Another tip: If you play coop mode and get Fever/Super Fever, you'll get a higher score. So there's a high chance you'll get a grade increase from it. Also, I believe when you play coop you get more event tokens than when you play solo, so it'll probably give you more crystals from that too.
You dont automatically get a grade up, but because of fever and super fever your acore increases by a lot wich results in usually getting the better grade
for players that need/want to be faster it sometimes not worth to do co-op (SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CONNECTION ISSUES) since the waiting time literally could take longer than the song itself and it's not even 100% sure players won't leave
A tip for EN: Since the EN server is one year behind, what I do is plan the banners I want to pull on and have at least 60K for it if I really want a certain card
omg same! I have a wholeass Google Doc outlining which lim gachas are a need and which ones I can wait for (like, the rerun), and then I write when it starts and who I wanna pull for :D
Another tip is: If you have 10 vouchers for the banner you want then save up 60k crystals if you have no voucher save up for 90k crystals You might be wondering, why? Because sometime the characters you want needed to be spark.
The update to character rank will be out in late September/early October! A lot of long-time players will be receiving upwards of 15k crystal in their giftboxes due to this update :) This update adds a LOT more ways to grind character ranks so please look forward to it!
When I played on Japanese with my first Japanese account, I got that update and I got at least 16k, and I was playing for probably less than a month, so if I got that amount with a fairly new account I feel like longtime players will have much more than that
As someone who had to spend 111k for Honami FES and Toya marriage (170 and 200 pulls respectfully), the self control is really what impacts your savings. I started saving for Toya FES in AUGUST 2022. When my friends, who aren’t really at saving currency, were telling me to do pulls because "anyway, I have so much crystals", I didn’t pull. Why? Because I wanted to be REALLY sure to have enough for my favorite characters. I’ll be honest, I did slip up on some banners (in total I spend maybe ~60k). But, in the long run, I had 109k+ crystals prepared for Toya FES and I finished my rolling session with 81k. In the meantime, I got enough gems to be able to spark two cards with 10 tickets each if I really got unlucky. When I was rolling for Honami and Toya, yes, it did hurt me to see my gems count DROPPING thanks to my horrible luck (I’m more tempted to say karma; I had a really good luck on previous banners). I’m not even joking, I went from having almost 140k gems to 39k. Because of that, I decided to let down cyber Toya to be sure I’ll have enough for Honami birthday and white day Toya (since I prefer having those cards first). At the moment I write this comment, I have 50k gems :) If you don’t want to read all of this: Just focus on the card you really want to have and that will do the trick. So, don’t be tempted to pull on a random banner because "the cards are really pretty". I’ll finish that with an advice: Try to pull on color FES banners since they are supposed to have the rates doubled. OR, pull on limited banners, since the permanent cards are, well, permanent. I feel you. When I first started, I pulled randomly until I saw the villainous cards, then spent six months saving up for that. Skipped so many banners to save for 90k ish, then skipped again until white day, which I barely had enough to spark. Currently, I sit at 140,000-ish for the villanous rerun for Rilliane and for next white day Toya. It sucks not being able to pull for the Mizuki/Ena fes cards but I really wanna guarantee getting the characters I want.
I remember when i managed to save up 80k in around 5 months as a beginner. Now i'm saving for snow mafuyu rerun and have 20k. Hopefully i will have enough by december
Another tip for resisting the urge to pull is not pulling if you're not able to spark for the character you want. It will feel really frustrating when there are multiple cards that you want in a row, but keep in mind that if you start pulling whenever you're able to gather 3000 crystals, you might as well not get any of those cards instead of just getting one

@@strawkat9405 Whenever you do a pull on a gacha, you get an associated sticker. Once you get 300 of those, you can claim one of the featured 4*. This is called "sparking". Furthermore, you can use up to 10 vouchers of the right type which will each reduce the amount of stickers needed by 10.

small tip for challenge shows: if you get tired of hitorinbo envy, you can also play daughter of evil ! daughter of evil gives you around the same score as hitorinbo envy, and sometimes even more !

