Hi. There may be exams at post graduate level too, for example FDS exams. But before that you'll need to get registered with the GDC for which you need to go through ORE or LDS.
Mam am from pakistan i just wanna know as they have suggested certain books for physiology bio chem on their site...you also named a book of physiology..is it imp to study those books of specified authors in our bds tenure....for example for physiology i study gytton and hall textbook and in the same way for biochem lipponcott and harper...so should i study those books of specific authors suggested for ORE on their site or keep stick to the same books in 1st year and in further years....and then finally go for reading those pink book and blue book for my further final preparation kinldy reply mam.
Thank you for your informative video. I have joined various Facebook groups for ORE preparation. But, I didn't find any exam tips or follow up questions. Can you please guide me which group I need to join or in groups where can I find these information?
Dear Dental Practice, thank you for your video. I have just one big question before I attempt this exam. My question: what is your fate after you clear the exam? Do you get to work? If yes how certain? If you ought to study 2 years like the US, what are your chances of getting into the school, if you clear both levels? I am asking this because I cleared US exams both levels but never got acceptance into the program, though I was waitlisted on two occasions after the interview. I gave my everything for the US exam but all went in vain. Maybe I did not have the right recommendation or maybe I was not lucky or maybe my application wasn't competitive. What is the scenario with the UK exam? CAN YOU THROW SOME LIGHT ON THAT, PLEASE? Regarding books can I study the same books which I studied for the US, I read them more than 5 times before actually appearing for the exam, the content matter would be mostly the same and re-reading the same book would be easy and faster too. What do you suggest? Thank you for your time, hope to receive a response from you soon. Regards, Paritrat.
If you pass the UK exam you can start working. There are two options here- 1. Private dentist 2. NHS dentist - if you want to work for the NHS then you ought to complete a 1 year training programme (PLVE) which is quite hard to find these days. Regarding the books- there are specific books that are needed to be studied. UK exams have a different syllabus when compared to NBDE. So it's better to read books which are specific to UK exams although the knowledge what you've gained for NBDE will never go to waste.

Hey mam i am 3rd year bds student . I found out that part 2 ore is based on clinical ...so should i join a clinic from now in my area for clinical experience? And please tell me Is ore exam difficult? (Ore part 1 and ore part 2 both)
Are the books according to DCI sufficient for preparation ? Please answer
It is always helpful to join clinics. Not only for the exam but also for your future practice. ORE exam is difficult if you are not prepared. Check my video on books.
@@Dentalpractice101 thanks mam Is the DCI syllabus enough for preparation of ore??
Can we work and prepare for ore as well? How many months will i need to prepare if i work?
I'm sure you can if you try hard enough. I wasn't working during preparation. I took about 3 months. So you need to work out what works for you.
Dentalpractice101 thank u for ur suggestion :)
Hello,
Firstly, Thanks for sharing your experience withe MFD, ORE exams
Which exam is better ORE or Irish Dental Registration exam? Considering job, standard of living and pay.
Thanks.
I am not sure of Irish exam. Standard of living and pay may be better in Ireland.
Are these exams difficult?
Reasonably difficult!
Hi thanks for this. It has been very helpful. I just have a few questions
1. How was the process to get a visa to go and take the exam
2. How long could you stay in the uk before the exam
3. How long after the part 1 exam did you have to leave
4. Wasn't it expensive paying for Visas and plane tickets.
Pls I would really appreciate your response
Hi.
1. There is a visa for Plab exam which many people apply for. Try that.
2. You usually get visa for 6 months so you can do part of your preparation and course before the exam date.
3. You can start to your visa expires.
4. Yes this whole process is quite expensive. Check my video on expenses.
Do we need to take any courses or ore 1?
Hi. My personal opinion is that you don't. Focus and study well. All the best!

Hi Dr. Which book do we need for radiology as it is not widely covered in pink book? Thank you in advance.
How much aggregate percentage in bds is required to apply for ore exam?
I don't think there is a minimum requirement like this. You need a degree in hand.
