your understanding is wrong, yes they loot your physical wealth and then they live in luxury, but there is no praying in their concept. About the father and love which is true, if a child does not love his father and goes his own way then the father gives priority to the loving son. There are fathers killing sons and sons killing fathers these days for inheritance. Nobody is equal which I agree in the caste system or modern system there is a manager CEO and cleaning job. But the issue for me is that there is no spiritual power in Brahma kumari or its splinter group. And waking up in the morning should not be a problem if you have a clear mind. But this organization makes your mind fill with confusion and you lose your sleep. There is no supreme soul it was just a lie if there is then we should feel it and it should make our minds happy joyful and peaceful. Which never happens actually our mind becomes the opposite is true

I started chanting in 2004 and I loved the philosophy and life style. My biggest issues became how a lot of the members were not accurately living the Buddhist way. I only got calls from ppl to tell me about meetings, whereas one is supposed to form bonds of friendship. I can't imagine ikeda sensei handing out cards to "plant seeds" which is what the members do. That's not my style. I don't like organized religion. I don't like being told what to do. There is way too much talk about getting new members, rather than focusing on the ones who are already there! I hate "member care" meetings which I feel are an invasion of privacy... Or slander... It is the heart that is important yet this is not what I am seeing! I also feel that people are not given educated advice but rather advice that can be harmful! We are not supposed to just chant without taking action, which includes finding the right doctor! I really hope we can reform this organization from within bc there is def a lot of corruption going on with the higher ups! 😢 If u actually read the writings, it's all there! So frustrating! Thank you for sharing your experience. 🙏

HI, Well, though Nichiren Daishonin formerly founded this sect in the 13th century, the SGI got a huge boost in membership after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They started doing door-to-door, and in like a few months they raised their membership to one million. As such, this is how Japanese society functions. This is how they have men’s gymnastics, jazz band, etc.
I know that Kosen-Rufu is a popular theme and an important belief for the SGI but think of this, world peace=Kosen Rufu…they believe that if everyone chants, gets a Gohonzon, then we can achieve world peace. the fact is that we will never achieve world peace-let us be honest, and less delusional. But even if we believe this is possible or not, it is not a bad idea. But world peace is not and never was a goal of the Buddha.
Buddhism is not about collective wold peace, it is about individual awakening. Now, do you think any SGI people anywhere ever considered that idea, in any way? probably not-but I have. And the reason I have is not because I am an intellectual, or have a great IQ-I am in fact average-maybe below average. I hate math, I have a hard time with directions, etc. The reason I think about it and talk about it is because I am. Buddhist, and a monk, who loves Dharma, and I know-even with just a bit of studying Dharma, that it is not about world peace.
In addition, peace and happiness are not Buddhist goals. Buddhism says suffering is what you will know. The Four Noble Truths. We should not aim for Happiness but realization.

Thanks Oindrila. I visited one SGI monthly event in New Zealand. So I'm guessing that a lot what you report depends on the local chapter. People show transformations, but there was nothing about recruitments. The local community leader showed some pictures about a new centre and that's it. In fact, I had to email and call the the organisation three times when I wanted to attend. Then got a friendly response after several days. When I came in community centre there was a father-son band of Indian immigrants playing Foo Fighters. They sang nmhrk and had coffee afterwards. I got invited to a smaller district chapter - because I was asking whom I could reach out to. No-one is chasing me, no-one is spamming my email or messenger apps. We'll see how it goes. The second I feel that I'm getting into a cult or church, I'm out.

It is so refreshing to see a person looking at life with eyes and heart wide open. The fact that you could see the good and bad of each organization, and that you compared your own personal beliefs, with those being offered, instead of blindly following, demonstrates what a spiritually healthy human being you are. While you offered your observations, and shared why they weren’t a suit for you, you never put down its followers. Here in the United States, people tell their children to behave, or else Santa will not bring them gifts. This is not bad, or negative, but eventually those children grow up and hopefully by then, they will no longer need Santa to put them in check, but will instead have developed their own moral compass, to keep their actions in check. I can see you are one of those people, you do the right thing out of its own virtue, and not because someone is threatening you with the loss of heaven or anything else.
    Thank you!

Thanks for your refreshing take on SG! I was in the process of a long commentary when RUclips’s AI stopped me and took it down.
I’m trying again here. I was initiated into Buddhism in Nepal about 45 years ago. I studied and meditated at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery there for one year and participated in about 2 or 3, 30 day retreats. I also explored Vipassana, the practice of southeast Asian Buddhism. And there’s more, but I won’t get into it here. I’m probably about the age of your grandparents so suffice it to say I have quite a bit of experience under my belt.
I totally get why you find something that’s so restrictive (and more), so difficult to practice in “real” life. Further, until recently, all the people I’ve met here in the states, who follow SGI, seem to be focused on the material which is NOT the path of the Buddha. Last year a friend of mine told me he’s been involved in this. Based on his actions and the positive, loving changes I’ve seen in him, I decided to give this a second look.
In my opinion the bottom line is one’s INTENTION, not how long you chant or any of the other things you’ve been told. Also, I do not discount the teachings of other thought systems.
You’ve mentioned “Autobiography of a Yogi”. Even if you don’t practice I think it’s good to read that. Here are a few others, some from your culture: “The Rosicrucian Doctrine”, “The Dead Sea Scrolls” if you can find an accurate translation, “The Bhagavadgita”, “The Mahabharata”, “The Upanishads”, and more.
The world is waking up and there are many emerging thoughts. If you’d like to communicate through email let me know and I’ll share my ideas. I’m only scratching the surface here. Mostly, do NOT give up! Keep exploring until you find something that resonates with you.
May All Beings be Happy! May All Beings be Peaceful!. May All Beings Attain Enlightenment as Quickly as possible!

I saw some members trying to compete with other districts and sort of pressurised other members to introduce new guys but it became very cringy. Chanting has a lot of energy I saw some very young kids into this practice right from their adolescence age which I felt was forced. I might put myself into trouble as well😅😅😅😅. But on a broader perspective if you are into any religious practice which brings you peace and wisdom then there is no way you can force and push them just to increase your number. I have seen couples go through breakups and divorces a lot when they start to impose such things onto others. Moreover this practice makes you realise that having hope in the tough times makes you persevere through those tough times. Thank you for bringing this video up in the end every thing has their pros and cons it’s up to you what is best for you.

