing even more so i would only do that if tiering becomes too physically straining and you wont be able to make it without using it (without chance of physical harm or not enough time)
Another good tip is to learn an actual music instrument. While playing an instrument you have to be really attentive to the rhythm and you have to be precise in your movements, otherwise it doesn't sound right. You also have to move your fingers really fast.
When I heard the quote that every project sekai song can be beaten with two fingers by the tester of the levels, I thought that this person might be a professional musician. Anyways, they do have mad skilz in rhythm games and it takes an immense amount of time to master. x_x
THIS
I play 3 instruments and I love rhythm games because they bring in my band instincts
you dont really need to learn a fking music instrument to ap a master song💀
@@milkii00 they didnt say you HAVE to do it lmao
@@Suzune-P they said its a good tip but who tf is gonna learn an instrument just to get good at a rhythm game
@@milkii00 I mean this could b the thing that finally gets me to pickup my acoustic guitar!!! XDD Lmaoo
My tip is… turn on the late/fast/flick thing and then play a song u want to ap like idk for exemple hitorinbo envy, do the song try ap, and when u’r done you’ll see if u did more “fast” or “early”, so if u got many fast u take ur timing thing on 1 and if it’s late, do -1. Do this again and again and you’ll prob get almost no greats!:) and yeah if u got the same amount of fast and late just do it again and again. Hope this wasn’t confusing :}
how do i turn it on??
@@julia555lol its on the japanese server atm only but in late july it will come on EN!
Thank you for this tip!!! This is precisely what I needed to fully understand my timing!
6:27 a tip, is to stick a mouse pad upside down on a table or on some flat surface, this is a great help for the device not to slip while you play
THANNK UUU SOMETHING I FINALLY HAVEE
ive been playing rhythm games since middle school and prosekai is def in my top three. so crazy to see that a lot of these techniques i learned on my own time!! esp flicking on both sides during a flick+note spam. thought that was just me and worried itd become a bad habit aaaa
SAME abt the flicking on both sides haha
I love how everybody are sharing their tips and tricks in the comments it's so nice♥️
As a variety rhythm game player, I have some opinions as well for improvement. My current state in Proseka is clear
Thanks for your super-detailed insight!
How do you know for sure wich offset is the perfect one for you? You test on easy difficulty?
@@trigunn3414 If the game has a solid offset test system like Etterna or Quaver, I use that. Otherwise, I play my favorite charts/beatmaps that I know for certain are properly synced (i.e. default level offset) and set my global offset from there. It doesn't have to be on Easy for this.
bro wrote a whole essay
/j, it was very interesting to read through :)
Me : trying to ap master for getting madder skills
Also me : great 5 💀💀
Actually the average of greats I usually get is 2-3 but like come on 💀😭
i swear for me if i'm not trying to AP i get the least greats then when I try to AP i get an ungodly amount of greats 💀💀
if anyone in the comments section is looking into learning a musical instrument, when i started playing guitar, project sekai ended up getting easier because the calluses on my fingers made it so that there was less friction between my hand and the tablet screen. not really relevant for those who aren't interested in playing guitar/bass/instruments in general but it's something that i noticed that i thought was kind of interesting.
couple comments:
2:08 definitely never use PL cards so you dont get on the habit of relying on them
2:49 you can flick any direction on non-directional flick notes ONLY (the one that points upwards). Directional flick notes need you to flick to where they point. One tip for flicks is the ALWAYS FLICK UPWARDS and itll register as perfect no matter what kind of flick it is.
6:32 im guessing the red outlined part was just an editing mistake but you really have to stare at the top of the lane (like on the top of the background song cover/picture) because it helps you read the notes better as youre only focused on that one spot
7:46 i recommend searching the song's japanese title so youtube will show the god players from jp/kr/cn where they AP effortlessly
What are pl cards
@@seya-wl1uk PL = "perfect lock", which is the community's term for card skills which correct non-perfect taps to perfect taps.
4* PL cards = correct bads, goods, & greats to perfects
3* PL cards = correct goods & greats to perfects
2* PL cards = correct greats to perfects
@@blankness8whats wrong with using them ?? who cares if someone is reliant on them, isnt that the sole reason theyre in the game anyway ??
