Chase away the chill with the lightweight, collapsible Original Candle Lantern. This trusted, time-tested lantern fights dampness and brightens up camp or the backyard. Ideal for backpacking, mountaineering, snow camping and other outdoor pursuits, this classic lantern provides cozy heat and natural light for up to 9 hours (per candle). Surrounded by a sturdy metal frame and a glass chimney, the candle is lit in a flash-slide the chimney down and light the exposed wick. As the candle burns, the spring-powered tube pushes the candle up for a reliable, constant flame. Monitor the candle for remaining burn time through the viewing slot on the side of the lantern.

i just got my kit received, that was great but i wondered how the reflector can be stored in the case as well? that will make scratch easily to the body.
Also seems the new one does not have a printed logo on it? just a UCO logo sticker on it.

I like you, UCO... but that candle lantern needs some improvement/change.
The metal sleeve that's supposed to hold onto the candle wax and push it up as it burns, as it heats from the candle burning, melts the wax inside below the combustion chamber and the entire unused, supposed "9-hour" wax drips down through the springs, and make it into a "2-hour" candle with a blob of wax congested within the springs...
    Or did I get a lemon? :(

Yep. Personally I have bought the candle lantern kit, it consists of:
      1. Lantern
      2. Candle
      3. Side reflector
      4. Cocoon(neoprene case).
      I love it

@@thomaslcarpenter2105 You are right, in the video there is no trace of the "cocoon", we see only the lantern, the reflector and the candle. Maybe the video has missed a part :) or the kit consists only of these 3 parts.
I wish I could find the pac-flat reflector, I bet you have it. I will make one by myself. It seems that the new candle lanterns are made in China, lucky you if yours were made in USA

@@b.o.4396 these used to be available from UCO but apparently not now judging by your comment. I have four of them...two for my candle lanterns and two for my oil style lanterns. I have seen them available at various sites on the net.
but your idea of making them sounds intriguing. That will be a nice project and upon completion should give a nice sense of accompolishment. If there were some means of contacting you I could end a photo of mine.
