Just a little tip. When passing text from the ExcelData variable to the notepad or to any other application, if you get the error “Argument text must be encrypted value” you need to take ExcelData variable, encrypt it with AES, that will generate a variable called EncryptedData. Take that one, decrypte it, and then you will get a DecryptedData variable, this is the one you will pass as text. It’s weird but it worked for me. Other than that, great tutorial, thanks!

Hello thanks for this nice tutorial. Is it possible to write to an excel sheet that is already opened? Each time I try it it would open another instance of the sheet in read only mode so writing is not possible…

Anders regarding the speed at which you talk. RUclips allows you to change the playback speed (slower or faster) in the playback settings (little cog in lower left part of screen). This will allow you to speak normally and allow all users to select their preferred playback speed.
Great video Anders. If I can make a suggestion--use an external microphone or a lav mic as you speak very softly and it is hard to hear what you are saying. There is a lot of sound reflection in the room you are recording in. It sounds like you are in a tunnel. Otherwise the content of your video is terrific.

Hey Phillip, that is 99% not because of the size of your Excel. I've done projects with Excel books with several thousands rows. Thanks for the video. Have you found Control + V? I have not found that so far. Also have you already tried element selection on websites like in uipath? I also experience error when trying to add current item to google search bar in browser. Have you done that yet?

Do you know is it possible to make a reference to a whole column by the header name from the first row or column index? I've applied Read data from Excel to my data (from column 1, row 1 until last column and last row) and now would like to refer to the whole column, which name is "Test" (Test is a text in B1 cell). I've figured out how to get an access to the whole row, for instance: %ExcelData[1]%, to a specific cell %ExcelData[1][2]%, but don't know how to get a column: %ExcelData[][2]% has a syntax error, %ExcelData[2]% will refer to the second row, not a column and %ExcelData['Test']% gives an error message: " Variable 'ExcelData' doesn't have a property 'Test' ". In desktop automate , one email have multiple data to crop. I am able to successfully crop (using flag between two text) only first set of data. I not able to crop the next ...set of text data in that same email. How to do that?

Anders regarding the speed at which you talk. RUclips allows you to change the playback speed (slower or faster) in the playback settings (little cog in lower left part of screen). This will allow you to speak normally and allow all users to select their preferred playback speed.

Great video Anders. If I can make a suggestion--use an external microphone or a lav mic as you speak very softly and it is hard to hear what you are saying. There is a lot of sound reflection in the room you are recording in. It sounds like you are in a tunnel. Otherwise the content of your video is terrific.

You have to Encrypt the value and decrypt the value and decrypted value need to pass.

Do you know is it possible to make a reference to a whole column by the header name from the first row or column index?
I've applied Read data from Excel to my data (from column 1, row 1 until last column and last row) and now would like to refer to the whole column, which name is "Test" (Test is a text in B1 cell).
I've figured out how to get an access to the whole row, for instance: %ExcelData[1]%, to a specific cell %ExcelData[1][2]%, but don't know how to get a column: %ExcelData[][2]% has a syntax error, %ExcelData[2]% will refer to the second row, not a column and %ExcelData['Test']% gives an error message: " Variable 'ExcelData' doesn't have a property 'Test' ".