@@hawassed bruh when did i say you shouldn't use them 💀 i was just answering a question...
@@hawassed These tips are to get legitimately good at the game. it’s hard to do that when you’re relying on cards that shortcut you into believing you’re as good as the cards are making you (if that makes sense). however the cards are there for a reason, they’re meant to be used and there shouldn’t be any shame to using them. the video and comment are just meant to help you git gud by yourself without needing cards :).
I really recommend DSCF as my first AP song on expert. It has very easy rythm, so i could complete it even without AP cards
For anyone who still don’t get the flicks,
You can swipe the normal ones in any direction.
You’ll have to swipe the directional ones in the correct direction, or you’ll get a great doing otherwise.
I had no idea, this is life changing
better yet just flick upwards on every note. itll register perfect all the time
@@hstkanade Sometimes it’s better otherwise if it flows, but in any case, do whatever you want
I just recently got my first couple of Expert APs. Now I'm going through and trying to get some Master APs so I can get the badge. Thank you for giving me some good tips!
I always found it hard to play with my idex fingers because of the phone sliding away.
So I invented a method. I sit on my bed, my back against the wall with a pillow, I tuck my knees close enough to my face and put the phone in between my thighs, my phone doesn't slide, can get a nice angle and have entirely free hands.
I find that playing on a pillow also creates more friction depending on what type of phone case you have :)
this, but i sit cross legged and put a bunched up blanket/sweater on top of my legs, and on top of that my phone. bad for the back but the phone never slides :D
i sit beside the bed like a chair and put the phone in my lap while pulling my hair out of the way
HELP I JUST ANGLE MY KNEES IN A POSITION WHERE ITS LIKE A LITTLE HILL AND THNE I PUT IT NEAR MY KNEES BUT NOT ON
yep, as an ipad player, i rest my device on my thighs too :)
This is so awesome thank u sm :)) I’ve been just playing for fun for a few months but I’ve gotten to the point where I think I’m ready to take it a bit more seriously and start searching up shit like this lolol so thank u!
2:35 thumb player moment
6:16 damn that hits hard
step 1: get every note perfect
step 2: *yippee*
Turning on late/fast/flick and then adjusting the speed is what I did. 10.8 probably the best
ty for this tut!
LOVELY!! GOTTA PRACTICE
As a amateur rhythm gamer who plays a lot of rhythm games, I personally feel the upgrade of devices to one with a better screen refresh is kinda a factor of getting a good constant accuracy. Many of the times I would be like I was on point all the time and sometimes it’s late and sometimes it’s early. After I got a recent iPad the whole thing gets so smooth and more fps and less lagging.
Imma keep this for later, thanks pal
honestly, such a good guide
im rank 25 and i play mostly on hard mode mostly level 19-10- or expert level 20 to 23- and almost immediately when i played MACHINE GUN i got 1131 perfects and 38 greats. HUGE improvement for me. and im only 1:40 minutes into the video.
another tip so that your device doesn't slide away is that you can use baby powder to smoothen your fingers and it has been LIFE CHANGING for me. flicks became so much easier-
i hate it when my fingers just slide on but i also hate it when it sticks owndksjs idk what to do atp😭
I honestly feel like it’s just a matter of getting the correct timing, I was always playing on -3 and when I switched to -2 I got a master AP so I’m happy about that. Also there’s a lot of good tips in this video so it’s a thumbs up from me! 👍👍👍
Edit: I really really wish the global version has decimal offset because I’m pretty sure my real timing is in between -2 and -3 and it makes getting APs infinitely harder
uhh -2.0 or -0.2?
@@NaisuXI so I wrote this comment before decimal timings came out on global ahahah. Currently I use -2.7 and no hit sounds on iPad and it works fine for me. 11 months later I got 94 master APs. 👌
@@seb3082 tysm!! I wanted to try everyones timing soo..
@@NaisuXI np 👍. I hope you find one that works for you.
