Who would have thought, way back at Brain's studio in Astoria Queens, you become one of the world's premiere DJs' I' 'm 73 years old, and I will die a House Head. This is by far one of my top 3 sets of all time! House Music is Life!

He's one of the best....
You need to have reached a certain level of musical awareness... and a lot of people have not, obviously :) . To accept all the influences of soul, funk & jazz you also need to be bit mature in your listening. That's not the music people are used to hear on the radio today, but give them some time, ha ha :) . House music is what keeps these old school genres alive and fresh and I feel very fortunate to be able to appreciate it, and a bit sorry for the others.
The fact that none of his tracks are analyzed through Rekordbox and just put on a USB stick is amazing. Goes to show you that he has all his music & playlists in order and knows how to mix, even without sync. He mixes everything from his mind, body and soul. This is the way it's done. A true pioneer to the game, everyone should learn from this man. He a god in the house industry. Awesome set Louie.!

I use to see him in the clubs doing the same with vinyl in milk crates.....back in the day...before any of that technology...I dont think there were even set lists...just pulled a record he wanted to play next..
I'd really like to know why he doesn't analyse in rekordbox, surely he uses some looping. do you have a link to an interview?
He most likely sets his cues in Rekordbox the exports his files to his usb stick.

Mr. Vega is a musical genius on the one's and two's. His energy is absolutely incredible!
He absorbs so much energy and passion into his mixes, he is giving you all he got and at the same time enjoying what he is doing. I love it
Puerto Ricans are such great artist and talented in all aspects of music, dance etc, I grew up with them and they taught me alot as far as street smarts, mad love all day. And this one video is amazing. Go Vega all day!!!

This is by far the BEST performance that Louie Vega has composed - I have attended about 6 or so Louie Vega led venues and his performance was good, BUT this was incredible, he truly exhibited what proceeds his reputation, too bad that I was unable to attend this "NYC Boiler Room Venue" - WOW

Oh come on people, try and explain things in a way that shows your comments as opinions and not fact, people give the same level of regards and praise to the legendary and iconic frankie knuckles boiler room sets. I grew up as a late teen early 20s in the 90s listening to both. They both are amazing to me, but again these statements are my personal opinion.
