We should have included an electric shade in our wishlist. Surprisingly, the Kia EV9 we tested earlier ( video will be out in a couple of days ) was cooler with the sunroof exposed.
Most comprehensive Xpeng G6 review video I ever watched 👍 looking forward for upcoming Sealion 7. I have booked 4 EV now 😂 eMas7, BYD M6, Sealion 7 & just today Xpeng G6 🤩. Most likely I will go for G6.. thanks to you bro 👍
Hi! Hasbullah. Thanks for the compliment. What's your reason for choosing the G6? Just curious. BTW, we just returned from shooting the Sealion 7 and taking it out for short test drive. Look for the video early tomorrow morning (Malaysia time). Hope it'll help you make your final decision.
I’m going with the Xpeng G6 since it’s about 20k cheaper than the Sealion7, plus it has solid tech for the price. The G6's ADAS system is pretty advanced, and it gets better over time through OTA updates, similar to Tesla. Xpeng and Tesla both give lifetime free 4G data, which is really useful as they collect driving data constantly, especially when there’s intervention in autopilot. This way, they’re always fine-tuning the algorithm to make driving safer and smarter. Xpeng also improved its voice assistant, “Hey Xpeng,” by using the X-GPT language model, making it much more responsive and interactive. On top of that, Xpeng is pushing boundaries in tech with stuff like robotics, the world’s first flying car, and an AI driving chip, showing they’re serious about being at the forefront of mobility innovation. It’s a bit like the Apple vs. Android situation. Xpeng & Tesla, like Apple, prefers to build almost everything in-house, whereas others EV brand, more like Android, outsources most core components.
@@wmhasbullah Tesla is free for basic connection (ie navigation but no traffic). Premium connection is RM 33 iirc. I guess something like that with Xpeng. Did they inform you about the 'regular maintenance' pricing? I enquired about that but no one can get me the info
Tested the G6 and Tesla Y. Tesla Y is way more aggressive with acceleration and non adjustable regen braking/single pedal driving. Probably take some time to get used to and make it really smooth. I feel carsick after the test drive for whatever reason. G6 has a much more smoother acceleration and yet feels powerful.
Hey there, thanks for taking the time to comment. Your findings are inline with many people who have tested both cars. Apparently, it's the Model Y's suspension setup that's causing the uneasiness. But not everyone gets that feeling.
Many thanks sir. Leaning towards model Y solely for fsd which is quite hard to beat though i heard build quality, comfort, userfriendliness ain’t up to par with the Chinese rivals
@@Whalefool We just completed the review this morning. We only had an hour with the car but we were surprised at some of the changes. The video will be out in 2-3 days.
The Model Y, from previous experience, has a stiff ride to give it a sporty feel however, like the G6, it lacked adjustable suspension to provide a softer feel for normal driving. I would have liked adjustable shocks on this car, that's my 1 major wish, HUD would have been nice but, it has a driver's display which is more useful. It would have been good to have a screen to control the heated seats and climate system, make it a 4 zone climate control system, also vents on the side pillar would be nice. Power adjustable steering column with a longer extension, better bolstering for the seats as well as 10 way control and leg extension for the driver side at a minimum. It's a really nice car and I would love to have one.
@@LynaVasyVoyage At this price point, it's a nice to have more so than an omission but, it seems some new affordable Chinese brands are providing either a HUD or driver display, not both. Not even the European brands provide these on similar sized vehicles, which costs a lot more. It is something nice to have.
@@waynerm002 BYD has HUD, digital instrument cluster and center screen for its top 2 Seal variants. We're going over in a couple of days to review the Sealion 7 to see what it offers.
Yup, it's pretty easy on the eyes. We only tested it for a while so we did not get to test that feature in that scenario. If you do get to test drive this beauty, try out this feature in that scenario you mentioned and let us know how it goes.
2:40 Joshua said "battery and motor" is not the same? I thought only the battery is different? Btw is Joshua the sales manager? I wonder if they take trade-in 😬
The G6 Standard features a 190kW (255hp) electric motor while the G6 Long Range features a 210kW (282hp) motor. Give Joshua a call to find out if they accept trade in. BTW, Joshua is an SA not an SM.
4:07 Believe or not, the XPeng G6 has a larger internal volume than the Model Y. see Bjorn Nyland’s banana box test. ruclips.net/video/a4jIOnkyysY/видео.htmlsi=FrdR57qSztPsHTNA
And no glove box... which is not really a deal breaker for many. We totally agree with you. The P7 is certainly a good looking car. We need more sedans in our EV market. Right now, everything is either SUV's or Crossovers.
China: Model Y monthly sales = 40K+, Xpeng G6 = 1K+. Tesla owner actually look down on those who bought Xpeng. Malaysia: Model Y monthly sales = 70+, Xpeng G6 = more than 100+ Tesla or Xpeng, doesn't matter, you buy whatever you like / budget allowed. Conclusion: China buyer are more brand oriented, they care more about their "face" rather than the product itself. Tesla as a Western brand has more appeal. Correct??
We would say minus 10-20% of the claimed WLTP range would be about right. But that also depends on how heavy one's right foot is. Some cars like the RWD Ioniq 6 can achieve more than the claimed WLTP range if you drive below 130km/h on highways. This also depends on driving style. We heard that Hyundai actually tests with at least 4 people on board that's why you might be able to get more than the claimed range as well as 0-100 times.
my G6 is set to wltp, it does get to the range it claim.... and if weather's right it will surpass it sometimes. like I can get 600km, maybe 650km if I charge it to 100% and drive til it dies. but charging to 90% and drive til 10% I get around 550-580 in warm weather, minus 60-100km in winter below 10 celsius. its very efficient car around 11kwh/100km in city.
Goodluck with 2 service center in whole malaysia lol Buy a car specially EV service center only 2 whole malaysia goodluck guys . Atleast BYD have 14 service centers .