Hi Oindrella on the outset I can understand your personal experience with the leaders of SGI. A lot of the members, globally, have issues with leaders and I personally may have had a few, but in time I learnt that when my own life-condition was low, I very readily found fault in others and blamed them for my unhappiness. This went against my own practice of compassion and I had to pull myself together to come back on track. However, the bottom line is asking ourselves "Am I following the Law or the persons?" At the end of the day, each one of us is here to transform our own karma without having to slander others just because we have grievances against their behavior or whatsoever reason there may be. For me, not only chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is crucial, but delving deep into the Buddhist concepts and studies as well. Above all, doing my own human revolution is of utmost importance to me. It all depends on how strong one's faith is and how far can one go to win over oneself. Simply hopping from one organization or another or seeking new avenues to seek true happiness isn't the answer, certainly not for a person who is determined to find the true path. Having solid conviction and a never-give up spirit helps us through the journey of life.
Respectfully, each of us are here to become absolutely happy with a spiritual sense of appreciation for our lives, but for that we need to look deep within ourselves. I hope you find your true path, whichever route you may take, please be absolutely happy. Stay blessed 🙌🏼

I am just one year in this practice and like I mentioned that I have not been practicing in the most dedicated form but keeping a very rational mindset and looking at it from a very neutral point of view , this practice is trying to imbibe a certain level of decipline in us that us why it tells us about the regularity of chanting , the meetings and all the study materials , books have a very independent view on changing our mindset , develop compassion and have a positive outlook towards right .My senior in faith even tells me that if you can chant for 5 Mins with the truest heart , this practice helps , nowhere and no one has taught me that you have to chant for hours and hours .It's about the quality more than the quantity.
Never have I have seen they have pressurized any member on mandatory monetary contribution or forcing any member to join the practice or attend study meetings
It's absolutely free will and most importantly how much we can be helpful towards our surroundings and environment more than thinking about our ownselves is what the law talks about .
This practice is absolute free will
I get that you are voicing your views as we are in a democratic country and we are absolutely free to opine on some thing. I am sincerely glad some other path have help you grow your spiritual path .The only point I am trying to make is less not judge a Brahma Kumari or a Sgi without knowing the actual essence or maybe from a one sided point of view .Even though we are free the voice our thoughts, we need to have some amount of credibility and be factual when we are making a point .That tantamount to the meaning of the word " Sensible " .So good luck and God Bless .

Brother Sarma is telling more about BK life. Some souls might not understand Brahma Kumaris, but it is really the differentiation between the Soul World and the Bodily World. Through the Soul and the origin of us as human beings being Peace, we can understand the history. Of time and why some people are one way, and others are another way. As the origin of the soul is Peace, we can see good in every human being.
There might be persons whose karma has affected your judgements. Or you might have affected your own judgments in the history of your births. So in such you might withdraw from BK to understand your own lifetime, as well as the roles you must play.
Brahmin life is in the center of India…
Brahma Kumaris practice can provide knowledge to gender identities and identity differentiations of the self.

At the onset let me inform you that I am with BSG/SGI for last 23years and still with it. I also know a lot about Brahmakumaris than most people. I am also a Bengali. My Spiritual journey is good. Infact I am still learning. I have gone through your entire video and I am not amused. Yes, in both organisations there are people who donot carry the essence/spirit of the organisation with them. Infact, this is also true for all the organisations on this earth. The persons you meet in your life is not by chance but by design of the GOD or the Creator (Whatever name you may give). There is a guidance by Ikeda Sensei....essence of the guidance is....if you donot like a leader, just remember what you dont like in him/her....and when you become a leader, please ensure you donot do the same thing with the member you are taking care-of. We should remember, that just by entering a temple, one doesnot become GOD or a true disciple of the almighty. For, in a temple, you will find a true disciple who has come to suurender himself/herself to the almight as well as a person who has come to steal the shoes and chappals of the other devotees! So in whichever organisation we join, we should understand we have joined for our own spiritual growth. So leaders of SGI or Sisters of Brahmakumaris are not important.Take Care!

It's not entirely sensible to judge an organisation of this magnitude with the limited contact (old people of Indian decent in one centre yet the organisation has over 8000 centres world wide) viz a viz the reality of the organisation. I'm from Africa and I joined the Bks when I was a university student that's 26 years ago and been with them since. I have never had to surrender my wealth to anyone ( I voluntarily contribute for the running of the organisation which apart from me, no one can tell how much I give). There is no Deity worshipped by the BKs. The teachings centers around the Self as being a spiritual being or Soul and the Supreme Soul (God). There is no one who advocates for worship of any kind and the practices suggested of waking up early and being vegetarian are entirely at the discretion of the practitioner (they are recommended to facilitate better meditation, they are not dogmas). You may need to research more about BKs for better understanding of what's on offer.

In fact this happens everywhere in the world, in my country Singapore do face similar issues where leaders pressuring other members to spread Buddhism, extremely strict, corporate like or army like style. It was a decade ago, even having midnight meeting every fri until parents come complaining :X. Now is much better and continuing practicing Buddhism joyfully. Usually the concept of Soka Gakkai is everyone is potential in our ways and took on leadership, which is why we will meet some leaders who think like corporate style of managing which is not a true practice of Buddhism, Mentor Ikeda shared to the leaders that we shld be warm hearted encouraging the members and never cause inconvenience to the members and i rmb i learnt somewhere in Buddhism when someone took on an important mission, people will easily turn to greed and power, I think it shared in 8 winds on how people thought it is a good thing and ended up abusing it. I have one episode where my MD leader scolded my mum before because she proposed a game for discussion meeting, i wasn't happy abt it, i sent the message to entire zone leaders, and they dialogue with the MD leader, in the end he stand up and apologies to my mum and others as well who he hurt. I realise 2 things, he was struggling his nose cancer but need to take medication which side effects could affects his mood such as frustration etc. then 2nd, it really takes courage to stand up to apologies, tbh, i seen people not only the leaders but my work as well, simply brushed off their wrongdoing without apologizing pretending they did nth wrong, that is irresponsible. I learnt to be more empathy from here and never judge others and listen to both sides of stories. Then soon after he lower his tune and starting to becareful abt his words. I always felt not to affect our practice because of some incompetence leaders and continue to practice joyfully. Which is reason we dialogue with them and study more on Buddhism and share the true Soka Spirit with them. There are more episode as well, and myself being screamed at before but we know we tried hard and knowing we still doing good for others, the end point we know myself doing the correct thing. Right now i am actually pretty happy that i got good leaders and good friends guiding me into this journey and more understanding when facing challenges and most important fighting alongside tgt, encouraging one another. As long you continue to do good, no one can stop you, even Ikeda faced this problem as well, scrutinizing him when spreading joy with others, when does good, we definitely face challenges.

