Have to say that was a brilliant collection of footage Mike!! Some awesome shots and awesome locos you got and seemed like the perfect day for this!! Diesel locomotives are my preferred loco and there was a brilliant array here!! Shame not everything went to plan for the event especially on the final day I believe the derailment was but none the less brilliant video!!
Just had a very difficult time with traffic jams Mike, and just chilling for now, you have saved the day with this wonderful footage, will explain at a later day, im more relaxed for now. Great video Mike. I really must get back to Swanage! Great memories of childhood holidays there, every year for about 13 years, 1967 onwards, before BR closed the line! Last time I was there was 1990, but all seems like yesterday!!!

Briliant footage Mike, glorious weather on the day as well. I have to ask though, i trust there was sufficent protection between you and those Fresians, as they looked very close to you. Morning Colin. No protection they were just about six feet away but they were no bother, but it is there field and when we arrived the field was empty when one cow comes there the rest follows. Yes mate the gala had its problems but it was a good one with super weather. But I'm still not well since I went to this gala. Regards Mike

I went on Saturday 11th of May 24 and mainly film the diesels at Swanage. Are you going to the Severn Valley Diesel gala on Saturday 18th of May if you are better from your illness? I be there on this day mainly at Highley.

did this gala 3 years ago a lovely railway but accomodation is mega pricey down there.
Yes my accommodation I booked up eleven months ago Edwin, but as you say a great railway, Mike.
All these events are so pricy now, with the cost of getting there on top of everything else, that I'm afraid it's just out of the question now 😕