Useful tysm 🎉
2:55 Actually, you can basically flick in the wrong direction and still get ap. I did this with NO perfect-lock cards and still managed to register it as “Perfect”
You probably flicked up or down
@@nekoreviews Probably explains why it got registered as perfect then. Thanks
When u came here to just get better and not AP any of the songs 😭
OH MY GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU I FULL COMBO’D WHATS UP POP BECAUSE OF YOU
I have a hard time with the notes that make my fingers slide too far and lose my combo, (the “bouncing” long notes for the bouncing beat) and it makes me super annoyed….if I could have another part discussing this I’d LOVE it !
But thanks to this video I’ve gotten more encouragement to play ! I’ve even gotten better at master thank you ! When I went from -50ms to -30ms it made my combo breaks halfway better (literally…on beat eater I had 8 misses and 2 goods but then next I have 2 misses, goods, and 1 bad)
Tysm bro
Personally for me I just rely on pure luck, my accuracy is different every day and even varies throughout the day lmao
As someone who can NEVER get rid of greats (I've only ever AP'd easy mode) I really hope this helps. Actually, I'll reply to myself in a long while with results lol.
how's it going?
@@ecksdee9768 Lol i’m not there yet, BUT A LOT BETTER
I feel like the only person on the planet who doesn't mess with offset or volume or anything and have just dedicated myself to "Getting Good" lol
Thanks a lot, I can finally All Perfect Melt .-.
6:15 „like my ex left me“ 😭😭😭
most of the time i look at the right and middle so that i can know what beats are coming and i can just time em correctly, but if there are many 1 click notes i just look at the bottom. but one bad habit is not be able to time your hits correctly (sorry if my grammar is wrong)
The stuff about people who use index fingers or thumbs was kinda useless to me, I use both 😭 Like my left hand I use thumb and my right hand I use my index finger so Idk what to do I'm stuck xdd. btw great video it helped alot!!
“There r 2 different play styles using just your index fingers and those who play like a dang piano”
Me who plays with my thumbs🧍
Yo u r so rigth at controlling the emotion :'(
So, i play expert on KING. im a newbie expert, althougth its fine, but when it was near to the end of the song im so nervous, my hand begin to click without matching the note. Sweat everywhere and even un-normal heartbeat :(
I lose my combo at the last note 😭
8:10 that happens to me a lot i get a 1 miss or 1 good when i feel nervous and when my brain is in the void i get a full combo
i just started getting ap after the perfect combo thing was added to sekai ;-;
good idea for flick spamming is to flick in diff directions -- in the tokugawa cup noodle song master flick spam, i do right hand flick up, left hand flick up, right hand flick down, left hand flick down, etc. so i don't have to repeat the same movement many times - it makes it a lot easier
tysm i got 3 aps in hard mode :D
congrats! :D
Very useful Tips. I have 3 AP's on Master right now on the songs "Tell Your World, Copycat and Jishoumushoku" (thumb play), and I think I won't get a lot more AP's by playing with thumbs. Gotta learn how to index 😕
Edit: I'm an index player now and I have 17 AP Masters and 30+ FCs. I can AP songs up to Lv. 28 and FC up to Lv. 29. Lv. 30+ songs are just not for me
Te Amo ...♥️
For eye placement I look somewhere towards the top of the screen, I feel like stating that far down makes me mess up because I’ve been playing this style for eleven months on this game
I’m really good at full combos. Like I can full combo level 31 masters but I always do with at least 200+ greats does anyone else know any other tips?
change ur note higher speed every once in a while
When I realize I’m speeding up faster than the notes I make myself slow down
5 time rules works for me the best lol
not me watching this so I can conquer the new rank feature on ensekai :-:
I can fc but the perfect notes imdying
i always loose it at the note spams. i just cant do them, and it gets worse when they are iregular, like, when you have to use both hands to spam left, right, left, right
I littreally got a pjsk add before this
*Thumb players left the chat*
Brand New Day is one of the few 28 Experts I can't even FC. It's sooo fast
one time i was playing aishite and i almost got an ap but i got a great on th e last note.
i personally can’t play with my fingers on my phone because phones are smaller, but it’s easier to use my fingers with an ipad since they’re bigger and my thumbs wouldn’t be able to stretch out depending where the note is.
first step: be good at project sekai
I usually put the background videos to toe 2D option or the original MV. Having 3D backgrounds kinda trip me out while playing
Ive caught myself counting while playing through songs for full combo and perfect 😭
Like, if it works it works but I can’t play in public
i must take the 5 times rules, because actually i tried one song at 1-2 hour for full combo and then my skill getting worse because of that, after that i can't full combo anything after that.