I really feel sad that we as human beings have failed our own tribe. I'm a BSG member and I chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. I also have immense faith in Lord Shiva and Maa Durga and other hindu deities. I chant mahamritunjay mantra and other hindu mantras and all I can say is that all the mantras are beautiful and are meant to nourish our mind and bring happiness in our lives. However, what's really sad is how these solemn mantras are used as a brainwashing tool by several spiritual organisations and gurus by diluting the true essence of these mantras. I believe you can continue chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo because you are praying to the universe and the universe will never betray us, people can. I honestly respect your perspective and I had recently written a blogpost on the same, how faith should be devoid of pretense in context of Nichiren Buddhism. I chanted for freedom of expression and writing an article on Nichiren Daishonin because it was restricted for members. But I chanted for everyone to be more receptive and I took all the cautious measures by putting disclaimers too. You may read it as it might help you.

Buddhism says that who practice Buddhism is no different that actual society. If there is a disease in society it is also in the BSG. What we do differently in BSG is that we know how to preview the disease with our Buddhist practices. **Note- by disease I mean selfishness, mean, rude, pushy natured ppl**

All your concerns related to SGI were actually related to a set of members only who also joined to become better. They were not perfect already. When Nichiren Daishonin was persecuted, a lot of his disciples left the practice out of fear of Military Authorities of Japan. The same happened at the time of Makiguchi Sensei and Toda Sensei's imprisonment for their belief in Nichiren Buddhism and Soka Gakkai collapsed as all the members left practicing. You know why it happened?? Because they lacked study. Ikeda Sensei has very clearly stated in his guidance in NHR Vol 2 Training Chapter that the study of Buddhism is very important. Otherwise you will never be able to understand whether the philosophy I am practicing is profound or shallow. It is also mentioned by Nichiren Daishonin on a number of occasions in Gosho that never look upon the person, rather look upon the law. Because we all come from the secular world having different karma, different experiences of life and based on that we act and react. However, the law is the same and equal for all whether we practice or not. If you could take some of your precious time out to study Buddhism, it will help you look over these petty things. I am sure, you are a well read Young Woman and that's why I hope you would also agree to this that nothing in life happens by chance. All these experiences with people must make us more considerate of others and we must vow not to repeat the same with anyone else if we don't like it to happen with ourselves. People around us are nothing but our own reflection and you can't run away from your own reflection. So if not Gakkai, you will encounter such people anywhere and everywhere you go.😊
So, as Nichiren Daishonin writes, "There should be no discrimination among those who propagate the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo in the Latter Day of the Law, be they men or women. Were they not Bodhisattvas of the Earth, they could not chant the daimoku. At first only Nichiren chanted Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, but then two, three, and a hundred followed, chanting and teaching others. Propagation will unfold this way in the future as well. Does this not signify “emerging from the earth”?
And regarding the charges on Ikeda Sensei, we must study his ideologies on every aspect of life before coming to any conclusion 😊. He is the one who used to write Peace Proposals to the United Nations every year until he was alive. He has done so many things on the grassroot levels for the welfare of society and the world at large. He never hesitated in keeping his views for world peace upright, no matter who he is engaged in dialogue with. It's very common to have people who might oppose him and can write whatever they want. And it has not happened now only, it had happened in the past too when Makiguchi Sensei and Toda Sensei were alive. Being a public figure, it's very common to have some malicious remarks by the opposition like Nikken Sect etc...(if you are aware of it).
I humbly request you to devote some time to the study of Buddhism and make another video if you find the teachings and teachers incorrect. We all are disciples, still learning and will keep on learning and improving till the last moment of our life 😊.
We all are Sisters in faith that's why I thought of writing to you after watching your video as it was only about the people you encountered not much about the teachings of Buddhism.😊
I am very sorry on behalf of those fellow members who have hurt your sentiments or did not turn up to your expectations. But they are learning. May be, you could have helped in broadening their horizon and it could have helped many others in future. However, we mainly think of receiving help rather than providing. Not your mistake, we make judgements really fast.. 😊
All the very best for all your future endeavours!!
If you need any support, please feel free to reach out.. 😊

Well, Nichiren would be diagnosed as having a Borderline Personality Disorder, if he was around today. The fact is that like Evangelical Christians of today, he embraced an apocalyptic end-time: meaning he thought the world would end because of the volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and foreign invasions during the mid 13th century. His inability to see that these were normal and natural events is puzzling, but it gives us reason to further question his sanity and mental health. After all Buddhist have always understood the universe, and it’s functions, far better than any other religious group did, even using astrology extensively. In was his belief that these catastrophes were happening because of the Buddhist practices, and he blamed all of them for these natural disasters-and it is no surprise that he was sent to live on Sado Island: his behaviour really was crazy. And we know, from Gosho’s, that his desire to “fix things” was to ban all other forms of Buddhism and thus he drew the Gohonzon. But this was bizarre- it to mention that he really had made a big boo-boo in themBusdhist world-criticizing ALL other Buddhists. For a monk to do this, this was a serious flaw and he had broken many vows by doing so.
During the Bombing of Japan, the SGI actually grew very quickly, raising one million new members in just a couple of months or so, as they started their shakubuku campaigns. It was certainly wrong for teachers Toda to be imprisoned, but the banishment of Nichiren was based on the fact that his conduct-as a monk and as a Buddhist-were extremely inappropriate. He is lucky that he wasn’t executed.

