Thank you for this excellent video Alex. Once again you show your cinematic skill and care. I absolutely love your artistic choices here brother for the Immari.
Thank you friend and friends. I wish you all the luck with the campaign!
Orange From Dwarves Space
Orange Space!
Came here for this 😂
Don't Dead Open Inside
Marvellous vid as ever Alex, really appreciate that dry sense of humour 😊
Thanks Stretch 💜
I've also been painting space dwarves (the GW ones) in orange, so this was enlightening as I've been struggling with he colour.
Love the video mate!
Thank you humbly for the donation! I’m glad to hear the techniques where to some use to you 👍
It is always so inspiring to watch how you indulge in colours in your videos. Your way of approaching what in other people's eyes might be a completely simple painting job and watching how such a figure is created in your hands gives me so many ideas that I don't even know where to start, thank you so much for that!
Well thank you for letting me know, I truly appreciate it.
This is so well done! Craftmanship at its finest. Great process and result on mr.cube. Lovely mini, and great paintjob. All while being honest, genuine and with a pleasent level of humour and nerdyness! Keep it up!
Thank you D! I appreciate it.
Where besides 52 Miniatures would I ever hear a creator say, "You can be the Anubis of my progress" ? (And there's plenty more of that from Alex and co, on Patreon for those who don't already know). Okay, I digress.
Well, I've never been a fan of orange as a color (or the a fruit) for reasons I won't go into, but you make orange special.. I remember when Alex painted Miniac's "The Dutchess" with that amazing orange hair and I had to rethink my aversion to orange. You did it again with this video. Well done!
Good vid, thanks. I always love listening to your rambles, its just fun and relaxing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks 👍
A) Those minis are cool AF. B) That paint scheme... both for Mr. Cube and the contrast scheme for his cohorts... is really nice. The paramilitary look plays well with the space dwarves as you can see them as no nonsense kinda space laborers, moving from planet to planet to extract gold, gems, and other valuable resources. They almost look like a guild or corporation focused more on the task at hand rather then looking fancy with a ton of colors. Like short, hairy locusts stripping a planet clean of it's resources and then sitting down to a nice game of dice and a cold, vacuum sealed bag of oxygenated ale when the job is done.
I appreciate the story Tim, thank you
Ah great timing as my backed Ravaged Star minis arrived last week and can't wait to paint some over the christmas season + I was thinking of using some more orange as it's worked out brilliantly on my Age of Sigmar army. So thanks for another fun video with plenty of stuff to try out Alex ^^
Great to hear you got your minis A, I hope they bring fun and excitement :)
Game looks fun, nice to see some fast and dirty models with the same idea as well
Beautiful work as always! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks great! I did my Votann in a very similar scheme sans airbrushing. I do use oil washes now thanks to you....cant live without them actually! Thanks Alex!
Thanks man, great to hear 💜
There is something about orange that just works, especially if you combine it with cyan/turqoiuse!
Thanks for the video
Thanks W!
Alex! I can’t tell you how nice it is to see a new video from you on my lunch break pop up. Thank you for being you and doing what you do. I’m proud to support you on Patreon!
Thank you Magnus and thank you as always for the support 💜
Loving the color combinations ❤😊❤
And there is yet another banger, great video
Appreciate it!
Sloppy space dwarves, that's what we need on a wet midweek evening!
We're all dwarfed by spacemarines of course, but these do look a nicely different range with real visual character that stands out.
Mr Cube is an instant icon, some things just make sense, like froth on your beard !
Of course when it comes to these beer swilling anklebiters, what can you say but Gorkog all the way
This was great, thanks for sharing your exploration!
Glad you enjoyed it Janx
ah the good old battlefield orange-blue trick.
Your vids on "step-by-step free color play and paint" are so great and very inspiring. Encouraging to just try out and paint, and afterwards thinking about what went wrong or be happy about what worked out fine. A big THANK YOU for that ... please don't change, whatever the algorythm says ❤
Thank you K, I appreciate it
This was fantastic but at my age 62 and not the best of health love you videos keep up the brilliant work and to all the other painters you make my day thanks again 👍👍👍👍👏🤟🤟
I’m sorry to hear about your health but glad you enjoy the videos B
I have some Rohrer and Klinger Sketchinks for drawing, hadn't thought of using them in minipainting! They are fantastically vibrant, will have to find a project and experiment...
Really cool color scheme! These are definitely some cool minis.
Thanks Bill 🙏
A shout out to my ol'pal orange
Wonderful.
As always.
Thank you Lee 🙏
I really like the green-orange combo.
Awesome video as always. I really liked that you kept adding bits to the script where you compared the dwarf way of life to what you were doing at the time XD. Also, I love that shade of orange that you got with the ink!
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you for openly sharing your process. I like seeing ideas that might not yet be perfect. It really makes me want to experiment myself.
Thanks Felix
I love the color palette you use, it's always a blast to watch your videos, thank you for the video.
Thank you Sanjay
As usual, informative, nicely presented and a pleasure to listen to your Talking shop with yourself and the almost, yes only almost, schizoid mono-dialogues. ✌️😎👍 Best wishes from Germany...
Cool, thanks
Thanks for the great video and THE ONLY WAY TO PAINT ORANGE!! ☺
Thank you for watching!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Thanks for sharing your journey 🙏
Thank you Mark!
Alex! Great to see you.. in video form lol hope all is well my namesake friend!
Great to see you too!’👋
Cool as always 👍
Thank you!
Love some orange dwarves and some more Ravaged Star content!
Interesting video! My chaos space marines are orange, but I used a dark green shadow color instead of purple and magenta. I also mixed yellow in my orange to do the brightest highlights. But the technique is the same. I just used Liquitex transparent ink that is more transparent than the one you used.
I used turquoise as my secondary color, like the one you used for the OSL. But I like the green used for the non-mr-cube minis...maybe I'll add some green.
Nice 👍 yeah the green is cool. Gives a bit of a paramilitary vibe.
Stunning paintjob on some stunning minis.
Thank you 🙏
Love the orange. I've been playing with orange undercoats because they desaturate everything into interesting browns. Team Orange!
Team Orange 🙌
Hello again Alex. I must say that I really enjoy how your crappy paint jobs look better than most people's good paint jobs 😁 All of those turned out very nice, especially Mr Cube. ✨
Hah, thanks as always 🙏
Great to see a painting video and not just paint adjacent 🎉
I’ve tried putting minis adjacent to paint hoping it would rub off over time but I’ve yet to get it to work