Thanks for the tips
me playing piano and magically improving only after i learn drum: people improve your sense of rythm it helps a lot!!!!
I got all perfects on the tutorial stage XD (am fairly new) so I want to figure out how to do all perfects outside of the tutorial !
It's when you get 1 miss and after 1 bad after 1 good and finally full combo but then there's 1 great

I’ve been trying to figure out my note stuff for a bit, but about moving up levels once fcing, I don’t think I’m ready to face AMARA on expert just yet 😭 (the end of that song is a nightmare for my reaction time)
I can somewhat ap until I see a directional flick
i was seeing the video, thinking i was going to learn how to do an ap, then i remember that i'm on thumb...
i went from 18 to 27 after 3 weeksi only hope to get better lol
how do u get the "late" or the "fast" thing? like when it says perfect but it has the late bar over it (sorry im bad at explaining)
I come from arcaea and im a thumb player, i was able to get a full combo on an extreme song first try but my accuracy was terrible
i play on phone and when i use the 3 fingers method for the weird sliders it doesnt register😭
for some reason I don't look on top of the lane I look at the very top and my fingers just copy it 😅
His voice is so pretty
"one problem is that your phone will slide away like how my ex left me" 😭😭😭
I use a glove under my phone to dont fly under my hands
Spam notes, my beloved
is the late/fast/flick option exclusive for the jp server?? i dont have it
Yes
Its actually for now
I hope they don't change the way they use flick notes, like BangG Party
I play/ have played a lot of rhythm games, whether on arcade or mobile, for like more than a decade now, but I still don't know how to get rid of my Greats in ProSeka, no matter how much I change the calibration. I get too many Greats in here that I normally wouldn't get as much in other rhythm games, like Arcaea, SDVX, IIDX, etc. I feel like the calibration/ timing window in this game is like a mixed bag because whenever I try to fix the calibration in the options, I would get any number from around +3 to around -3. I just don't get it, and it's so frustrating.
Now I have something callen "Offset Setting Struggling Disease" I want to play on my Lenovo Tab P11 and I cannot set the Offset correctly, I tried too many settings and I cannot make the notes match my taps on screen, and the note sfx doesn't help because they don't sound at the same time as I touch the screen.
What can I do!?
me watching this vid while knowing i cant even get full combo on hard levels
(need to practice)
edit: I CAN NOW FULL COMBO SONGS ON HARD MODE AND CAN CLEAR SOME EXPERT LEVEL ONES
AHHH TYSM FOR THIS
How to perfect : Tap until you get all perfect
im getting better ngl
the ex joke caught me off guard 😭
Can anyone help me everytime i finish a show or quit my game crash how do i fix it?
Pretty good vid, but some stuff in this kinda made me cringe. Firstly, personally I just flick up on every flick note lol, let’s just say that for me the types of flick notes look the same. And I hate sideways flicking (thanks cytus II for that one). And the note spam part, what I call trains, for the love of god don’t try to alternate with 2 fingers on 1 hand. I don’t know anyone who does that. Imo it would be kinda jank to do.
Also I don’t play with perfect locking card when going for AP’s as that’s kinda cheesy imo.
Thanks for your input. I myself use the same finger method and it works well for me. But of course, alternating hands is much better.
For the AP cards, it does help a little and ease the painfulness of APing, so I’m throwing out this option here.
not sure if its adhd or other mental illness i always lose focus, like my mind go empty and lose my rhythm but i can easily fc 29-30lvl songs its just my rhythm is often gone
I neay full combo'd Positive Dance Time on hard using my middle fingers. Where's my middle finger rep at? :(
I love your accent
Thanks lol