In the early years of my practice, I found it difficult to get used to the atmosphere of the Soka Gakkai organization. Hi,
This was a very interesting video to see, and sorry you had such a bad experience with Brahma Kumaris.
Firstly you seem a very intelligent, capable and aware of choosing what is good for you and I salute that. A few points you mentioned ... I'd like to address.. in the sweetest way...
I am a Bk from UK and my mum firstly started. She told me to go meditation if I wanted to but I was not interested. Only when I seen the transformation of my own mother from having depression and being angry... she became very peaceful.... but powerful too.
Only then I became interested to see where and how she is taking so much benefit from.
I guess the phrase is true 'When I change the world changes', lead by example.
The Amrit vela - 4am meditation - is ideally when you are fully practicing and there is no force - its up to you how much you want to take. Even I don't wake up all the time for it, but honestly I can see the benefits and inner power I do when meditating at that auspicious time (Sikhism etc. also as this tradition).
Your main teacher who made you sit on the Gaddi - is disservice to be honest. Only seniors should sit there... maybe they was trying to welcome you... but I agree that shouldn't have happened, and maybe it was a way of introducing you to the class possibly.
Also asking you for money you contributed and to say that's not enough - is also disservice.
Not sure who the sister is... but its very wrong to do so, and its a personal sentiment from you which shouldnt be questioned.
Manipulation is definitely a vice - disservice - and dishonesty.
This is very wrong again,...it emphasizes in Gyan not to give sorrow and to live a life of honesty and purity, so that sister should not be doing that at all.
In knowledge they say about purity - but there is heavy emphasize to fulfill your household responsibilities if you are married or working. Its not a sanyasi life where you give up your parental or work duties...but to live a pure marriage and lifestyle whilst living in the world.
You never EVER have to contribute all your savings - it's always whatever you feel is comfortable.
I only contribute what I can and its a small amount because that's what I feel comfortable with... I have been doing this for 10 years plus no problem.
Also its Not a conversation with a deity - the aim and objective is to become as pure as a deity.
The more purer soul you are depends on how closely you follow SHrimat (Gods directions - not sisters or seniors).
Also how close you are to God.
You could do 10 hours of Yoga but if your mind is wondering on other things...
whereas someone does 30 mins but its pure, unadulterated and full of love for God, they will attain more of a higher status...and its incognito...only between God and you.
Its not about caste system - its actually to uplift the mothers and women who get looked down upon. Also to let the poor claim a fortune, as the rich are more attached to their wealth so maybe would not have as much interest in God, so its nothing to do with discrimination...as we see everyone as a soul regardless of caste, creed, religion. Even in Ukraine & Russian war it is said not to take sides, but to send good wishes to all souls.
It's like a rose who wll give fragrance to all despite whose standing infront, or the sun who gives warmth to all despite who is there, there is no indifference.
Brahma Baba is not a deity but an example to lead...we don't worship him... but more to remember God himself who makes souls so elevated and great.
I think you learnt some good points.. don't focus on some people not following correctly to put you off... listen to the murlis and see is this what God would say...However if its not for you that's completely fine too :)
I did Raj Yoga teaching course in India with my mom. And the teacher even said to us its not always about making people come to Bk.. but sometimes even just making them better in their own faith or religion. That's how selfless it is.. as with other religions or faiths it's to bring people to that religion.
Anyway I could go on for long time but there is no point. In essence its about being a pure, powerful, and peaceful being. And to renounce all the negativities and bad traits we have, which take time. I see sometimes bad people in all faiths, pls dont let that spoil your experience. I actually make spiritual rap music too and my aim is just to spread seeds of peace and love.
Anyway I hope this helped in any way, and if you want we can continue the chat another time if you have any more questions etc. End of the day its about knowing your self worth...and that you are a powerful soul yourself :)
    Peace & love

Its a typical doomsday cult spreading lies. Just stay away from it. Brahma baba was a deluded guy. Instead of giving him psychiatric help he was given a pedestal and a god like stature and thus started another cult destroying families.

and... the main culprit for seeing the world through a not so positive vision is our greatest friend and oldest enemy to our freedom, the ego ( false perception of the self) which creates all sorts of false belief systems in our inner awareness/attitudes which shapes our vision of the physical world of people , places and things , the saying goes '"What we spot, is what we got" so when the ego spins false hoods about ourselves we take it on board as our truth and start seeing those weaknesses in others. so on this path of knowledge we come to understand that what we see in others are a mirror for what I need to work on inside myself. The more I identify with our true original innate spiritual identity of being an immortal eternal being of light energy full of Godly Divine Virtues, the less influence the ego will have over me, freeing the self to uplift others whom are under it's influence to help them find their own truth without imposing on others, this is one of the untold benefits of perfect Raja yoga shared with the world by the Brahma Kumaris Kumaris World Spiritual university, may it be the same for U2 sweet soul , ommm shanti

At the beginning sprituality works better for most of us when we go through some tough situations in life. Otherwise our analytical mind will never allows to accept many things. It's all about changing our perception towards things. This is my own personal experience exploring things in this journey. The next point is why should we change. There is no any answer to it. It is an individual choice . Sister is following a path but not by her,so sister might have found something interesting in that path not by her. We do things the way we perceive and we are doing our own journey. All is well.

Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experiences with BKs. However, I would like to share that in my 3decades with BKs, I have had many pleasant experiences. If someone was forcing you to donate or contribute, then thats is not what BKs are supposed to do. You have misunderstood the qualities of soul. Varnas or castes depends on the time and all dont coexist together. When the world is compeletely pure and golden aged, which is called heaven, all those live there are called devathas. When qualities of soul reduce, they are called kshatriyas (silver aged). when impurities enter and souls become body conscious, then it is copper age and are called vaishyas. When the souls loose the qualities and become impure, then based on the qualities they are called iron aged shudras. When one makes effort to imbibe purity by knowing God and connecting with Him and having deep loving relationship then that soul who makes effort to give up the old and negative (lust anger, greed, attachment, ego), is the twice born, brahmin. Anyone can become brahmin. It is by thoughts, speech and actions, one becomes brahmin. Amritvela(brahm muhurat) is auspicious and pure time to remember God. If you get up and meditate at that time there are many benefits.

