The reason for Zepto to do well in tier 2 cities is because existing players don’t concentrate on the quality of both perishables(veg & fruits)and(grocery rice, dal, urad gota) products and the quality and choice in neighbourhood Kirana store is not good and Gen Z has no time to waste in malls and supermarkets
True their quality of fruits is better than blinkit and big basket plus they refund without any question if something rotten/ semi raw gotten by mistake
@@Natureszilla i tried to buy multiple times. For fruits i never got fresh product. I would either get raw or rotten or extra ripe products. And even for refunds they do process it but they take significant time. which is not good.

This was an excellent interview with Aadit. He has been vocal on the issue and key differentiators at Zepto and I see huge potential in just the execution side. The details he remembers and speaks about in such depth is outstanding.
He is very good Entrepreneurs. Building a great company, Building a great workplace, Building a great ROI needs a product market fit, customer value, and economics. He cracked the code. I liked the Interview.
In india raising money is celebrated by media so much, founders become celebrity. This is not correct. 99% of such startups who are cash burn businesses ultimately close down when VC funding dries up. Celebrate founders who bootstrap and make profits on annual basis, even if they raise investor money, they turn it into profits - thats what we should celebrate and learn / get inspired from.
These guys have been raising responsibly. And VCs don't simply infuse money unless it seems practical. Especially if there have been too many rounds in the recent past. They are not fools.
Just one layman question, if the business is so good then why this company raised another rounds of funding this year (& will continue to do so) ? When they will see real profit ?
It's a good business that can raise more money this easily. You try building something and approaching investors, you'll get to know how difficult it is to get such investors on board.
@@johnvonleibniz Because they're still offering discounts and exploting cheap labour. Quick commerce hasn't worked anywhere in the world, even in developed countries. The only way it can work is by exploiting delivery guys for cheap labour (which is highly unethical af) and offering discounts (which will have to eventually end at some point). Basically, the exploit delivery guys by making them work on cheap labour, pressurise them way too too much which results in them breaking traffic rules and even getting into accidents. Yeah, fickle model. Off roll staff never built stable businesses. Once the gig workers create a union, it will be Regulation City for all players. Next day delivery with high average basket is the only thing that will end up working.
From $37K to $65K that's the minimum range of profit return every month I think it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family. ❤️>>

i think its about value zepto provides fresh things just like local kiryanas does but with home delievery and trust and also sometimes cheaper than local kiryanas so as long as they keep providing they are going to thrive and also stumbling upon a comment here about private label thats actually great idea i mean you have the means of distribution and also the data of winning products so why not launch pl based on that and eat market share of other ecfmg brands
He truly is a great founder. He is focusing more on what to build next and is excited by it. Loved the interview.