One tip that I have for f2p players is to mainly pull on colorfes banners. That's because the rates for 4 stars are double the usual. Perm banner cards enter the gacha pool and after a year they can also be traded for in the card shop, while lim banners have overall the worst ratio of 4 stars per 10 pulls (since they don't have a pity system like perm banners). I highly recommend doing this, it can help you save better too since cf banners are once every 3 months i think. It seems like a lot but once I started saving it became an addiction to hoard crystals and now I'm at 117k. Also if you're on EN I recommend looking at the event calendar and planning what cards you'll save for, it helps motivate you.
A reminder for the card shop, you can only trade perma cards with perma gacha vouchers, which you only get from trading in the spark shop of perma banners using perma gacha stickers. Colofes and lim banners on the other hand give lim gacha stickers which you can trade with lim gacha vouchers, but there is no card shop for those meaning you can't use lim gacha vouchers outside of spark shops, and what's tragic is gacha stickers can only be used on their respective spark shops. Edit: tl;dr My point is the card shop for perma cards is useless if you only pull on colorfes/lim banners

@user-yo2qr6td1t i would do challenge show, character rank, and side stories and at one point i was aiming for 5k a day but that only lasted like 6 days and i also try to full combo as many songs on hard/expert as possible, i hope this helps😭
Oh and to add onto the challenge shows for late players- when choosing your best cards to use when playing, level up the cards to the highest limit. This ig maxes out how many crystals you can get from each day. Challenge shows are such a blessing when it comes to giving crystals and especially when you unlock a new space for another character card. Happy playing!
Cool tip: since ENsekai is one year behind, i recommended going to the wiki and see the incoming events and planning on what are you gonna pull and try as hard as you can to get into that focus. That and just pull in colofes banners, they have a better 4* chance, so even if you dont get the card there you will absolutely get at least one 4*
I'm glad to see someone is aware that it's better to save crystals for cards than you REALLY want I am very surprised to see people save for common gachas, I really thought that most would be like me and save for the limited cards of their favorite characters I think it's good advice to save for cards that you really want, especially limited gachas, it happened to me when I wanted Mafuyu's limited card in "The warmth of intersecting melodies" BUT "Mirage of lights" came and I ended up spending all my crystals on that gacha (The saddest part is that I didn't get EVEN ONE CARD FROM THAT EVENT and I ran out of winter Mafuyu card) Also came Mizuki hermit set and well, that was my history Right now I'm saving up for the "Darkness Festa Gacha" and obviously for Mafuyu, I currently have 25k (I would have 55k if I hadn't gotten tempted and rolled on "Nursing My Es gacha" the saddest thing is that I did not get anything in this gacha too -internal screams-) And that's about it, save crystals for limited cards and don't be tempted to roll in common gachas, it's really worth it (especially since I've gotten entire sets of common cards by dropping in the limited gachas) Save for limited gachas and be happy (Just as an edit, I got all the darkness festa set with 140 pulls [+colorful fest Miku, Luka and Mafuyu] i'm so happy right now -sobs-)
On the character ranks part (9:40-11:12), I did the math: Each character has 65 ranks (I think) and as jo mentioned, you get 300 crystals every 5 ranks, so 300 x 65 = 19500 crystals Since there are 26 characters in the game, you get a whopping 507,000 crystals (19500 x 26 = 507,000) Edit: There are some 100 crystals in there too, but I didn't count it due to being scattered everywhere Edit 2: The correct answer is in replies because I did it wrong
you forgot to divide 65 and 5 (since you get 300 every 5 ranks not every rank) so 65 divided by 5 is 13 , 13 multiplied by 300 is 3900, 3900 multiplied by 26 (number of charas) is 101,400. Hopefully I got it right, Im gonna die of embarrasment if I didn't lol
actually you get 100 crystals every 1-2 ranks, which means you can get 7,400 crystals for every character, which totals to 192,400 crystals if you have rank 65 on every character
5:34 another good way to refresh new area conversations is to play a song. you don’t even have to complete the song, you can exit as soon as it starts, and voila! new area convos
this is all great advice but honestly another really important part is just self control. it has been so hard for me not to pull for my favorite characters and it lead to so much spending so just keep that in mind.

