    Socks are my favorite mindless project. I love that I can pick some pretty outlandish colors and it’s okay because they’re only socks. 🧦 🤷🏼‍♀️🥰

      Oh I should do that!! I gravitate to neutrals but have been slowly trying to bring more color to my wardrobe. That would be the best way to start 😊

    I am actually following your bag tutorial right now! I am about 1/2 way through and am really liking how it’s turning out! It really is a great project to use up unloved yarn. I am exited to see other bags that you create in the future!

    Just love your videos!! I'm working on my first knitted cardigan. Love the sign behind your head "Can I do without it". My goal this year is to start and finish a sweater. I get bored easily with it and take it apart. Ive yet to find a pattern in happy with. Happy knitting.

      At the very least it sounds like you’re getting a lot of practice in! I think it’s good to be picky about what you make, because then once you figure out what you want you know you’re going to love it for a long time :)

    One thing to think about when knitting socks is that there are many ways to do them. I knit both my socks at the same time using the magic loop method because that’s the only way I’ll finish them. I Hal’s knit toe up on my socks because it lets me be more conscious about my yarn usage. Hope this helps you a bit!

    Very much enjoyed watching this whilst working through miles of Italian bind off! Im usually a DK or lighter knitter but I very much have the urge to work on something chunky after seeing your lovely projects! Xx

      Italian bind off is one of those things I want to learn but just keep putting off! And I’m slowly getting myself to knit with smaller needles, it’s just gonna take time 😉

      @_laurapenrose_ 3 года назад +2

      @@WellLovedKnits honestly once you try it you won’t look back! It’s well worth the extra time and actually quite satisfying! It’s taken me about 2 years to get to a point where I enjoy smaller needles, I’m still quite impatient though 😂😂

    I was so disappointed with the new wave yarn too!! It somehow looks so much better in pictures than IRL. I found a yarn though that looks exactly like the new wave yarn looks like in pictures (if that makes sense 😅), it's Rowan's alpaca softyak dk. I got it in the colorway jaune and it looks like liquid gold!

    • @WellLovedKnits
      @WellLovedKnits  3 года назад

      Yes exactly! That’s really good to know. I like the concept of New Wave yarn, but in reality I feel like it falls a little short

    Ah, that neckline in your mohair top you described as being neither too low or too high would be (way) too high for me ;) The necklines in most patterns are, I prefer lower & wider necklines, that's one of the reasons why I usually make my own / just wing it ;) Just currently knitting a black cotton lace dress while watching this, it's taken quiute a while, but now I'm nearing the completion, on shoulders now :)

    Would you recommend the yarn you used for the fanny-pack to do a large tote ? I definitely want to use a cotton yarn but I'm scared it will be too heavy ?
    Also I'm super excited because I just finished a baby blanket I made for some friends, the yarn was a 2-3 in size I think so it took me the entire month of April to make !

    • @WellLovedKnits
      @WellLovedKnits  3 года назад +1

      I wouldn’t recommend purchasing the yarn I used. While I think it provides a nice structure, overall it’s a headache to work with! So you need a lot of patience. My guess is that cotton would be nice! But honestly this is the only bag I’ve made so it’s just a guess 💘
