    Yes we all need the Glocusent neck light. We have three of them, and I have given them as gifts to friends and grandkids. And we used them last night during big storm when electricity was out from 5pm to 2am. No candles or flashlights, just our trusty Neck Light. Great for stitching in car or retreats or home in the dark. So glad you got yours. Love the Morris stories.

      It's an amazing little light! Loving the convenience of it and that's a great point about it being handy in blackouts! Thank you for watching and happy stitching!

    Your mom is a treasure! I love that Maurice is so excited about cross stitch and your stories about him are so cute! Looking forward to seeing your next video with all the Halloween things! Putting the fabric in the hoop backwards is called stitching in the well. I learned it recently and it’s a game changer. I even do it with Q-Snaps.

      I am definitely lucky in both my mom and my boys! Love that Maurice is excited about stitching and I hope it continues. He does have plans for a SAL, though! 😊 And "Stitching in the well" -- I had no idea there was a term for that. Learning new things all the time! Thank you for watching and your kind comments.

    Enjoy hearing about your adventures with your family. Love seeing your stitching work. Beautiful Quaker Sampler. Excited to hear about Morris's stitching experience. Great video, so much lovely fabric. Oh, and love your antique find. I thought I love those boxes, they weren't there before. Great find. Happy Stitching to you and Morris.😃❤✂️

    What a beautiful design Spring Quaker is, I think the overdyed was a great idea, I would not use the DMC myself. Great find on the box's, thank-you for sharing all your progress and goodies.

    I loved your stitchy stories about Morris. He sure loves his stitching 😊 I also use the hoop like Nicola Park man does. Aside from ease in ending stitches, you are able to keep the front of your project cleaner by holding on to the wrong side of the fabric when folded over towards the hoop. I've been doing that for ages. Stay safe Audrey 💕

      Yes, Maurice (French spelling 🥰) is a hoot and he is loving stitching from patterns and even coming up with his own things. And you're right about holding the wrong side of that fabric keeping it cleaner -- that's a great point! Still learning and wondering what else I don't know 😅 Thanks for watching and happy stitching!

    I love Maurice's exuberance about stitching! I would love if you could do a little video clip with your mom during your visit❤ youre my favorite quirky stitchy friend! Those shaker boxes were the bomb, pricewise. I would have snagged those as well!!

      I am pretty lucky that Maurice (French spelling 🥰) is so excited! He's already asking when he can go on a retreat with me! 😂 Sorry, no video with my mom but she did do a little finishing for me during our visit and I'll get to show those items on my next video! I really appreciate you watching, Rebecca, and all your kind comments! Keeps me going! 😊

      Oh, he wants to be in them too! RUclips has certain guidelines about having children appear in videos so, for now, I'll have to stick with showing his work and telling stories. I'll look into having him join me someday though! Thank you for watching! Happy stitching! 🥰

    Your mom needs to adopt another daughter! My goodness, she is a blessing! So glad Morris is handling all of the adoration well. He is certain to be a star wherever he goes on the stitching world. He will have to have his own segment on your Flosstube to show his FFO'S, WIPS and starts! Your Quaker Spring is really wonderful. It motivates me to get to work on mine. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

    Love your hoop - another reason to put it on that way is that you are holding the hoop and back of the piece rather than the front and the stitches are somewhat protected.

      Yes! Now that I've started using the hoop this way I definitely prefer it. Thanks for watching! Happy stitching!

    I love all your stitching, Audrey I’m really interested in that Red sampler you were doing on last weeks video, but I’m wondering if there’s not a lot of over one and also them spring sampler I think it was with the little houses in the middle… is there over one on that one they don’t ever say that on the pattern when you’re looking at them, I wish they did because I only stitch on 16 count Aida. I have to say I love your stories about Morris. He’s a hoot ! my grandson who is 30 now and a songwriter in the Netherlands loved to stitch when he was seven or eight he even stitched me a gold elephant from memory … it’s one of my most cherished possessions.😅

      Thank you so much! I am trying to get better about pointing out over one if it is part of a pattern but I can tell you that Spring Quaker by Lila's Studio is all over two which means it would be great on Aida! And what wonderful mementos you have from your grandson...I know I have an older relative that still has a little train ornament that I made for him when I was nine and he still has it though I'm sorry I don't even remember making it for him! 😊

    So precious to have a partner in crime (Maurice)! 🥰 Can you tell me roughly what size your new hoop is? I’ve looked at those online (no LNS) but wasn’t sure if they were better than the round ones or not. I also love Jane Austen books & movies! pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth is my favorite but your version of S&S is a close second. 😊 I’m thoroughly enjoying your videos. Slowly making my way through them. Thanks so much for sharing your stitching escapades!

    • @StitchStitchBead
      @StitchStitchBead  9 месяцев назад +1

      Stitching escapades! Love it! Yes, the new rectangular hoop is roughly 7" by 5.25" and I feel that the rectangular shape allows for more stitching area than a circular hoop of the same weight (but maybe it's all in my head). I really like it and think it was worth every penny. Glad to know another Austen fan! Young Colin Firth, what a guy 😂Thank you for watching! Happy stitching!
