    The chords before the allegro are very similar to the end of the second movement of scriabin's 4th sonata.

      most likely a normal Steinway model D, except Moravec was a master of touch and also kinda capable piano tuner, so he was able to get the hammers to his preferred condition. Furthermore, I think he recorded this sonata in 1970 with Connoisseur Society, which back then was an audiophile studio, I really doubt there is a better classical recording than that of Moravec Chopin's Nocturnes with Connoisseur Society from 1965.
