It was exciting flying this approach in ATR 72-600 ! I did it before I discovered this video. I'm going to fly it again, easy to bring up old Simbrief flightplan
Awesome video Gavin. Have flown in and out of Kathmandu a few times but always landed on runway 02. Me being a geek always have the charts handy on my tablet to refer to looking out the window to spot this and that. Kathmandu being at the bottom of a bowl surrounded by steep mountain practically demanded all these circling approaches and departures. Fascinating. ps come to think of it, this is like an equivalent of space shuttle landing at Cape Canaveral ... phew!
Hi, love the approach and well explain, but i have one problem which i have been trying to sort out, its about thrust . i dont have thrustmaster controller currently i am using xbox controller and keyboard for increasing thrust by pressing F3 or Y buttton on Controller on fenix , so when i press f3 or Y button why my thrust go to Full thrust rather than increasing slowly. can you help which control am i missing. please thank you
Still very boring :):):)... The alternative approach for runway 20 is direct descent all the way down with those 6500 meters or 21 325.4593 feet (21 325 feet 533⁄64 inches) high mountains
Landed there 2 times but on runway 02, now it's time to try this approach, thank you!

in real live a Kathmandu landing is amazing because you see all those multi color buildings
This is great! With the Fenix I have a pretty difficult time with the final approach. This helps
Please do a flight into Skardu, Pakistan. Many thanks.
That's a beautiful Valley, I flew last week from Islamabad.
Thanks for the interesting video! It would be nice to see the missed approach as well, seeing as it’s quite complex

what is the minimum requirement for this software to run in laptop or do we need specialized gaming consoles
Terrain Radar where ?
You always disable gpws in such type of airport, otherwise warning is continuously screaming during all the approach. Same in Paro
