      would not recommend them. They are a complete pain.

    • @haphazard1342
      @haphazard1342 2 года назад +1

      I disagree. QuickJacks are significantly more convenient than a floor jack and jack stands. Also raises higher than most jack stands (still not super high, but every inch counts).
      Of course they're not as nice and convenient as a full vehicle lift. They're not as nice as a half-measure like MaxJax (which might also be a good choice for this workshop, if the floor is suitable).

    • @HDRAus
      @HDRAus 2 года назад

      @@haphazard1342 agreed. Have the ability to move them around and are significantly more practical if you cannot fit a hoist. Can also lock them in the 🆙 position.

    • @triggerthesound767
      @triggerthesound767 2 года назад

      @@haphazard1342 If they work for you then good. I found they take more time than using one floor hack and jack stands. Quickjack takes endless adjusting, getting down on your knees, lifting a bit, adjust again. Then if you want to use jackstands they are impossible because quickjack does not lift straight up or drop straight down. If you trust the locking bars then this isn’t an issue. Moving them around is another huge problem, they are very cumbersome and take up a huge amount of space.

    • @haphazard1342
      @haphazard1342 2 года назад +1

      @@triggerthesound767 And that's a totally fair critique. In my case the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. I prefer the fiddling with QuickJacks for vehicle alignment to the multi-phase lifting required to get to maximum height on traditional jack stands. I can't reach a center jack point for the front or rear once the other end is in the air, and tilting the car side to side while partially on jack stands is very unpleasant and sketchy. I'd rather have a two post, of course, but alas ceiling heights prohibit that and eliminate much of the potential benefit.

    Congrats Alexi, every car person's dream! Currently in a shoe box garage, with enough room to work on one side of the car a time. Not complaining at all though!

    know the feeling my friend, growing up always had to wait for bro and dad to finish with the garage so alot of years learning in the diirt. round 30 finally found a junky house but had a excellent 3 door garage space. made it my own and that first day was amazing knowing i could work freely without hassle or noise complaints to others. congrats alex !

    I counted 88 team manager patreons at $AUD34 per month that’s nearly $AUD3000 and you’ve got nearly 500 patreons total. Nice work Alexi.
    Glad you have a place to work now. Though I did enjoy the outdoor maintenance videos you were doing.

    My garage is less than 2 of my wingspans from wall to wall and the cars barely fit in that little space. Gets uncomfortable sometimes, but it works at least. Seeing good cars running out of there is always a joy ngl.
