I just think that it is hard to compare Switzerland with the UK because of the size of the country. I mean in terms of insecurity and factors like that. It has always been easier to control a smaller population than a big one. Although it is not always the case. And Switzerland has been neutral for a long time and they don't involve in wars as the UK for example. I also think that rich people are seeing that the UK is getting too expensive for what it really is! I'm just giving my opinion. Even if we compare Germany to Switzerland; Germany will lose in many ways too!
I recently heard someone describe the process of "McDonaldization" of the world, especially appealing touristy old towns. It's easier than ever to live as an expatriate since the global culture is more similar than ever.
