This lesson is just what I needed Chris- I can really relate to the original situation and the way the improvement built during each part of the lesson- the next move is to teach this to myself without you being there. It’s so easy to practice-in faults. This is a great format !
Brilliant lesson thanks Chris, one of, if not, the best lesson I’ve had. Coincidentally I had the best ball striking round of recent times today as I’m getting used to swinging the club. Thanks again
Geoff, thanks for allowing us to look in on your lesson. I thought it was great, and the look on your face was evidence that you were liking the improvements.
Timimg - adding energy at the correct time, great explanation and demonstation and something I am practising now. Best handicap was 2, now at 71, playing off 8, and I got lazy and lost too much distance, now I am focusing on being more dynamic and applying energy at the correct time and it does works and it is going through the bag. Chris is very good at getting the message across and always gives you something to work on, one of the best.
I do the same thing with my arms, I fight the club wanting to straighten my arms and that explains why I hit the ball so low on the face! Genius video Chris!!
Iv said it before Il say it again You are the best on RUclips You make it so easy to understand the lesson Great jod Geoff Love the little fist pump of get in
Another incredible video Chris. Amazing how you make an average swing end up looking like a great swing. Love watching and learning from your videos. Cheers.
as a senior golfer , who is in great shape, but struggles to hit driver, I feel this video is speaking to me....what effort level should I put into my driver swing range from 70% to 100%
Hey Dave, this was a backswing cue for Geoff, he was tending to use a lot of arms early on and I wanted him to get his shoulder moving to keep some more width 🙏🏻
Chris, you mentioned that he might have a 9 degree driver or a 10.5 degree driver. Can you explain which of these two drivers is best for an intermediate player? Thank you! Great lesson!👍
Hey, so he had a 10.5 and it was adjusted through the hosel to 13 degrees, which at the end of the session was a little too high, so ideally he would have dropped that back down to 10.5 Afraid it’s almost impossible to say what loft is best, the swing he came in with 12 degrees was ideal, the swing he left with 10.5 was ideal, so it’s not really based on handicap or ability but more on how you individually present the club to the ball
This "potential" you mentioned. There is a positive correlation to distance with more height, weight and grip strength. Negative correlation with age. It's all biological. I do all this and can barely carry 200 yards. It just sucks.
Yes absolutely, everyone’s potential will be different and based on many factors, in my experience most aren’t at their potential so generally a little room for improvements
Hey all, as always any questions just drop them here in the comments and I’ll get back to you
Do you like these ‘live lesson’ type videos?
Also like on course lessons
When you start the downswing with the driver, do you feel right side or left side dominant and do you feel your club release??

@@jeffbadke5932 glad you liked it.
My driving had been really bad and to see the ball coming off the club gave in the intended direction was a joy

Holding the grip tight while my wrists are still flexible is the best tip I’ve seen it’s really worked for me cheers Chris
Thanks Billy really glad it helped

Definitely would explain those low face contacts, just go ahead and follow the steps in this video, not easy but will make a difference for sure
Brilliant Chris…. Of all the excellent videos you have done something about this was really relatable and made huge sense…. Top class
Thanks Patrick really appreciate that 🙏🏻
Excellent lesson, and something in there for all golfers
Thanks so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Recognize so much of myself here. As we approach Spring, I’m already stressed about my driving. Considering quitting- again.
Great video!
Well I really hope you get some more confidence with it, please stick at it as it can turn so quickly in the right direction
Well done Chris 👏 😊
Thanks Roy

Thanks, really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Fist pumping at 11:58 must be a good swing
as a senior golfer , who is in great shape, but struggles to hit driver, I feel this video is speaking to me....what effort level should I put into my driver swing range from 70% to 100%
Hey Gary, on the course I’d probably suggest a little less than 100%, but can be fairly close, say 90-95%
Best video I’ve seen you do relative to what I should do thanks 👍
Thanks Dave appreciate it 🙏🏻
In this video, you said his arm is doing too much of the back swing. Do you have a video that would show how the backswing should be moved?
Chris when you said get your right shoulder moving earlier did you mean in the backswing or the down swing 👍

Hi Chris, great video. Thank you. Any plans to visit Australia? As I know you do have a great following from Down Under. 😬
Afraid not Marcus, would love to, just tough with a young family to get away as much these days, hopefully one day I’ll make it out there

I know you were throwing a lot at Geoff, but any consideration of letting his left arm bend and left heel lift in the backswing?
Yeah that could definitely help and would probably have increased his turn going back
