Absolutely stunning hike Anita. Didn't know that the 🐍🐍 were sleeping in the winter months. Enjoyed seeing the volcanic rock and porous walls left behind. But the guy with a big 👃was looking back at me! 🤣🤣 The slot canyon was interesting as you mention. We'd need to take the elevator! Easy is in the eye of the beholder. Would be cool to hear the wind in person at the banshee canyon. That is so cool, it really does look like Swiss cheese. Those rings look like they can be quite tricky to climb up, wow! I love this new adventure! If you want to get away from people, you probably need to go there, though rattlesnakes 🐍 something scares me! But the rocks with holes surprised me very much, somehow unusual! But it is very convenient to move around, the rings are very well thought out!🙋♂️👍👍👍

Yes that is the first thing that comes into a lot of people's minds. But they do tend to hibernate in the winter months. In all my travels throughout the western US, I have never run into one. It was a fun place to explore, even if we were the only ones there!

I just gave an assignment to students to do research on keystone species in Mojave desert, listen to your explanation now I knew the correct pronunciation which for us will be spelt as Mohavi. The rattlesnake encounter chance sounds scary glad that it hibernate during winter. Very rocky near the peak. You have so much stamina, I'm not sure whether I be able to climb all those big rocks. Enjoyed much watching the video.

This is truly an awe-inspiring desert hike. The rock formations are super cool, you can just wander through and admire the natural formations and holes. It's a nice easy hike to get there where you can admire nature and see desert plants and creatures. Enjoyed this fabulous exploration 🌵🌵😀👍👍

I had heard about rattlesnakes hibernating and we actually have some in the bluffs here in Wisconsin. It was shocking to learn that they can be this far up North. 😯⚠️
I was thinking this place looks very hermit friendly and then you said it 🙂If I was venturing out there I'd tell someone for sure where I was going and the route I was taking as it's pretty desolate and no phone signal. Having said that there looks like some fabulous rock formations which I'd have been tempted to climb up. Then again you did hike up doing some scrambling and bouldering. Having to negotiate rings would have been a new one on me. It looked a lot of fun and a great adventure.
Negotiating those rings were new for us too! But it was fun. Yes this indeed is an extremely hermit friendly location. We are kind of used to locations such as this, so we always make sure that we have water and food with us. The rock formations here are very cool. Have a great week!

Loved how you filmed this. You captured the ring section so nicely. Looks like you had beautiful weather, those bright blue skies! Our family has actually hiked this trail before and we all enjoyed it. We didn't get to see much more of the preserve when we were there several years ago since we were in a rental car and some of the dirt roads were not in great condition.

The ring section at around the 7:15 mark looked really fun. Almost a mini via-ferrata. Just so much fun to scramble up there.

This is truly an awe-inspiring desert hike. The rock formations are super cool, you can just wander through and admire the natural formations and holes. It's a nice easy hike to get there where you can admire nature and see desert plants and creatures. Enjoyed this fabulous exploration 🌵🌵😀👍👍

Your right! I love Scooby Doo! It could be like 'The Phantom of Banshee Canyon'. This was a fun place to explore and I am glad that we did it in the winter months when it wasn't so hot. Take care!

I had heard about rattlesnakes hibernating and we actually have some in the bluffs here in Wisconsin. It was shocking to learn that they can be this far up North. 😯⚠️
I have heard that we have some along the bluffs here too in Minnesota along the Mississippi river, south of Red Wing. But I have never seen one!
I was thinking this place looks very hermit friendly and then you said it 🙂If I was venturing out there I'd tell someone for sure where I was going and the route I was taking as it's pretty desolate and no phone signal. Having said that there looks like some fabulous rock formations which I'd have been tempted to climb up. Then again you did hike up doing some scrambling and bouldering. Having to negotiate rings would have been a new one on me. It looked a lot of fun and a great adventure.
Negotiating those rings were new for us too! But it was fun. Yes this indeed is an extremely hermit friendly location. We are kind of used to locations such as this, so we always make sure that we have water and food with us. The rock formations here are very cool. Have a great week!

Loved how you filmed this. You captured the ring section so nicely. Looks like you had beautiful weather, those bright blue skies! Our family has actually hiked this trail before and we all enjoyed it. We didn't get to see much more of the preserve when we were there several years ago since we were in a rental car and some of the dirt roads were not in great condition.
Very cool that you have been hiking on the Rings Loop Trail before. We thought it was a fun hike. Yes the roads in the Mojave National Preserve can be a bit challenging at times. I hope you are having a great Sunday!
