*I was able to use the stop to cut my pieces all the same **MyBest.Tools** Only let the blade come to a complete stop before lifting it back up otherwise it might 'catch' the work and inadvertently move the stop. Used a second clamp for holding.*
Great build Katie. Wish I'd seen your build before knocking my own together.
Thanks so much!!!
I have watched several videos for a miter saw table and I think this is the one I like the most Great job and thanks for the awesome video!! Go left handers lol!! : )
Lol! Lefties unite! Thanks so much for your kind words. This bench has been an awesome piece in my shop!
Nice. Pocket screws are Awsome for shop furniture. Good job.
I've used them on quite a bit of inside furniture projects as well. All are holding up nicely after many years of use:)
Thank you so much for your awesome diy video! This is the best video of miter saw table with storage
I’ve been watching tons of videos for all the different elements to put into my next station but I think this design/video takes the cake! Thank you!! 😁
Thank you So much for sharing and inspiring me to do my First shop project. Wish I could share a picture. I couldn't have done it without your guidance. Thank You
So happy to hear this Len! Thank you!
I have at last built this bench and pleased with result. Your mitre saw is obviously a lot wider than mine as I had to recut the 2 tops as they were about 4 inchs from my saw. Perhaps that can be added to tutorial the same as the hight of finished level.
Beautiful job
Great video. Simple, yet a great design.
watching this gave me an idea about using two pre-fab bookcases that I have lying around with a shelf in between for the mitre saw, that would save me a fair bit of cash.
That's a nice set up. It's possible that in the near future I'll be setting up a shop for my hobby and something like that would make things a little easier for me.
I cant wait to see what kind of workbench, or compact table saw outfeed she makes. Nice job.
Dan Hartman thank you! Yes, I’ve got more plans in the works to build mobile work benches and an outfeed table:)
great work Katie! Looks great in the shop and super functional!
Melrose Design Company จ
This looks so great! I can’t wait to get into a home that has space for a workshop
great idea putting it on the wheels so it can be moved easily. I was going to build a stationary one, seeing this I am going to copy your design. Great video also, nicely done!
Thank you! I try to make just about everything in my shop mobile to allow some flexibility if I were to change up the layout, etc.
Great job! Everything looks really nice. You have plenty of room to put a lot of stuff in those drawers. You can never have to much storage space! Take care and be safe!
Becky's Texas Wood Shop - thank you, Becky! Yes, having so much storage space is equally amazing and overwhelming. I want to organize things just right:)
Great job Katie and thank you for the plans I think I’m going to tackle this and make myself one it’s just perfect 👌🏼 always enjoy you’re channel 😘
Kim Bryan - thank you, Kim! I would love to see it when you’re done! I’m sure you’ll do an amazing job!
my saw bench is an ikea rolling cart, this is much better. and the audio is fine, btw. Thx! eric.
GardenFork - thanks for letting me know, Eric! And sometimes you’ve got to use what you have! :)
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much : )
David Bennett great to hear! Thanks for watching!
excellent tutorial . I have the plans and I am looking forward to building it.
Thanks for the video. Made a 6 ft version. Great table
Eric Fox do you have any photos because I was thinking about doing the same thing
you are sharp kid great job
Excellent job, really useful info. Thanks for sharing!!!
Very well presented video 👍👍👍
Great bench! The only thing that I think I’m going to do is figure out how to put the saw on a 180 rotation to hide it and create a flat surface
Good idea and well done!
Great video! How did you make the guide rail for your circular saw? Can you make a video how to make it?
Nice work
Very good job i m fan
it was perfect. dimensions are given in inches. If it were given in millimeters, this would be easier for me to do. I congratulate you anyway.
Very nice. Thanks!
beau travail ! good job
Ficou perfeita!!
I have the same Ridgid sliding miter saw, it is extremely deep. Looks like you have to move your cart away from the wall for every use. Will you never use the full 70 degree miter cut since your base extension wings can't open?
thecrus8r I actually do have it away from the wall now for normal use. I rarely cut beyond 45 degrees, but should the need arise, I can always move it off of the bench in order to do so.
First of all. GO CARDS!!!!! Second where did you get that bad ass little drawer jig thing?
AZ Wildman it’s from Rockler! It’s call a Universal Drawer Slide Jig. Its been a lifesaver with drawers👍🏻
very good
Hi Katie, just found this video, as I am going to make some sort of mobile miter station soon. Do you normally use that Kreg rip guide, as opposed to one long rip guide?
David Letz I use the rip-cut on the longer cuts that are less than 24”, as this is as wide as the rip-cut will go. For wider cuts that are 4’ or less, I use the accu-cut to cut pieces down to a manageable size to use on my table saw.
We never see a king size bed ! Would it be because the gas cylinders won't hold it. We so want to build a king size. We to have limited space and it would be perfect in our bedroom.
I'm trying to figure out which plywood to get. I know you used birch veneer but all I can find is "plywood sheathing" , "BCX Sanded Plywood" etc. I'm kind of lost on what other kind of plywood I could use. Any tips or suggestions?
Melania Krystle - you should be able to find veneer plywood at any of the big home improvement stores. The other option is a hardwood store, but oftentimes their veneer plywood is grade A, which means it’s double the price.
@@addicted2diy thank you! When building a project like this what do you think is the cheapest plywood you could use but still have the strength to hold the weight of your tools?
I would say the 3/4" sanded plywood would be a good bet. It's about $15 cheaper per sheet.
bonjour , belle réalisation pour info car j'ai le projet de faire le même style , quel est l'épaisseur de votre bois , merci et bravo
Nice.
Hi! What screws do you recommend for using with the drawer slides? I use some that are hard to work with as the head of the screws get caught in the grooves where they go in on the slides
Juan Gutierrez I just use the screws that are included with the drawer slides.
👍+10 отличная работа.
Great video and even greater miter station...!
P.S. the sound was very low it was hard to hear you.
Nikos Woodworking DIY Thank you! Would you mind letting me know if it was the entire video or just certain parts where the sound was too low?
Katie Cleveland it was the entire video. I had set my laptop's volume to 100% and I was just hearing you.
Okay, thank you for letting me know!
👍 👍 👍
It doesn’t look like you can do 45 degree cuts to either side
mobile as in moving it around garage or driveway imo you can't beat the wheeled ones from box stores with extendable arms they are light and portable
and here i thought a builder of your caliber would be using titebond glue
Woodprix Blueprints has some very useful blueprints with all the details you need.
She can pull out my draws any day ! x
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Stodoys.
