We bought a used 61 plate diesel 1.6 in 2016 with approx 60,000 miles on the clock and still own it with 130,000 and never had a single issue with it until a few weeks ago when the rear drivers side window stopped working ( which stops the roof working).I replaced the cambelt about 3 years ago at its annual service just to be on the safe side and thats the only money spent. If anyone has any ideas on why the window wont work id appreciate any advice. Overall its been a great car to own.
Check the wiring that runs in-between the drivers door and the body of the car. It's a common spot for these wires to break. If this is on the passengers side check the wiring in the passenger door.
Conquer Driving They helped the most. I have forwarded your videos to my mates who are taking their practical too. Thank you so much for making great videos
0:50 maybe using oil as a fuel helps improve the mpg numbers :P I really like this format, a full car review covering pretty much all you need to know, in less than 6 minutes! Impressive! It's often car reviews spend ages go on and on dragging everything out into a 15min boring video, it's nice to be snappy.
Thank you so much. I am still thinking about the spiral roundabout video. It's going to take me a while though as it's going to be a hard one to animate.
I own a 2010 A3, 3dr, not a convertible tho. I do agree Audi are so stingy with their basic equipment.. Mine's an S-Line and whilst it does have leather seats, no heated seats, no folding mirrors, no cruise control, no parking sensors, no auto lights or auto wipers (!!). I had a 2008 VW polo with auto wipers lol.. So many A3's don't have auto lights&wipers which seems such a shame.. Mine's a 2.0 CR140 diesel. Very good economy for the age of the car, even has stop start which makes tax only £30/yr. Seems more economical, more refined faster and more reliable than a 1.6tdi i know (injector issues on 1.6tdi).
hi Richard, I failed my test last week. I had 1 dangerous fault and 4 minors. The dangerous fault was on a spiral roundabout controlled by traffic lights, I was turning right third exit, but as I was coming off there was a motorbike on my left so the examiner had to interfere and asked me to stay in my lane and watch out for the bike. The man on the bike shouted at me and I knew I failed my test 😢😢😔😔
🙁 Sounds like the bike was passing you on the left? That's why you should avoid passing on the left side at junctions. Keep trying, if you only failed for 1 reason you must be close.
@@ConquerDriving every time I go to these spiral roundabouts I make at least one serious fault either by being confused by the lights or taking the wrong lane after I enter the roundabout. 0
@@na-up6gs try not to let it get to you, stay calm and follow the road markings. If you go the wrong way it's not the end of the world. It helps if you analyse the spiral roundabouts you need to use on Google earth. They way you can remember where to go which make life a lot easier.
I have no clue about what? The car, how to review a car or both? Also, if you know a lot about the car or how to review a car why are you watching my review?
Well articulated video - short, crisp, to the point.. well done mate!

Quite good review , well done :)
Good basic review and nicely presented.
Thank you.
I liked this. Would like to see more car reviews if you get the opportunity.
Thank you, I would like to but this was one of my least popular videos so I'm thinking about whether I should do more or not.

Thanks Michael! I think the fuel economy improvement really was negligible.
Amazing video, you know so much about the car
Great video
Thanks for sharing it
At 1:04, is it first generation? But I found it’s second generation. I am not sure now, could you help😢
The car in this video is the second generation A3.
@@ConquerDriving thanks for your reply, thanks you
How’s the rear passenger space ?
Sorry, I can't remember now.
Yes yes 10k. Congratulations my friend. Now our target is 20k 😄😄😄😀

You can see that the roof already did a emergency closure. You can see the roof is missing a plastic lid

This car was a 1.8 TFSI sport.

Not from memory.
What’s the 2008 2.0tdi sline like
More economical and a bit more noisy at low speeds.
@@ConquerDriving what’s a good price on a 2008 2.0 tdi with 85000 miles on it do you think.
anything to know bad about 1.6tdi???
The DPF can be a pain. I had the 1.6 Tdi for 70,000 miles and it was reliable.