Brahma Kumaris are not scammers. Just one bad apple 🍎 doesn’t make the whole tree is bad. In our study we know not all accept this gyan knowledge or understand why we wake up at 4 or talk to God. B.K. don’t ask money - everything is free and involuntary no one forces. That’s not what our founder Brahma baba did . Also the reason it’s encouraged to talk to god and spent time with him is we wont get bonded with maya and start accumulating more karma and suffering. If you understood gyan, soul , rebirth and karma in detail you won’t be posting negative . Yes there are many negative stuff said about everyone organization. People talk bad about Sadhguru , Gandhi and mother Teresa as well. The husbands who could not be without sex and wife’s who dedicated their to god like meera - thier husbands are the ones who started the negative websites on bks . Don’t blame the people who are int eh organization - see if you can resonate with the truth and purity of living god wants to bece diety like in this kaliyug. Every soul is on diff journey making effort no one is perfect . The fact you posted negative means you have negative sankars of being judgement and expectations of others to be perfect . Not all bks are perfect souls - but there are lovely amazing souls in every organization - that doesn’t make the whole truth false .

The obvious truth is a cult is an organisation that has a head .. and if you leave..you have left ' the truth' the path etc . Also they change your mind .. your lifestyle .
In a way that creates conflict with your reasoning or actual nature .
I was in the BKs for a while and as a small question for one .. " the recent archaeological sites show advanced history is at least 10 thousands years old . Not 5000 as the BK teach .
So such a big lie is surely the tip of an iceberg. Its been 87 years now and still no nuclear destruction. I hope it doesn't happen. But that's a long time to believe its immanent. Not as long a the 2000 years the the second coming though so . There's plenty of time .
But .. the real threats are viruses and AI .
Maybe its ALL a 4D show .. like a play area for the self to pretend it's not creating it all. To play requires some pretence .
Like hide and seek :) with the self .
And if one stops ..then its over .
But then so is the fun .
Being still is blissful but not entertaining .

My mom has been going to Brahma Kumari center in Bangalore from last 7-8 years, it had greatly helped her. I too visit the center during fests, all the Didis there are too sweet and I can't think of them asking and blackmailing anyone for money. Paying the center anywhere from 500 - 1k per month as per your convenience should be normal as they too need to survive in todays age and they also organize programs and free lunch for public on various occasions.

Soka Gakkai is more Ikedaism (or whoever the "true" Buddha will be in their mythology,) than Buddhism. It is a major cult of personality too.
However Buddhism has an inconsistent history, that is redefined over and over again, according to the sect, culture, and people within the community.
People with the SGI tend to be superstitious about chanting, such as "chanting for what you want," to "purifying Karma." There is also the tendency to blame people for "not chanting enough or chanting right," in order to bring for your "human revolution." There's also the excuse of "you have bad Karma."
The SGI also has a revisionist history about Buddhism, even by Nichiren history.
The SGI charges money for the Gohonzon, along with a need to convert people to "true Buddhism." The SGI is also rich, with hundreds of billions of dollars in assets, to draw even more suspicion.
One advantage the SGI has is they have home meetings, but then people continuously reinforce Ikedaism, and drawing you more and more into the SGI, reading reinforcing their mythology.
Chanting becomes robotic, and you get into a hypnotic state to generate various religious experiences, to create the illusion of "chanting working."

I was a member. Took me 7 years to realize I was in a cult. kosen-rufu is a term for world peace but world peace is not a Buddhist ideal. And I don’t think world peace is possible, in any case the Buddha taught that awakening was the goal, via meditation and other practices, but again, SGI doesn’t meditate. Early on they dropped it because it was too much for lay persons. I am not sure why but we saw similar changes in the Nembutsu schools-from an increase in the number of mantras one had to recite, etc. But wiping out the basics like Emptiness, Bodhisattva’s, meditation, those are just irresponsible alterations.

I went to a GS Center once because I was interested in Buddhism and taking meditation classes as I have done in the past elsewhere. • @krangdrol
      @krangdrol 3 месяца назад

Well, that was a good observation on your part. The fact is that SGI practices are a very different form of Buddhism, different from any other group. I was a member in the 1980’s, but left when I realized it was a cult, and they weren’t really practicing Buddhism. They don’t meditate..why? The Buddha stated very plainly that meditation is the key the path to liberation and awakening. They also have a goal of kosen-rufu-or world peace. And though that is nice, it was never a Buddhist goal. Enlightenment is the goal. Not relaxing, not finding a better boyfriend, or a better job, and certainly not being attached to more delusions…The fact that world-peace is their goal and not enlightenment shows how financial their goals are. It was just bizarre. if you are looking for a compassionate-based group of people with which to meditate, I might suggest a a Hindu group in Haridwar-which has centers throughout India. They have a place to live for a day, week, or month, great literature, and they have many wonderful classes on-site. I have spent time there myself. It is Shanti-Kunj in Haridwar, and I am sure they have groups everywhere.

You find people who have different views and opinions in every corner of the world. Rest its a very debatable topic, and there's no point in defending or criticising the above organizations. The SGI "helps" people when its beneficial to the organization. Sure some members may help you, but I have never saw the organization help anyone, unless that's getting them further into practicing what they teach. The SGI mainly serves itself, more than the community.
The SGI has billions of dollars in assets, so they could use that to help others, but like many other religious organizations helping is just about converting people to the religion, more than helping others.
Do not mistake what members do to help their community, such as volunteering or donations, but the SGI has very little do with it.

