For the second to last level in the whole game, they really went all out making it so challenging. It's too bad you can skip it and finish the stage in less than a minute.
I literally just did this on the Nintendo swith , kept rewinding it so when i lose coins u get them back lol and I finally get to see how it ended after 20 years (I'm 33) by the way plus I cheated so u can get all 6 chaos emeralds
Fact: Having this act be a recolored Labyrinth Zone was not the original plan. The designers wanted to make a full sewer act for this particular level, but they didn't have enough time to do that before release. So this was their Plan B.

It definitely does! Lol I thought the game lagging on how slow sonic was moving when I played it recently on the switch , even when I cheated I still died lol
@@millabasset1710 Oh I'd say it depends on the game really. Super Mario 64 had really good water areas. So did games like the Donkey Kong Country series. It really depends on the design intent of the developers. Labyrinth zone is awful because it kills momentum so harshly with Sonic's physics system.

Everyone hates this stage, but I actually love how anxiety enducing these stages are and how scary the music is. Scrap Brain zone I always loved.
