- This will tell you everything you need to know about what electricians wear to work every day. We will start by talking about boots. My favorite pair of work boots is currently the Danner Vicious boots. They are incredibly comfortable, water proof, composite toe, and offer electrical hazard protection. Next, for clothing, we want to look for any clothing that is made out of cotton or spandex. We want to avoid shirts or pants that have polyester in them. We will also cover all the different types of protective clothing you can wear to protect yourself from electricity.

"It's all for good glory" ---🙏
Jim thank you! I really appreciate it man. To God be the glory🙏🏼
Your videos have helped me so much! I have no prior experience and I start my apprenticeship in a week. Thank you very much. God bless.
Best of luck to you! So glad I could help!
Not an electeician but i do cat6 wiring and run into high voltage all the time while working. Great video
Water proofness really depends on where you live and how much water/snow/rain you have to put up with on a regular basis. Have 2 pairs or a pair of clean shoes/boots to swap when you are inside someone’s finished home.
Honestly the environment too. It’s not as much about rain but I work in factories that tend to be nasty so it can be wet just about anywhere so I prefer to have water proof wherever I go
Im actually starting a new apprenticeship job this upcoming Monday and was curious on what I needed to wear!! Thank you for all the informative videos!
Congratulations and good luck !
@@sirbeltran04 thank you! It's been fun so far!!
@@Pyrotov that’s good to hear. I applied for an apprenticeship a month ago, just waiting to be given a date to go take the tests. Did you also have to do any test to enter? Like math and English?
@@sirbeltran04 no, the one I went to didn't require any test, they just teach me at the job site on whatever we're doing that day. Hopefully they get back to you soon brother!!
Best of luck! Glad to hear it!
always go with composite, specially in cold climates. there is a big difference between composite and steel toe protection.
Couldn’t agree more!

What special shoe do you recommend for inside a customers house?
any wedge sole boot wont bring mud or dirt into their home. thorogood and carolina make a good american wedge sole moc toe bot

Honestly anything clean. At that point in time it doesn’t matter as much for performance as long as it’s comfortable, insulated, and has a safety toe!
