I love the idea of using a card for the prompt (and it is a great way to transform those scrapbook pages I often don’t know how to use!). I am having a lot of those “I didn’t know you could do that moments” 😂. As if there are special rules I am unaware of !
I love the journal card you’ve created! Perhaps you could simple “grunge” up the white envelope with a Distress ink like Tea Dye or Antique Linen, using a light touch with a foam applicator and darkening the edges a bit?
Hand stitching is lovely in our journals. I added some hand stitched scrolls to mine that I have been wanting to use - it makes me so happy. I think I’d just coffee dye the envelope because the layers are thick. A sponge application or paintbrush would work thinly enough I think. But you could always use pastels or coloured pencils too.
I’m so excited to use this prompt. I haven’t used it a lot in my journals but have wanted too. I’m thinking this prompt will encourage more of the stitching technique.
Love the stitching on the journal card. For the white envelope, you could collage on it. Or simply stain it with make it brown with an ink pad. Or stamp images on it and add a quote.
I've used a sepia colored ink with an ink blender on stark white pages within my journals. I just use a light hand in the middle and make the edges a bit darker. Your journaling card is beautiful.❤❤❤
Suppose you just took a damp tea bag and rubbed it over the back of the envelope to tone down the white a bit? It would have little effect on the other side of it I’d think.
I love the journal card in this prompt! If you don’t coffee dye the white envelope or use distress inks, I love the brown Kraft paper you used on the back of the journal card. Maybe cover the whiteness of the envelope with brown paper or sewing pattern paper? Am sure you will come up with the perfect plan! Love your aesthetic!!! ❤❤❤
You could try Temu or Taperology for something similar. They have beautiful scrapbooking papers for a very reasonable price. I am in Queensland but presume it is available worldwide. Lovely stitches page also. Just love your elements
Put a piece of plastic inside the envelope to give you a base and then coffee dye the white part. It shouldn’t bleed through if you do this or even heavy cardboard would work.
I found the sticker book but unfortunately it doesn't look like they sell them anymore. It was from a New Zealand store called the white rabbit store. I haven't found any other ones that are that size.
I ❤ your work
Really pretty but not too sugary! Very fine work!👏🏼👏🏻👏🏻
Love it! well done. 😃👍
Maybe cover the envelope with one of the "washi"-Sticker pages like you put on the card? ....

Love the stitching! For the white envelope maybe you could use a stencil and add some ink to distress it.

Yay!Have fun!
This was my first time doing any stitching in my journals. I love how it turned out. I will probably include it more in my journals now❤
I have never done any stitching, but I love the look of your card and examples, it adds such great texture and interest 🥰
Love your scrappy stitched tag. The prompts has been great

I’d love to see how you would coffee dye the envelope. I didn’t know you could coffee dye a white page once it’s actually in a journal xx
Yes you can use a coffee mixture with a paintbrush if you’re careful! ☺️

Ooooh! My mind just went PING when you said sewing paper - coffee dyed tissue paper!! I think that would work and the texture would be yummy 🥰
Yes!!!❤❤❤

Absolutely gorgeous. I am inspired 👏👏
Thank you!!
I searched for and found washi pads on Temu and Amazon. Love your stitched card. Thanks for the prompts, I’m keeping up so far😁
Ah yay!!!
Thank you! I ordered from Temu. First order,so fingers crossed they look as good as the picture.
I would had some light swatches of water color onto the envelope 😊Oops « add » 😊
Great idea!!
Pretty, you could use distress inks on the envelope
So many possibilities!!
Great card. The envelope needs some grunge.. maybe use a stencil and ink

I did a search on Amazon for washi sticker paper sheets and some came up, don't know if they will be the same but looked cool.
Ah thank you!!!
You use a book with Big fruit stickers. What is it called 😊
I found the sticker book but unfortunately it doesn't look like they sell them anymore. It was from a New Zealand store called the white rabbit store. I haven't found any other ones that are that size.
You could put some dark tea in a spray bottle & mist that white envelope ❤
Oh that sounds good!!
❤❤
What about stenciling the envelope with distress ink?
Love that idea 😍
Try some spray ink on the envelope, as a suggestion?
Ooh that’s a good idea! I haven’t played with spray inks in sooo long
