Beautiful grassland. I enjoyed seeing that ranchers in Chihuahua grow sideoats grama (Bouteloua curtipendula, long stem with seeds zigzagging down one side, 1:40) by and blue grama (Bouteloua gracilis, combs, 7:25), which grow in dry habitats in Minnesota 1000 miles away and I have them in my garden. Many of the plants I don't recognize, but those make me feel a connection with these faraway grasslands. I hope you will have lots of success encouraging ranchers to grow these native plants.
maybe it is important to point out to people who do not know about holistic planned grazing that none of that grass on these ranches was sown - it grew that lush and rich naturally BECAUSE of the managed animal impact. (Cattle spread out and allowed to nibble whatever they want destroys brittle land, while animals bunched on land for a short time and moved on regenerates brittle land - it is a bit more complex than that, but in essence, this is it.)
I have no idea why it has 2 thumbs down, I guess I can´t always satisfy everybody (to paraphrase M. Jagger). I can only comment in the cattle wrestling that we find inappropiate (the Ejido cowboy), but well at least they have made one stride in the right direction
Que gran cambio están logrando, muchas felicidades por todo el esfuerzo que hacen, con eso ustedes ayudan a todos
Wonderful to see real sustainability in action.

Beautifully shot film. I viewed this in a class when we were studying grasslands and I loved it so much I had to watch again.
La elocuencia con la que hablan estos ganaderos es digna de reconocimiento :3

This video should make it obvious that holistic management works.

MI video favorito.
Superb. Thank you.
the film was made by Habitat Seven (now Caravan Lab) and Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with support from RMBO and IMC-Vida Silvestre, A.C..

People prefer to fail conventionally than to succeed unconventionally.
