Alien: Romulus Cast Share the Art of Dying and What It's Like to Join an Iconic Franchise

- "All other priorities are rescinded." Alien: Romulus is invading theaters soon, and to celebrate director Fede Álvarez's entry into the Alien franchise, the cast hit Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year. While there, Collider's Steve Weintraub had the pleasure of sitting down with the doomed crew of this direct sequel to find out what it's like to meet your untimely end at the hands of a Xenomorph.
"You want to die well," star Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) tells us as her castmates, David Jonsson (Industry), Isabela Merced (Madame Web), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), and Spike Fearn (Aftersun), regale us with the horrors from set. This is the group of space colonizers who make a fateful decision to scavenge an abandoned ship-Rain (Spaeny), Andy (Jonsson), Kay (Merced), Tyler (Renaux), Bjorn (Fearn), and Navarro, played by Aileen Wu in their feature debut. While searching for a way out of their situation, they stumble across a hive of one of the deadliest known life forms and must fight to survive.

Thats because they’d been in those seats for hours answering questions from multiple media outlets. Theres at least 4 i’ve seen in that same room with same layout and all of them in the same clothes. You’d be bored senseless too.

Opening question: What was your first exposure to this franchise?
I think people should give a break so those kids could get some good rest. After 2k interviews we can clearly see they are exhausted and bored. I am impressed with Spaeny mentioned names such as Giger....Stan Winston ....etc....Shows a great respect and from What I heard....those kids really nailed in this movie ! can´t wait to see it !!! It´s going to be a GAME CHANGER and restore our faith in the franchise once more.!!!!!! Cailee is simply gourgeous!!!

@@ColliderInterviews as an interviewer I would expect you to do your research. In ALIENS Ripley, Newt, Hicks, and bishop all survive. How did you get one maybe two? In Alien resurrection the entire crew pretty much lives. Alien covenant, you have three crew members plus all the people on the covenant survive.
My guess in Romulus is Andy and Rain survive

What a stupid question to ask them. What's it like to die? Yet another reason why people don't like Collider now like they did in the past. Plus these guys are clearly exhausted. What's the saying "If you want it bad enough you need to sacrifice." I don't feel sorry for them. This is the name of the game. They just need better health routines and managed time in their lives.

theres a youtube series called no cgi is really just invisible cgi, i suggest you watch it to educate yourself before speaking again... trust me almost every single frame in every big movie production is retouched using CG. even christopher nolan movies which according to him lack cg almost completely (lying again) are full of cg.

@@LS-tk7hpi think ur taking it too literally, of course there is cgi all over a scene but its using practical wherever possible. Its using sets and actual props or filming on a location instead of filming primarily in a blue screen room where everything is cgi minus the actors and key props and them acting against tennis balls.