interesting take on orange there man
Thanks Mr P!
Nice video, great work! :D
Thanks a lot!
Orange does seem the natural choice for space dwarves, just finished painting a brokr strike team for deadzone with bright orange armour. I feel it makes them look like they are wearing high viz vests.
Awesomeness throughout the whole video, hopefully you get to do a collaboration with goobertown that would be as brilliant as yours with Dave, ninjon and miniac was.
Maybe one day!
These look great Alex! Im off to check out the RS site right now
Thanks WK! I’m glad you like them
Wave, just pledged.
250k so far
Orange is a underused color. Looks great next to that Cobalt Teal.
Yeah, more yellow and orange! ✌️
I am glad they made some Dwarves for their setting. makes a good alternative to the new Squats I bet.
Yeah! More Space dwarves is always good :)
Orange is the new dwarf
Dwarf is the new Space!
I specially love the female miniature, less busy than Mr Cube and Hammery McHammersonn. There is a trend lately of overdesigning miniatures and it's a pain to paint every single detail. I love how you reduced all that trim to "yeah, let's paint it all orange and contrast the heck out of it to make it readable"
Thanks Adrian 🙏

Wish I could, I would :) :(
Are you saying, “spaced wharf”?
Great video as always.
The minis do look amazing but almost too detailed? So many little bits and edges...
If you like that kind of stuff, these figures are perfect.
@ironbomb6753 I guess I should have clarified that they might be too detailed for me (I feel the same about a lot of GW minis, especially 40k). Not a deal breaker, more just a concern when it comes to painting them.
I think they are fun to paint, especially fast with contrast style paints. But I also adore very simple minis. It’s great to jump back and forth between different styles.

what do you mean Michael?
DON'T DEAD

great paint job, but horribly busy overworked AI looking minis.
Nice video, but I just don't get the appeal of Ragaged Star - GW rip-offs, horrible PVC and far too much detail, meaning you can pretty much only 'paint' them using washes and drybrushing.
Different strokes for different folks. That’s why I make the videos about painting. You can paint any mini with the techniques I use in my videos.
Their dwarves were shown prior to the leagues of votann announcement, and the pvc models from the first campaign are amazing!