Greetings of Peace Joshua, thanks for sharing your perspective on timelines. One of the more important aspects of the study of this spiritual knowledge as a practicing Raj Yogi is to question each and every belief system we have been brilliantly taught by our parents, teachers, government, media, social media ect... that we have taken on board as 'Our Truth' which when compared to Spiritual Truth's may no longer ring true in our inner world of consciousness as one of the truths that I have come to realize is that everything we need to know, we already know.
What I do know with 100% certainty is the source of the knowledge shared with the world by the Brahma Kumaris is the most benevolent energy in the universe that is the blueprint to re-discover our original divinity and self-transformation, helping us to remember that we were immortal eternal spiritual beings on a human journey full of God's virtues of knowledge, peace, purity, love , bliss, inner power and wisdom and will become that once again, which is what I am re-learning in its most practical form in the life I am living.
So... if that same 'Source of Truth' tells me, the cycle of time is only 5000 years, My original highest self, tells me its true for me. Hope that helps
      Om shanti, Neo

That's why we say it's easy to join nd difficult to continue. Transforming karma is not that easy.we need deep understanding of the practice.no one force to get up early or chant long yes leaders only encourage so tht we can have decipline life but no pressure as such..this is the practice which is very logical.
Nd leaders r not god we all r human. No pressure of contribution but they only encourage even it's 10 rupee. .even not tht one can only pray..very sorry you got such experience mam..one day you ll understand nd transform your life..may you always be happy. There is come confusion in your practice..I'm in this practice from 15 yrs now yes got many kind of people different thoughts nd this is how we all r with differences we respect each other as we ve life..nd we do our human revolution. Without human revolution there is no buddhism..but tgis is really sad what made you feel like tht..thank you for sharing. .we ll be careful not accidents happen..one day you ll chant again..ll pray for you..this life or next but one day for sure whenever ur life is ready..it's easy to join not easy to continue as 3 pillars r not easy..main human revolution is the toughest.

Set your life by your passions. Mourning routine is grooming needs, journaling, incense/massage, yoga. Study how you want to do them. Set up schedule. I like time markers but don't get hyped if you're slow because you set up routines with systems in place. Say you make the goal of 50 pushups every morning but you hit the snooze bar so now you're five minutes behind schedule. However, you've prepared overnight oats. You made wiggle room. That's the art of living. I love pretty and productive journals so I follow my passion research, buy and use it to work towards my goals. I'm grateful to buy it and the hands that brought it forth. You can make changes. We are chaos and creator beings! Forgiveness and acceptance. Love yourself by being the sentient being you truly are inside.

I think you are more Mystical, more into Mysticism. I believe Soka Gakkai is good for an individual who does not understand the universal truth, but for someone who does. We understand that the universe is both internal and external. Its not purely internal awareness, but also external awareness. Which is why compassion & love works both ways. We all are capable of this by ourselves once we become aware of this, you do not need an organization. It may be good as a Sangha though for those seeking truth.

Hi, i think you spoke very calculated. The situation is bigger and messier.
I felt that in comment section many BSG members wrote that they were sorry for this kind of experience and that how they themselves never had such bad experience.
I am telling you I practiced for 5 years as a YWD. I was a district leader. And I was pushed to my limits. These leaders tested my patience and were not true practitioners at all. They made our lives hell. And i saw many people around such horrible leaders leaving practice, swearing never to go back to that hell again.
I would like such "so called Compassionate and yet not accepting the fault" people to understand that the situation is dire. And that you are suffocating people, choking them until they leave. What karma are you creating by not being helpful in this situation???? What karma you are creating by ignoring the sufferings of fellow members across India????

The SGI is not Buddhism. It is a New Religion. Anything calling it self Buddhism needs 3 things to qualify. The Sangha (Priest/ Monks), The Darhma (The Teaching), and The Buddha. Without that you are only play acting. Anyone telling you any different doesn't know better or is selling something. At the bottom of groups like these is always money or politics. Being is SGI makes you a follower not a Buddhist. They were expelled from the original Temple in 1997 and now issue printed Hozons and edit the original Sutra to fit its own ends. Do your research and verify everything I've sited here and be careful. If your looking for Real Buddhism SGI is not it.

I dont want to defy the fact that SGI/ Hare Rama Hare Krishna/ or any other organisation - everywhere you meet different kind of people but it has nothing to do with Practice or Faith. Dont spread wrong messages to the community. Lord Krishna was never a part of any organization, Nichiren Daishonin did not ask anyone to form the SGI group. Its us who form such groups and mess it around. Was Ramakrishna Mission was formed by Ramakrishna himself ?
If you have grudges against any person or organization - you just stop practicing in a group and practice on your own. You are super power to resolve your own issues. Stop spreading videos for like and subscribe with all negativity.

Thanks I like your frank speaking, the bigotry you witnessed deserves even more naughtiness, but still good you keep it low and analytical. That's a sign of spiritual intuition, sensing when people want to exert power over you. Of course the ideas of the teachings cannot be wrong. But as you say, I also see that it is not about a disciplined Programm, but on the contrary, the difficulty is to fine tune one's sense to the sensitive and dynamic requests of one's soul, what it is susceptible to at which time. Community is great and necessary, but the path to merging with spiritual intelligence I do see much more in that free style entering the digital self and discovering what speaks to you. And then sharing it us in the testimony of your own experience like you do here. Really like it, thanks.

The problem with SGI is that they give advice as if they are certified. I have been practicing for over 20 years now and I can say i dont practice with the SGI anymore . However i still am.im contact with a few friends that will always be in my corner in this life and have never judged me nor scolded me. And yet there have been several who have . I just remeber this Japanese girl yelling at me about making oragami for some youth division meeting . I thought at the time and still think wth did that have to do.with Buddhism? I practice yoga and am totally fascinated by Indian culture and history especially spiritually. Its remarkable how advanced India really is, spiritually. Yet the SGI is stuck in a very bad transition and there is hate and its not true Buddhism. Every organized religion is tainted by the people . However chanting Nam myho renge kyo is super powerful if you believe it , matter fact anything we put our minds to is going to change the universe. Thank you for being open and sharing . The Future of Cults
Due to the increasing strength of the mainstream religions of the world (namely Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism), cults have become something of a rarity in the modern world. Because almost all people either have strong ties with a religion (or lack of one), or find the idea of a cult to be scary, silly, or simply annoying, almost all new religious movements simply are unable to generate enough membership to function, let alone prosper. Because of this, I am fairly certain that cults, alternative religions, sects, and the like will, in this day and age, almost never be able to last.

