Clyde Lawrence sang the first verse. Michael McDonald sang over the chorus at the end. I’m pretty sure the brass, drums, bass and guitar were the band members of Lawrence. Tons of talent going on. Kudos of course to Jacob for masterfully orchestrating it all. Great review!

It's lovely to hear Jacob grew out of playing too many songs in one song. this is gold!

On the song "All I Need" Jacob used 720 tracks going at once. I don't know how true this is but I heard that logic increased the number of tracks you can have on a project to 1000 because of him.
And that's a decent explanation of reverb. It's basically the same phenomenon as an echo but the sounds don't take so long to reflect back so you can't hear distinct echos it all just kind of mixes together. Reverberation time is a function of the volume of the room, the surface area of the things in it and how much sound they reflect back. I'm going on a rant so I'll stop now.

The tracks are unlimited, as many as your computer can manage.

Michael McDonald's voice is pretty distinctive and famous. You SHOULD recognize it, especially if you've heard The Doobie Brothers.

Jacob plays all sort of genres and goes from huge productions (like Moon River) to small productions (like The Sun is in Your Eyes which he recorded on his phone and put released that versionon his album). So, it's difficult to give recommendations as he's all over the place. Some of my favorites that Jacob wrote and arranged... In the Real Early Morning ruclips.net/video/OFVVRyFH1vs/видео.html , The Sun is in Your Eyes ruclips.net/video/39RBH-2hogk/видео.html , Blue ruclips.net/video/IQvzX0Z3HE4/видео.html , and the one he did with Snarky Puppy, Don't You Know ruclips.net/video/IQvzX0Z3HE4/видео.html .

Thanks for the reaction. I love this song. Harmonically speaking, it keeps resolving to the major IV (AbM7 in this case) instead of the root, which is one of my favourite progressions in music. Never tried to have that choice sustain a whole song though.

Please get to know Michael McDonald better. The guy is a stone cold legend with the best falsetto in the business.

Yeah, honestly a professional musician should have heard him before. Enough Grammys to fill a case, a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a VERY distinctive voice that can't be mistaken for anyone else, a career spanning five decades (at least a decade and a half that being someone who charted high, either as a member of The Doobie Brothers or as a solo singer). I wouldn't call McDonald Rock Royalty or anything like that, but he's definitely of consequence.
