    Amazing. Thank you. I have a question. I have a registration form built in SSRS and I want to record the fields as variable so every time I read the data from an excel file it automatically inserts them into the registration form and clicks the submit button to be added to the SQL database.     Hi , I have 40 columns in my excel to fill up
    For each column the value i stored in a variable to write to excel and i can able to increase the row count to add
    But, for each column I end up with using 40 write to excel activities
    Can you please suggest how to use one write to cell action by storing the data in datatable or in any other way please

    I tried the technique on PAD, but it’s not recognizing the columns once it reads the data from excel even when the ‘exceldata’ flow variable shows the column names. I tried using both column names and numbers.
    Where am I going wrong?

    isn't a way to access a data value by the column name instead of the index? I ask this beacause if the columns order changes then the automation will fail or throw strange results.

    Hello, thank you very much for this clear and understandable video, very good learning material. I now am wondering how you would proceed with the following. Let's assume you have the same content in the spreadsheet, but you have multiple employees for each company. Now you want to enter all these data into a CRM system. Assume you have listed three companies and each company has three employees in your spreadsheet. For the first company, you create a new record in the CRM system and insert the data of the company of the first row. Once saved, you have to add the name of the first employee. So you click on a button in the CRM system to add an employee record for that company. You do the same for the next two employees. However, on the fourth row, there is a new company and its three employees. How do you detect with Power Automate Desktop there's a new company to be added, and than the three employees of that company? Looking forward to a next great video! Thanks in advance.

      Thanks for your feedback.
      One idea to consider is to first retrieve the company name from your spreadsheet, then check whether the company already exists in your CFM. If yes, proceed to add the employee record. Otherwise, create the company record first.

    Hello, thank you for the helpful video. My issue is that I have a list of 2 columns with around 100 rows of data. I need to loop 10 at a time until it reaches blank. Which loop would I need to use?
    Basically looks like this: (In web)
    Enter Row 1
    Press Submit
    Enter Row 2
    Press Submit
    Enter Row 3
    Press Submit
    ...
    Enter Row 10
    Press Submit
    Then start another loop starts from Row 11. and then goes through the same cycle until it reaches a blank cell.

      You'd be better off just using a regular loop with 2 variables for your start and end, a label before the loop and a GoTo tag inside an IF condition.
      First place a label and call it anything, let's say 'BeforeLoop'
      Lets call your start variable 'LoopStart' and give it a value of 2. Let's call your end variable 'LoopEnd' and give it the value of '%LoopStart + 10%'.
      With this you will be able to start your loop anywhere and end after the 10th row, which will be 12 in this case.
      To have the loop start again from let's say Row 13, simply set the variable of %LoopStart% to %LoopEnd + 1% AFTER the loop ends.
      Now with the LoopStart being 13, you can place an IF condition to check if your flow should do the loop again or it's done. If you want to keep going, use a GoTo Tag and set it to the label created at the start ('BeforeLoop'), if not, just continue the flow and you're good to go.

      Depends on what you are trying to loop. For example, if it is a datatable, you can use the action "For each". Hope this helps.

    Great video! Two questions arose while watching your video. If I create a "For each" my datatable contains blank lines. Every other line is blank. How do I remove the blank lines? Secondly, I would like to write the data in my datatable to another Excel file in specified cells. Is this possible?

    For Method #2, rather than using the column index number, an alternative would be to use the column header name.
    So %CurrentItem[0]% would become %CurrentItem['First Name']%. And so on...
    Using the index number would require that you modify the workflow should you insert a new column at the beginning, or if you decide to reorder the columns so that Column 0 and 1 no longer correspond to First/Last name.
