It sounds cruel to me to say, but DD2 is just nowhere near as good or as immersive as DD1 was. The differences in combat, health restoration, death blows, and on initial release the lack of any meaningful long lasting upgrades, now we have that, but it should've been there at the start.

@NEGAProductions24 It's not cruel if it's true, so much of the strategy of dd1 came from assembling your party, and there are fewer characters in dd2
Finely crafting a strategy for your party to play out, using trinkets and locking quirks to make otherwise impractical strategies work was so important. It's actually amazing how much strategy is lost by randomising trinkets.
As far as ability combos go theres such a requirement for grinding it bores me to death, and any time I failed a hero shrine I would feel angry because it means I have to do yet more work before the "fun" can begin.

5:15 pretty rare though, you could only really get softlocked if your O2 is drained and you don’t have crew with good hp.
The footage shown here may appear to be a soft lock(as your Teleporter is broken), but if that is the case, the game pity’s you and shuttles your crew back.

The video is supposed to be an introduction to ftl in the current year. I too wish the game was updated or had a sequel.

@@NEGAProductions24 well i liked the video in itself. but everyone can see when it was uploaded and it has nothing to do with 2924 beside of that. it could have been uploaded 10 years and it wouldnt make a difference. i would change the title cause it makes no sense in my honest opinion and can be misleading at best

@@mugnuz Thats how you're taking it which is fine but for me, I understand it as the state of FTL in 2024 which can be unchanged since X year. If I was to play it for the first time today, this video would hold up just fine.
