Before I retired from shipyard most welders used pulse arc, I used duel shield flux core with 75/25 gas, I get less spatter. Those Speed-glass air fed welding hoods are the best, I used them over ten years, my shipyard started suppling them in 2004.............
that looks like complete dog shit how that passed vis inspection ill never know espically if he had to sign off or put wrkr id stamp on welds ill never know
Why are you stopping in the beginning? This ain't stick welding. Run that thing. Something must be wrong. The cap looks like 7018 run over FCAW that wouldn't have passed visual inspection.
Thats looks good for shielded wire...Im sure he didnt spend 5 thousands bucks on the best brand but it look pretty well, and the cap doesnt protrude out farther than what it should so he for sure did something right. Also, what is this visual stuff youre talking about? Is it supposed to look like fluxcore? or stainless still tig? lol i dont understand. sheilded wire is not going to look like the welds you see on instagram lol
@@welderausphil Idk what skitwon or thadmccormick are blabbering about but that looks pretty dam well considered its shielded wire. The way he's talking like the bead is supposed to look like fluxcore or something lmao......Your cap came out great, meaning you ran the shit out of that root. Thats why you have the job you have. Good job sir. Guys like him make it hard for welders to get a job all because it shielded gas wire doesnt look like instagram welds lmao

Why would the cap not pass?
That’s garbage full of porosity why that shity 212 wire so slow should be using 233