I am part of SGI for 18 years now. I would only say that people practicing in it are human only and diverse people join with diverse reasons. No one can stop us from adopting great teaching in our life as it's our own spiritual journey. I may not agree entirely with whatever organization decisions or path it adopts but to run an organization it has to have some rules for governance. I follow my own spiritual path through learnings from my life. Try to follow my heart. I read through all the other scriptures also. Leaving organization because of people we don't like is not the path of sprituasm. Wherever we go there we will find something we don't like or conform to. It was very casual remark that if you were there during the time of Buddha your name would be there in the school books as you understand attachment leads to suffering. Follow teachings not the person.

If you desire genuine spiritual growth, I think it's detrimental to rely on any one spiritual or religious teaching because they ALL contain harmful dogma. Listen to a wide variety of "teachers," and take what you can that is useful for you and discard the rest. Never fall into the trap that says: My religion/spiritual practice is the one and only true way to "God." It will only hurt you in the long run. Become your own guidepost. Listen to your inner voice because that is where your connection to "God" lies.

I listened to your experience very explicitly & want I found interesting was that I was also an ex-member of SGI a very few years ago, actually, I could relate some part of your experience with me. Was introduced into this practice by a family known & he told me or showed me things in a way that after committing myself to it all my suffering will be finished and would lead a happy life in terms of compassion and all. So, I was in distress because of life's uninviting pressures that every human being goes through & I'd an urge in me somewhere about knowing what real 'spirituality is' & wanted to know the truth of life. As we know that SGI's philosophy is based on Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism which is good for a common person to follow and following the footsteps of their senior leaders, one can surely become a gentle & kind person which is appreciable. Also since my childhood, I'd a conception in mind about Buddhists & Buddhist religion that they are very peaceful people & their training is also very great for mind & sense control. As a person, I believed in trying everything & get to know attitude, so I thought I should at once give a try to this practice whole-heartedly, hoping something miraculous could come & I engaged in it following their protocols. After some long time, unfortunately, I ended up with SGI because for a reason that I really found SGI's philosophy for myself to be dry & last but not the least I didn't get my answers cleared regarding Questions like below:-
    > Who is GOD, does he exist or Science is true?
    > What is suffering?
    > Who I am?
    > Why there is suffering?
    > Meaning of spirituality?
    > What is true Dharma?
    > Why do bad things happen to Good People?
    > What is true liberation?
    > What is true happiness? &
    > What is true love.
I know that in INDIA, we have so many spiritual organizations including many people nowadays, mostly bogus who claim themselves as spiritual but they don't talk about spirit/soul with the correct definition, so how can they pose themselves as spiritual. I myself was born in a Hindu family, seeing my parents doing ritualistic worship & prayers to so many demigods and goddesses but I never found that strong faith & clear vision about Hinduism in so many years. So by the years, I turned out to be an atheist as I was myself living in distress & never got that happiness which my heart is craving for & usually thought like that if God is there, then why I & millions of people are living in distress. Again I was living my life according to my human nature with belief that man is a maker of his own destiny but still some emptiness was there in my heart.
Not going to in detail much now, again unintentionally I came with a touch with a spiritual organization named ''ISKCON' (International Society for Krishna Consciousness'' or Hare Krsna Movement. This time I was not in the mood to be part of any spiritual organization after my Ist encounter with SGI and listening to people's views on bogus organizations but something inside me was saying to give it another try. This time before listening to their philosophies and protocols, I seek the answers to my long-listed questions including above mentioned about spirituality, GOD & Science from their senior devotees or members with no hope of getting true answers. Astonishingly, my heart surrendered to them & my heart said yes, this is what I was longing for many years after getting 100% true answers from their seniors. So, all their teachings are based on Srimad Bhagavad Gita which is entitled as a manual of life to live blissfully and related Scriptures, especially Vedas. Since my comment is looking like stories I would not go into detail much, I will recommend you, that if you are really inquisitive to know true spirituality & still feels that your heart is still empty inside somewhere, then please just give one chance to yourself. Visit your nearest ISKCON temple or center, seek any senior devotee, ask them unlimited questions regarding anything before becoming a part of their organization & if you feel like some genuineness in their answers and teachings, then plz go ahead on the path of blissfulness & love.
Important Note: I am not here to offend any organization or someone's faith. All I shared was my own experience with SGI which doesn't make SGI a bogus organization but I am against those bogus organizations who in the name of spirituality are playing with the lives of innocent people & just making tons of money.

Thank you for sharing. I know the path of spirituality is not going to be any miracle but a path of trial and error. I was looking into ISKCON few weeks ago as I came across a RUclips channel of a German family in Mayapur practicing this path. I was drawn to it and did some research about to find it mired in controversies which again made me decided against visiting the centre. Also, I noticed that the German family sends their son to Gurukool but there is no system for girl's education so they homeschool their daughter which I found again sexist. These are the objections which ultimately made me decide against visiting an ISKCON centre near me.