REAL. January-February was a HELL for me, because we had Colorfes starting the year, then Mafuyu's birthday set, Kanade's birthday set, Kanade's Limited Card for SV AND THEN MEMOIRS OF WRONGDOINGS. I was relieved because I thought it's rerun would be in May until I watched that announcement.
At the time stamp 9:34, I would also suggest Mentamo Re:born (Idk if I spelt that correctly), I’ve played that song for all my challenge shows and at Expert it’s only lvl 23, there’s just a bunch of small notes, but you can also get a high score if you can FC or AP, it’s just my preference though

I was grinding for wedding Toya for … eleven hours…. But when I got him I was so happy. This new event rn has a Toya card I wanted but I’m ALSO saving for the kagamine birthday, so I risked one 3k… and got Toya first pull 🥺🥺💖💖💖 he came home and now I can save all the crystals for the birthday events
Also BTW guys abt the virtual shows, you do NOT get any crystals for joining birthday shows you only get cover cards (but could help with character ranks) and a title so if you are struggling to get cr (character ranks) up I recommend to join them
I've been playing for over a year (on and off,but still consistently) and I only recently learned how to read events that are actually happening at the moment of the game (not event stories thing) by just clicking on it(oh wow) and apparently I lost so many crystal due to that now 😃

13:35 CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!! To make the most out of your crystals, try to ONLY pull on banners you absolutely must have!! Though I suggest pulling for lims only, since perms are always available. You can find all future events/cards online, so I strongly suggest having a look and plan accordingly!
Toya being the favorite is so real😭 I’m rank 101 and I only have Toya and Akito unlocked for challenge shows because they are my #1 favorites. Also same, I only pull limited Toya and Akito’s, sometimes Tsukasa or Rui. Im really mad though because I got an early 4* on Cyber/Sniper and it was Nene not Toya :( I didn’t even get the 3* Akito
It’s been 4days since I played this game and I did more than 60pulls,I didn’t put any money into this game and I still have 10k crystals rn,I play the Chinese version,and crystals are so easy to get!! I have 5 four stars,and I’m saving for 19k (9k to goo)
honestly having a strict pull schedule helps a lot, i've been running on a schedule i planned around a year ago and i've been able to get almost every card i've wanted, and i've even been able to spark twice (60k + 10 tix for both). i never, and i mean NEVER pull just for fun, i exclusively pull with intent and after several trains of thought revolving around "are you SURE you want this card?". also if worse comes to worse and you HAVE to go non-f2p, get colorful+ basic, and if you decide to tier during a certain month, premium mission pass is pretty good too.
A bit late, but another tip is to NOT pull for permanent cards. It's hard to do, takes a lot of self control, but if you're an f2p, you may want to try to control the urgencies. Just pull on limited banners. I think it's more worth the crystals. Especially colorfes banners.
After losing the chance of getting Rui’s Colorfes card it’s a lot easier for me to just not pull anymore because I do NOT want that happening to me again 😭 I’m still devastated
TIPS, SOME WERE PROBABLY MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO: Viewing area conversations will give you 10 crystals per one, also no need to go through the whole thing, you can just skip it and still get 10 crystals. Viewing area conversations can maybe increase a character’s rank, which at some point of a rank up it can give crystals. If you get a super fever in coop you can get a higher score, and I’m pretty sure that leads to crystals. (Playing a show doesn’t give any crystals sometimes, but if you get a super fever crystals are definitely gonna get given to you.) If you play on easy most of the time (mostly beginners do) try normal on Tell Your World. You will get a higher score, and I think that leads to crystals?? You can try it Normal player? Stick to where you are rn until normal gets too easy for you. Then try hard. Trust me I mostly play on hard and I’m not ready for expert 💀 (this isn’t a tip for crystals but who cares) If I think about more I’ll write it here (probably won’t)

learning to control the urge to pull is the key, know your targets, you can check future banners of EN server since most of its banners is out just 1 year after it's out on the JP server.

For any en players: choose an event to save for (for me, it’s Our Happy Ending) and if an event gacha comes and u like the card, think “well, what I’m saving for is prettier plus it’s my favorite character (for me, idk about u) and if it’s permanent I can get it while pulling for the event I’m saving for, if it’s not permanent, I might be able to get it during colorfes if that’s how they work”
another tip! if you buy a lot of songs from the shop and are too lazy to play it, you can get your friends or randoms in co-op and select the songs that you haven't played yet for crystals

