Mark, sort of off topic but I wasn't sure where else to ask this question. With all the hub bub around the House case and all that entails, I was wondering if you were going to have Genetics (can't remember his entire username) on a show any time soon?
I remember he was on a few months ago and I found that show to be extremely interesting and enlightening; I'd love to hear what news he has and his thoughts based on the recent events.
In any case, loved the rankings shows and I look forward to whenever Genetics makes an appearance!
Mark, another question about the process behind the rankings. When you were creating the categories did you ever consider adding a "Rivalry Element"? Something like "Record vs Archrival". Now, I know that would be an extremely broad and unwieldily category (not to mention the pain of looking it up for each team) because of what teams consider or don't consider who their archrivals. For example, Michigan v Ohio State is an easy one. But then when you think about Michigan v MSU, it gets tricky. Or another example; would Illinois v Ohio State be a rivalry because they play for a trophy?
In any case, I know I can't think of a good way to quantify rivalries for a system, but I was just curious if they were something you considered/tried to work into the system.
Mark, I was just curious if in your system the Joe Moore award count towards the Major Awards category. It's an interesting case since it's a "Unit" award as opposed to a "position" award. I also think it's rather new only being around for the past decade (I think it started in 2015), so I don't know if it has quite reached the status of "Major Award"; at least relative to other awards like the Thorpe, Outland, Butkus, Doak Walker etc.
If it isn't in the Major Awards category, would you consider adding it when (in the distant future I assume given the work involved) you create All Time Rankings Version 2.0?
Mark did you really ask a caller who has a better record Harbaugh or Day? I got a better question for you! Which coach got handed the keys to a lambo and which got handed the keys to a Volkswagen Beatle? Teo totally different scenarios you're talking about.
