Please please please check out some of their live/acoustic versions: the weather (with gospel reprise), get busy, don’t lose sight or im confident that I’m insecure. They’re a brother sister band but it’s an 8 piece band. Clyde arranges all the music and the live versions and in their docuseries they talk about not using backtracks in their live shows and about how they arrange the songs differently for live versions. They also feature a lot of other artists in their live versions and credit them too.
Also all their lyrics are incredibly clever in all their songs

Now that you have seconded the motion has passed. But I gotta toss my hat in the ring too. Wowza are these cats entirely too good. Especially live/acoustic. I am not a gospel/choir kinda guy but they turn me around with the acoustic version of The Weather. I'm fairly sure their newest jam I'm Confident I'm Insecure has played more times in the last month than all other songs combined. Anyway enjoy the rabbit hole!
their studio "Bellion-ized" songs like this one are cool, but like others have mentioned, you definitely gotta check out their "acoustic-ish" videos/songs (Don't Lose Sight, The Weather, I'm Confident That I'm Insecure, etc). their musicianship and artistry truly show in those performances!
Give them the right respect and listen to "dont lose sight" acoustic version 😅

Just a couple of thoughts on this one. I think the false alarms he's talking about is tied to the near hit/near miss line. It's like they're almost breaking through, but then it doesn't happen. Like when you keep thinking there's a real fire but it's always a false alarm. On JB's line "don't ever stress the credit if your check comes with the royalties", I think he's basically just saying make that cash. If you're getting royalties off a hit but not "credit"... you're getting royalties.
This is my first time seeing your vids. really love the break downs. Looking forward to watching more and especially your reactions to Lawrence's live studio stuff! Don't lose sight is an all time favorite of mine.

A couple cool notes: “the living room” is a double meaning like don’t lose where you came from but also reference to first album. And then “it’s belly up or it’s belly in” in outro chorus, is actually Bellion referring to joining JB’s “label”
