this art piece among other things was inspired by an all black military rag time band led by james europe reese over 100 years ago
their actual recorded song/sample is called russian rag written by george cobb in 1918 so we thought it fitting to use an earlier film footage visual accompaniment for the aesthetic as well as keep the original title for homage and posterity a humble attempt at complimenting the noire
