I do like the way these engines sound, had a 2.0 SXT Dart in mexico with a 6 spd, okay it was slow, but boy it was slow car fun, it just sounded SO good..
I bought a 2020 Jeep Cherokee with the 2.4 Tiger shark before I knew about the multiair and all that from fiat. I drive 88 miles a day to get to and from work so my plan is to use good filters and run Pennzoil Ultra platinum 0w-20 every 4K. When I change my oil at 4K it is halfway up the hash marks and my transmission is smooth as can be. My only complaint is the 2.4 is weak and 75mph causes it to change gears a lot but it is a 9 speed.
9th gear is almost useless. Unless you’re on a flat road with 20+ mph winds At your back. However, two trips with these conditions I got around 40 mpg one way. The other way I got around 18
In the 4 years that I have had my Renegade, it has never shifted into 9th by itself. I manually put it in 9th once and it was too tall to pull. Dropped it back down to 8.
Hello. Do you recommend this car with this engine with automatic gear box ZF 9HP? I'm from Poland and I'm thinking about buying and importing such a car for myself from USA. I just found some offer for a car like this from insurance company. Car is after some small accident. What you think? About oil consumption I heard some rumours about changing oil specification. Some workshops change 0w20 to 0w30 or 5w30. Oil with specification 0w20 is good for Multiair lifetime but can be a cause oil burning.
I have an 04 Ford freestar that uses 0 oil in between 6k changes ... It's sad how ppl pay 10x more for these vehicles and consider a 1 to 2 quarts normal oil consumption
They're in a class action lawsuit. There is now a service bulletin to replace the long block under warranty regardless of mileage. I have a '17 Renegade with only 16k. I go through a quart per 1500 miles. IDK if I want to be bothered with the hassle and uncertainty of tearing apart everything under the hood. I have been down this exact road with Ford. I had a T-Bird with the bad 3.8L head/intake gaskets(there were millions of them). Ford did the job under warranty. The car never ran right again. Back and forth to the dealer with Temp issues, oil leaks and emissions problems.

Thanks for confirming the software update works. I’ve saved someone from selling their car because of that update. I love chrysler❤️.

Maybe you can make a new tool by duct taping the magnet tool to the socket extension.
