I agree that the 30-Seconds Outdoor Cleaner works pretty well, but there are some reasons to consider mixing your own solution. The main reason I mix my own solution (and the reason why most people do it) is to save money on the solution. My best cost for 30-Second Cleaner is about $12/gallon, which is a 5% Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) solution. I can buy the 10% SH from the pool store for $5/gallon, or when diluted 50/50 with water, it is $2.50/gallon. Diluting it 50/50 with water changes the 10% SH to 5% SH, which is the same SH concentration as what the 30-Seconds Cleaner has. Now you do want to add a surfactant also, which helps the solution stick to the siding. I use a couple drops of bleach-safe Dawn dish washing liquid as a surfactant, but you can purchase surfactant from stores like Tractor Supply or Southern States. This solution works as well as the 30-Seconds Cleaner. From experience you will find that one 64-oz bottle of 30-Seconds will go really fast and only do one side of the house, so expect to use several bottles depending on how much cleaning you have to do. I have refilled the 30-Second Cleaner hose sprayer bottle with my own solution, because the bottle does work well with a hose, but depending on your hose water pressure, you may find that the 30-Seconds Cleaner has difficulty reaching high 2nd-story siding. If you can't reach those high spots with the 30-Second Cleaner sprayer then I recommend using a power washer with a downstream injector and long reaching nozzle. In that setup, which is known as "soft washing," the downstream injector sucks the SH solution from a bucket and the long reaching nozzle can shoot the solution very high. If you mix your own solution, follow the same warnings on the 30-Seconds Cleaner bottle, pre and post-treating plants, wearing PPE, always post rinse, etc. Whether you use 30-Seconds Cleaner or mix your own, there are going to be times where you need to go back and do a second application for spots that you missed. There are also going to be things that SH solutions like 30-Seconds Cleaner can't remove like tiger striping (on gutters), rust stains, oil/grease, paint/graffiti, and oxidation. Luckily, there are other cleaners that can handle most of those issues though.
I agree and prefer the 30 Second Cleaner. It's amazing. Works really well and with no mess. Great Video and I thank you for a simple, quick, and easy way to clean vinyl siding. 😊
10% 1 gallon is 5.97 / gallon in Tennessee haven't found a reasonable pool supply store here yet . Whenever I get more business I'll just order it bulk I'm thinking!
The 30 second cleaner bottle label says 8% NaCl 6% proprietary ingredients (detergent) 86% inert ingredients (water) So it is easy enough to mix a batch yourself
@@gregford9621 That what I did using the 30 sprayer bottle. I mixed it 1/3 10% pool chlorine and a good squirt of dawn. It seem to work the same as the 30 sec stuff.
Household bleach is about 3%-9% NaClO. So this product is just undiluted bleach? I guess that makes sense given that you apply it with a hose end sprayer, thus diluting it.
@@FloridaFamFive What's the trick? I bought a gallon and I wrote to the company and asked them if I could refill and use the sprayer a second time and they said no.

Are you refilling your 30 Second Cleaner 64oz Bottle? Comment and let me know!
Oh no. I m happy with the outcome of 30 sec.
@@theresaharter-ex7hl thats so good to hear.
I refilled from the gallon jug of cleaner. I added a squirt of dawn. Worked great, but refilled jug emptied even faster that original.
No way, I am so happy with the results of the 30 second cleaner.
@@BettyWilchek that's good to hear! Best on the market!

You suppose to mix about 10% bleach, 10% detergent /Degreaser and 80%water. Not straight bleach
I used 30 sec
Cleaner on my pool enclosure ,came out amazing
This is one of my favorite things to use this for! Thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks for the video buddy. Have you considered the gallon of the 30 second stuff refilling back into the 64 oz bottle?
Your welcome. Yes I have don't that also.
I had 2 of those flex hoses blow up on me within months of buying them from Walmart.
@@raz3032 oh you did. I hope your ok. I don't own any flex hoses good think I don't.
I agree with you. Its better and easier to just pick up the 30 second cleaner in the 64 oz bottle and get it clean.
Curious to what the mixture was ,gpm of water to s h
I buy 1 30 Second sprayer and keep refilling it with a big bottle of 30 Second Cleaner
@@CaboWabotv I guess that works ok.
Should have covered to A/C unit before spraying the pool chlorine .
You know I thought about that and just forgot.
Next time add a laundry detergent as a surfactant.
The surfactant is already in there.

I spoke with the company and they said "64 oz. Outdoor Ready-To-Spray Cleaner" for one-time use.
No refills.