hii! i did some math with character ranks! if you get to the max with every character,you will get MORE than 171k crystals,since i only counted the 300s,while there are also lots of 100s
About the challenge shows, if you play hitorinbo envy, which is around 1 minute, it will take about 30 minutes to do a challenge show. (to unlock a character for challenge show it takes 30 shows with them as the leader, meaning 1 x 30 = 30). There are 26 characters, so 26 x 30 = 780 and if you divide that into hours it’ll be 780 x 60 = 13. So 13 hours in total for all characters, so it should take around a day to finish it if you play hitorinbo envy.
playing hitorinbo envy 780 times is extremely tedious (especially since the chart is literal garbage) so id honestly have it happen naturally and keep switching the leader of your team so youre naturally unlocking challenge shows as you play
now from en update: there are lots event stories, that youve missed, if youre not on pjsk from the start. just aggressively tap (dont skip or ff) and get your 50 crystals per story
I can definitely say this is true especially not rolling, but also self control and grinding. I made 90k in about a week and sparked for mizuki and got 18 4*s, and this was all in a week, but because Jo does yt videos she always does 30k caps and has made about 3-5 videos so that’s a lot of crystals spent, and she still has a lot. So in total its about 400k crystals SHES saved in a year

@@strawkat9405 Whenever you do a pull on a gacha, you get an associated sticker. Once you get 300 of those, you can claim one of the featured 4*. This is called "sparking".
Furthermore, you can use up to 10 vouchers of the right type which will each reduce the amount of stickers needed by 10.

small tip for challenge shows: if you get tired of hitorinbo envy, you can also play daughter of evil ! daughter of evil gives you around the same score as hitorinbo envy, and sometimes even more !

One tip that I have for f2p players is to mainly pull on colorfes banners. That's because the rates for 4 stars are double the usual. Perm banner cards enter the gacha pool and after a year they can also be traded for in the card shop, while lim banners have overall the worst ratio of 4 stars per 10 pulls (since they don't have a pity system like perm banners). I highly recommend doing this, it can help you save better too since cf banners are once every 3 months i think. It seems like a lot but once I started saving it became an addiction to hoard crystals and now I'm at 117k. Also if you're on EN I recommend looking at the event calendar and planning what cards you'll save for, it helps motivate you.
A reminder for the card shop, you can only trade perma cards with perma gacha vouchers, which you only get from trading in the spark shop of perma banners using perma gacha stickers. Colofes and lim banners on the other hand give lim gacha stickers which you can trade with lim gacha vouchers, but there is no card shop for those meaning you can't use lim gacha vouchers outside of spark shops, and what's tragic is gacha stickers can only be used on their respective spark shops.
Edit: tl;dr My point is the card shop for perma cards is useless if you only pull on colorfes/lim banners

Oh and to add onto the challenge shows for late players- when choosing your best cards to use when playing, level up the cards to the highest limit. This ig maxes out how many crystals you can get from each day. Challenge shows are such a blessing when it comes to giving crystals and especially when you unlock a new space for another character card. Happy playing!
Cool tip: since ENsekai is one year behind, i recommended going to the wiki and see the incoming events and planning on what are you gonna pull and try as hard as you can to get into that focus.
That and just pull in colofes banners, they have a better 4* chance, so even if you dont get the card there you will absolutely get at least one 4*

I am very surprised to see people save for common gachas, I really thought that most would be like me and save for the limited cards of their favorite characters
I think it's good advice to save for cards that you really want, especially limited gachas, it happened to me when I wanted Mafuyu's limited card in "The warmth of intersecting melodies" BUT "Mirage of lights" came and I ended up spending all my crystals on that gacha (The saddest part is that I didn't get EVEN ONE CARD FROM THAT EVENT and I ran out of winter Mafuyu card)
Also came Mizuki hermit set and well, that was my history
Right now I'm saving up for the "Darkness Festa Gacha" and obviously for Mafuyu, I currently have 25k (I would have 55k if I hadn't gotten tempted and rolled on "Nursing My Es gacha" the saddest thing is that I did not get anything in this gacha too -internal screams-)
And that's about it, save crystals for limited cards and don't be tempted to roll in common gachas, it's really worth it (especially since I've gotten entire sets of common cards by dropping in the limited gachas)
Save for limited gachas and be happy

On the character ranks part (9:40-11:12), I did the math:
Each character has 65 ranks (I think) and as jo mentioned, you get 300 crystals every 5 ranks, so
300 x 65 = 19500 crystals
Since there are 26 characters in the game, you get a whopping 507,000 crystals (19500 x 26 = 507,000)
Edit: There are some 100 crystals in there too, but I didn't count it due to being scattered everywhere

you forgot to divide 65 and 5 (since you get 300 every 5 ranks not every rank) so 65 divided by 5 is 13 , 13 multiplied by 300 is 3900, 3900 multiplied by 26 (number of charas) is 101,400. Hopefully I got it right, Im gonna die of embarrasment if I didn't lol

REAL. January-February was a HELL for me, because we had Colorfes starting the year, then Mafuyu's birthday set, Kanade's birthday set, Kanade's Limited Card for SV AND THEN MEMOIRS OF WRONGDOINGS. I was relieved because I thought it's rerun would be in May until I watched that announcement.

