A creature kills a shepherd and his flock of sheep. Val and Earl discover the scene and the severed head of the man, and believe that a serial killer is on the loose. Two construction workers ignore Val and Earl's warning and are killed by the same creature, causing a rock slide.

What’s the Tremors movie about?
Valentine (Kevin Bacon from Footloose) "Val" and Earl (Fred Ward from Escape from Alcatraz) live in Perfection, an isolated town in Nevada. Tired of their work, they leave for Bixby, the nearest town. On the road, they discover the body of an inhabitant and other tragic events follow. Val and Earl try to find help after having warned the inhabitants and then leave for Bixby to seek help. On their way, a tentacle of the worm emerges from the ground, the monster chases them and eventually crashes into an aqueduct. Then they meet Rhonda (Finn Carter), a seismology student, who tells them that there are three other worms in the area. After they all return to the city, the worms attack again, forcing everyone to take refuge on the rooftops. Meanwhile, one of the creatures is accidentally killed. The two remaining worms begin to attack the building's foundations. Earl, Rhonda and Miguel (Tony Genaro) distract the monsters while Val helps the survivors escape. The worms manage to trap them, and Earl comes up with an idea to lure them and make them swallow Burt's (Michael Gross) homemade bombs. One worm is killed, then Val lures the last one to the edge of a cliff, then detonates the remaining bomb, scaring the worm, which charges towards the cliff.
