Glad that orange peel effect mostly went away, turned out good enough for your usage as ya say mate! Roll on 🍻

I’m actually surprised how well it turned out. When you first sprayed it on, I winced at how terrible it looked.

As you said, that paint is designed to ‘black out’ tail lights. In that application, the ‘blotchiness’ isn’t visible. That’s what I’ve used it for in the past. I think if you’re not actively looking through it, then you won’t even see it.

I've used the stick-on window tint film for things like this in the past. Quick, easy, and easily removable if you don't end up liking the result. Just the cheap stuff you get on eBay.

I never seen this product look so good before so maybe there is a use case for it.

Looks a treat Mark. Should do the job mate. Tint A Car could have done film laminations treatment that would have worked as well and strength screen as well. 👍👍

Hi Mark, I used this product on the clear plastic window of my old clamshell snowmobile trailer with the exact same results. Looked good from a few feet away but was blotchy when you looked close. Not a big issue for me in the application I was using it in.

Did this with anoter spraybrand, it suposed to be black, but ended up brown'isj. Looked good anyway. If it should be perfect you need to get it from factory.
    Ended up nice mark. 🇳🇴

Rustoleum and VHT do a similar product. Or black it out with Plasti dip spray paint.

There are a few, all types have some people calling out they go purplish after a while... and others saying it is just as good as the day they sprayed it years later.

Stick the can in warm water if the weather ain't great, and shake it for longer than you think you should have to. But, maybe that paint is just garbage?!

Sand it down starting with 1200,2000 and then polish
Do not sand wet, apply pressure only over the flat surface not punctual and then polish with a machine
Warning: youre removing the UV protective layer by sanding or polishing any polycarbonate windshield wich lets the Poly get older faster in the sun.
