What beautiful singing!
Still listening 6 years in. This may be my favorite version of this song.
Thank You RJ. Sometimes people don't realize that their actions have a ripple effect. Since I found this I use it as my Fri getting home from work song as well as if I am in a foul mood and need cheering up. Excellent job, keep up the good work. You have undoubtable touched many.
BILLY HILL Thanks Billy, I really appreciate it!
Been following RJ on as a guitarist on You Tube for quite some time, kind of shits me that he can sing as good as he does as well...awesome!
You got it, I love Blind Connie Williams. Thanks so much
fantastic, thank you, wish I could play like you
I love hearing young guys playing that old stuff.
Here is a great verse which is included in some versions of this song:
I'm gonna lay, lay my head
On some lonesome railroad line
Let the midnight train pacify my mind
Yes, i forgot about that version.

This one is from Big Walter Horton. He says two-nineteen instead of midnight train, but it is a very cool rendition. Very sparse and raw.
Wow! These lyrics really sound like the bluest blues!
Thats the Lightnin Hopkins version
I've enjoyed many versions of "Trouble In Mind" and yours is one of the very best I've listened too. I loved your performance.
So good, R.J.! Love your album, particularly when you played 'Down Under' so brilliantly.
I'm Australian and that song is in our blood. You're one of the best blues men today.
Glad I discovered your video while searching for Republic Resonators in Action.
You make Highway 61 very appealing!
I watch this on a regular basis , Love it!
Fantastic.
Thank You RJ. So many of Us would happily pay money to come and see You as the headliner. I just hope You bring The '69
because You really got The Delta Thing going on.
Man, this is fantastic, if only I could put this on my playlists. I can almost hear the scratches of a needle in the grooves of an LP.
Amazing
Thanks RJ. Love your playing! Saw this video in 2018. Bought a new Republic Highway 61 Traveler and played it for about a year. Sold that reso guitar to a guy who gave me almost twice what I paid. Fast-forward to 2022. A few weeks ago I bought a used Republic Highway 61 but this time it's a standard 14-fret model and it came with a National Slimline Humbucker built-in. Sounds incredible. Now I finally have to learn this song.
Straight from the heart🔥🔥🔥
that was beautiful
I always like what RJ is playing. I watch all the Eastwood Guitar demos with RJ.
Amazing...from Brazil
Wow, always blown away by your playing, never heard you sing before, what a voice!
Wish we could still get this model from Republic, I'd kill for this one
Love it, mate! You inspired me to get one of them Highway 61's - and maybe, just maybe I start to sing as well ... haha
Did you get one? Which one?

This is so great RJ! You should do more singing. 👍👍👍

Not sure how I haven’t seen this until now, but this is gold. Amazing RJ. Well done.
Wow, great. Keep on uploading them.
Great singing and playing.....well done
Gotta say, your acoustic blues stuff is my favorite thing you do! You've got the touch, the voice, and definitely the soul to be authentic! Keep on playin' Brutha, this video just made me smile.
Great guitar and vocals. I am going to have to learn your song.
great playing great vocals
YUP! YES SIR. I'LL HAVE SOME MORE PLEASE, SIR.
Great version --- I could listen to you play all day long.
I had exactly that mixer/tape deck in the mid 80s in Ithaca, New York. Used it to record my band and many others. Nostalgia!
Really well played, by the way. I enjoy your music.
Pretty awesome rendition, RJ. Would you consider doing an instructional video on what you played? It would be much appreciated.

Well I’m a little late to the party on this one. I have been so inspired by your playing that I have purchased a heavily modified used recording king wood resonator Guitar. Can’t afford an expensive one. I hope I can use your videos and succeed with some good old delta blues. Thank you for your wonderful musicz

Good man
Me too! Gotta love blind street singers! I love the tune itself as it's also been covered by my idols Big Bill Broonzy and Rosetta Tharpe. But I find Blind Connie's version "bluesiest" and yours is too. I posted my take on it, too, it's the latest video on my channel.
Love it
NIce work!!!!!!
Great man!
I hear a lot of Sonny Landreth's version of key to the highway here....or maybe it's just me trippin...
and your voice sounds a lot like his
in any case very solid playing, great style....all together just amazing....
This is SO BOSS