@@oindrilabhar I really appreciate your feedback which is filled with honest views but there are some factors that I am sensing are putting you negatively about spirituality. See, I am not a 100% perfect being & don't judge anyone but I can sense that your belief in spirituality is really broken. Why are you looking for controversies/cons of every spiritually org rather than experiencing their philosophies practically & then knowing the truth. Even my experience with SGI was not that great as per my own psychophysical nature & human traits but still, I was inquisitive & hopeful to know the truth of life. Regarding controversies, there is a fact that when any person tries to do better for human welfare, he/she had to face bitterness from the opposing party, bcoz they know that you're doing well for human welfare, people will always be there to put you down no matter how much good you do for them, same goes for genuine spiritual organizations.
Maybe you are born & brought up in a culture where getting independence & favoring feminism in everything is what you think is right to you. Yes, I myself accept that there are some protocols in ISKCON where up to some point full independence is not given to women like women are not allowed to become nun here, women are restricted to talk very openly to other men except his husband, women is not allowed to have intoxication, drugs & illicit sex. Now, plz try to understand all these restrictions are imposed for the betterment, safety & purity of character for women. Why because we are living in a century where both men & women are full of lust, anger & greed by living materialistic life & thinking that western culture is beneficial. Now take another side of this, like let's say women should give independence in everything, also nowadays, women are educated too, then you tell why there are so many instances happening in the world leading to women's safety. Do you think drugs, intoxication, going to bars, temporary sexual intercourse will make women happy, I am not saying that independent women do all these things but our environment is so polluted that we are automatically dragged towards all these sinful activities.
Why you are making conclusions based on youtube videos since we beings are not 100% perfect, we will think as per our mental speculations & if you want to know ISKCON's reality, then watch the videos of monks who are practicing for the last 15-20 years, seek the devotees personally, ask them all of your questions, will recommend the monk's name who I get inspired from. Here in ISCKON, every woman is seen from eyes of respect, then as an object of pleasure who are given the right to participate in daily cultural events & doing their seva very well. We've so many devotees from the West including women who are practicing our faith for many years, who used to do so many sinful activities before becoming a devotee, it means they must have felt some purity here. ISKCON is not against women's education & freedom but we have put some little restrictions on their independence, keeping in mind the society & environment we live in. Because in Vedas & Srimad Bhagavad Gita, it is clearly mentioned that lust, anger & greed are the most 3 important sinful activities the whole world is going through, especially lust.
There are 4 core principles every devotee of ISKCON has to abide by including male monks, unmarried men+ women & married couples i.e is illicit sex, no meat-eating, no intoxication & no gambling. ISKCON's teachings have made millions of people pure & sin-free, as the whole world is going after materialist living & sense gratification, leading them to anxiety, depression, suicide & loneliness.
Don't think like, that I am a scholar stalwart, who knows everything & wants to prove you wrong and making myself look like a religious teacher, even I am a normal being like you fighting for years of life problems to become happy & blissful. But, I just sense that you are somewhere distracted via a wrong understanding of world, by your own identity, social media, feminism, right to be independent living in ignorance & looking for a ray of hope which will truly enlighten you towards blissful life.
My concerned suggestions will be that plz visit your nearest ISKCON temple, meet a senior devotee personally & ask your all doubts regarding controversies, women's independence & restrictions, and anything you feel but don't conclude climax based on youtube videos. Read Srimad Bhagavad Gita by Srila Prabhupad to know life's reality & if you still want to know about ISCKON in detail via youtube then watch (HG AMOGH LILA PRABHU) videos. Moreover, if you think that you can live happily without spirituality, trust me it won't lead you to a happy state of life, no matter what you achieve in life, since everything here in this world is temporary except God's love which is selfless. I am not forcing you to become a devotee of ISKCON, that's your own will.
Wish you blissful, happy & enlightened life ahead.

For how many months did you practise in the Soka Gakkai? Firstly, a practise should ideally not be judged based on behaviour of its practitioners as they are humans and are not perfect. You met members with whom you dint resonated but over the period of time, you could have got a chance to meet members with whom you would have found the connect. There are some wonderful people in this organisation who have truly transformed themselves. Moreover, it's not about members, it's about your connect with the chanting and the mentor. Secondly, in BSG or in Soka Gakkai, chanting for 1 hour or more is advisable but not forceful or mandatory. Thirdly, I don't know what to say, but that member just advised you may be out of concern, that don't go home late and you are saying why is she giving you a free advice? I mean, seriously? You may not follow what you don't want to but what kind of world we are in where someone's genuine concern is also taken like this. Anyways, I would just like to say that you made an early decision based on members behaviour, you should have find out yourself through chanting and study, that what this practise is all about.

And the organization keeps telling you that they are the one and only true religion while continuously urging/pressuring you to preach this "ours is the one truth" message to others. Then until covid members would just show up at my place out of nowhere and unplanned every so often and expect me to let them in. True, our practice with faith is dependent to us for to be happy and Victory. In my experience almost 40 years change my life, I have been making my Human Revolucion every day. I'm study the Goshos, the guidances of Toda, Ikeda Sensei, chanting every day and read with my ❤ Gongyo. After many years my family practice Buddhism and nobody force to practice this Buddhism of Nichiren Daichonin.🙏🙏🙏

Your analysis is completely true about BK, I have read and understood lot of it my ex was in it, I tried explaining her for four years but their whole family is in it and they can't get out of it and they won't listen they are fully brain washed. Funny thing is they have got the bk flag on their house 😂. Other thing is there are sexual activities with in bk(they call them self brothers and sisters but there are prohibited for sex however they do it in the garden in Abu and many involve out side, I saw my ex was also involved with a guy around 40 years old while she was 20-21 around). Which is much darker then this.

Whatever you do, protect the Gohonzon./ its more than a scroll./ I won't get into the experiences I have seen to people who destroy or bash the Gohonzon. Everything is Cause and Effect.

@@oindrilabhar very much true Ma'am, but for a leader or few, it's not fair to blame the whole organization

Hi let me tell you. I practiced for 5 years i suffered a lot. And so did many others bcz of such arrogant leaders. And we all YWDs left the practice one after the other. So don't say it's wrong to blame entire organization. Bcz it is actually happening everywhere

Thank you for sharing your experiences, very helpful. More power to the wonderful way you express yourself through your hands and body language and considered articulate experiences and opinions. More power to you. cucullus non facit monachum (the cowl does not make the monk)

Brahmakumari are wrong! Soul have below 84 lacks births or more than 84 lacks! Souls have no gender! You notice children's play each other normally in childhood! Only some the specific age we feel us our gender! All souls take male and female births for experience life and understand the power of soul in last births!
Brahmakumari says 9 lacks souls go to heaven that's wrong! Some souls born for only invent new things! Some souls born for sacrifice! Some souls born for change situation good or bad! God is one! But higher souls control by God! We control by higher souls! For taking births, enjoy pain & happiness, upgrade soul levels, last soul state (celestial beings) , they born very rarely, higher souls never taking births. So, never entering wrong things in life. If you believe God or not that's everyone one's own thought but don't believe wrong things, they said 900000 souls born again and again 5000/4=wrong,
