Yep, I had lawn darts growing up and when used as they were intended to be used. they were pretty safe. but just as with anything else, there is a certain amount of responsibility that comes with it. But in all fairness any toy, if missed used can be dangerous. This is why they have age suggested ratings on toy packages. We use special orange caps on toy guns to denote they are toys. And they don’t fire anything now just they make noise. If they do fire something it’s usually water at low pressures. Toy guns are very safe now. Toy swords are made from abs or soft plastic so they don’t hurt anyone. The old toy guns only have collector value as failed ideas or novelties. Some people collect stuff like that only for display or as reminders of the past. That little train is worth about $1500 which isn’t bad but only as a collectible not running at all. A old toy gun buckle is worth about $1800 as a display piece. The radiation kit is always taken apart quickly and pieces of iron or aluminum are replaced. It’s to render it safe, the radioactive metal is given to the police hazardous material disposal unit which is then given directly to the federal hazardous material unit which gets rid of it. It takes a lot to even get it into something that blocks radiation. I kinda know as an antique toy shop had to take one of them apart and they had to call the police in and everything. It took a while but everything got settled.
You really should come to the states. We are quite welcoming especially Minnesota as a lot of African immigrants have gone and stayed. Most of them are actually old refugees from the many wars that have rocked the entire African continent. It’s another generation though that have moved away from the traditions although they still cook very similar to back home. Florida does have the African population but it’s a different vibe as they are more from the old south and really are in the gentrification phase as old stuff is being pushed out. You see a lot of rich black folk here but they act so white. It’s just different. We also don’t really experience the shortages back there either. There is plenty of everything here. We basically only ran out of toilet paper during the pandemic but other stuff took its place which the paper returned to shelves about two weeks after lockdown.