At the time stamp 9:34, I would also suggest Mentamo Re:born (Idk if I spelt that correctly), I’ve played that song for all my challenge shows and at Expert it’s only lvl 23, there’s just a bunch of small notes, but you can also get a high score if you can FC or AP, it’s just my preference though

honestly having a strict pull schedule helps a lot, i've been running on a schedule i planned around a year ago and i've been able to get almost every card i've wanted, and i've even been able to spark twice (60k + 10 tix for both). i never, and i mean NEVER pull just for fun, i exclusively pull with intent and after several trains of thought revolving around "are you SURE you want this card?". also if worse comes to worse and you HAVE to go non-f2p, get colorful+ basic, and if you decide to tier during a certain month, premium mission pass is pretty good too.
A bit late, but another tip is to NOT pull for permanent cards. It's hard to do, takes a lot of self control, but if you're an f2p, you may want to try to control the urgencies. Just pull on limited banners. I think it's more worth the crystals. Especially colorfes banners.

TIPS, SOME WERE PROBABLY MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO:
Viewing area conversations will give you 10 crystals per one, also no need to go through the whole thing, you can just skip it and still get 10 crystals. Viewing area conversations can maybe increase a character’s rank, which at some point of a rank up it can give crystals.
If you get a super fever in coop you can get a higher score, and I’m pretty sure that leads to crystals. (Playing a show doesn’t give any crystals sometimes, but if you get a super fever crystals are definitely gonna get given to you.)
If you play on easy most of the time (mostly beginners do) try normal on Tell Your World. You will get a higher score, and I think that leads to crystals?? You can try it
Normal player? Stick to where you are rn until normal gets too easy for you. Then try hard. Trust me I mostly play on hard and I’m not ready for expert 💀 (this isn’t a tip for crystals but who cares)

Thank you! I managed to farm 60k crystals for the Game Over gacha (I think that's how if called or Game On Idk it's a cool event) and got all the characters!! (Nene, Emu and Toya). Plus a miku card, a Luka card and a Kanade card :)

learning to control the urge to pull is the key, know your targets, you can check future banners of EN server since most of its banners is out just 1 year after it's out on the JP server.
I think this wasnt mentioned, but when you join past virtual shows, and gain stamps from that, it still gives you character stamps.

For any en players: choose an event to save for (for me, it’s Our Happy Ending) and if an event gacha comes and u like the card, think “well, what I’m saving for is prettier plus it’s my favorite character (for me, idk about u) and if it’s permanent I can get it while pulling for the event I’m saving for, if it’s not permanent, I might be able to get it during colorfes if that’s how they work”

if you buy a lot of songs from the shop and are too lazy to play it, you can get your friends or randoms in co-op and select the songs that you haven't played yet for crystals

About the challenge shows, if you play hitorinbo envy, which is around 1 minute, it will take about 30 minutes to do a challenge show. (to unlock a character for challenge show it takes 30 shows with them as the leader, meaning 1 x 30 = 30). There are 26 characters, so 26 x 30 = 780 and if you divide that into hours it’ll be 780 x 60 = 13. So 13 hours in total for all characters, so it should take around a day to finish it if you play hitorinbo envy.
playing hitorinbo envy 780 times is extremely tedious (especially since the chart is literal garbage) so id honestly have it happen naturally and keep switching the leader of your team so youre naturally unlocking challenge shows as you play
now from en update: there are lots event stories, that youve missed, if youre not on pjsk from the start. just aggressively tap (dont skip or ff) and get your 50 crystals per story
I can definitely say this is true especially not rolling, but also self control and grinding. I made 90k in about a week and sparked for mizuki and got 18 4*s, and this was all in a week, but because Jo does yt videos she always does 30k caps and has made about 3-5 videos so that’s a lot of crystals spent, and she still has a lot. So in total its about 400k crystals SHES saved in a year
