  • Out of quantum fluctuations we grew into what we call consciousness.
Fragile, improbable, easily confused, emotionally challenged, traumatized more often than not.
In art and science we expanded ourselves into entities of greater capacity than what the individual can grasp.
Always with the possibility that we will leave nothing but runes behind, that nobody will ever decipher.
    But on we dream...
    --------------------
After having set up a basic reaction-diffusion system with blur and sharpen filters, I wanted to implement the Gray-Scott Reaction-Diffusion for real in a HLSL shader.
To my surprise, I achieved it in my first try, working from the raw formula, using Tooll3's internal feedback options for the iterations.
I instantly wanted to be able to control the parameters with more than static values, so I implemented 3 texture inputs for Radius, Feed- and Kill rates that you can see in action here.
They are all fed by other live inputs of generative structures and patterns.
I still have to find out if and how I can do the iterations inside the HLSL file itself...
The soundtrack was once again created in #Bitwig Studio with #Synthmaster3's new grain oscillator for the pad and #UnfilteredAudio's #Battalion for the evolving beat. Those two are really magnificent works of art!

That was mysterious, a little scary, and also oddly spiritual. I really liked it!

👍Yeah, that's how life is supposed to be, if you let your curiosity take the lead... ;-)
