This was one of my favourite prompts. I used loads of layers to add texture instead of colour. It was fun. I love that we go a day early in Australia so we get to have a go & then have a look at how everyone else interprets it. I love your format and how you offer tips. They’ve all been really useful. I especially love this page today - thank you!
Love the improv with the Distress Oxide ink and paint brush. I use them with my gelli plate and really like a lot of the results. Using what you already have can produce unique results. 🧡💚🤎
This is my first prompt challenge and I am loving it. I have struggled a time or two but have persevered. I have intentionally Not watched your daily posts until after I have created my own page. I want to trust my own vision and not be influenced by what others are doing. It has been a game changer for me. Thank you for doing this challenge!
Ooo this looks good!! I like calming colours, they look classy too I think. Added to watch later because I can’t watch at the moment, although I want to. Then I need to stay in bed after I watch and not go into my craft rooms 😂 instead of sleeping 💜🤍💚
Hi Meg I am really enjoying JJJ24! I have to say I think my neutrals page is my absolute favourite. I found some rice paper squares in my stash and did a block design on my page. The different texture etc of the rice paper looks so cool! I had thought of using gold splashes or outlining the shapes but decided the truly neutral page looked so serene I left it as it is.
I have been doing Junk Journal January for the first time. I'm a bit behind because of a crisis I had to deal with. I'm happy to watch other people's ideas, they can be useful. But I don't copy them. Daily Log ideas opened things up. I decided to use Piet Mondrian as inspiration for my abstract picture, so it was bright primary colours!
Love what you produced. Thanks for sharing the process, especially when you said you sometimes stare at the page for a while. The quote looks really good.
I like your style! Your videos provide creative inspiration. It is my first time participating in JJJ. I am having fun with prompts. My neutral page was simple, but throwback was elaborate! ❤️
Very beautiful. You have an amazing eye for detail. Just curious if you posted videos of you previous page ie moments. I’m hopeless at finding things. Everyday I struggle just to find the JJJ 24 videos 😂
Thank you! Here are the two playlists to follow if you want to bookmark them! I have just discovered your channel and have a lot of previous videos to check out, lucky me! Have you done a calligraphy course, or are you self taught for the lettering you do? Lovely style. Can you tell me what the penis that you use please? Thx.
@@megjournals Clever of you, you make it look like you’ve been doing it a long time. Thanks for the pen name. I’m in New Zealand, I’ll see what I can find here 😀

I too watch your interpretations, after I have finished. I think the bold, black perfectly compliments the neutrals, also being a neutral. Well done👏🙂
This is my favorite page so far. I think I could do an entire journal in neutrals.

Thanks for watching!!
Which pen do you use for the quote?
Tombow Fudenosuke! :)
Okay, ich dachte du meinst die Schweiz. Jetzt hab ich es verstanden.
Du könntest die Schweiz als Dein "focal point" benutzen, warum nicht. It's thinking outside the box, or what seems obvious.😊🇨🇭
I need to know: what is the difference between an art journal and a junk journal

Yay welcome! No, learning as I go! It's a Tombow Fudenosuke - the soft tip :)

I've got to say a neutral color scheme is my least favorite so this prompt is really stretching my creativity.
Maybe you could do mostly neutral with a pop of colour?
