I saw this animation on PBS in the late seventies when I was a young teenager with a pipe and a lighter... I thought it was awesome! there wasn't a lot of this stuff that made it out of the underground back then. cool stuff was hard to find! so this was a treasure back in the day! still cool!
@coordinatezero I got that Edward Simon piece from Valentino's Stock Music Library - in like, 1973(!) And I got that Bicentennial music from them, too - I don't think Simon did that one. The only place I know where those might be available is Valentino's...
Unbelievably outstanding! Thank you for your spectacular animated films through out the years. I have been a fan since since I was a young child and saw one your animations on t.v in the early 80's with it's incredible mind blowing signature hypnotic psychedelic sounds and mind blowing visual animation just as good now as it was back then. Always wondered who the musicians were on the guitar? Just a perfect combination unmatched by any other!
Yep you made amazing work Vince there will never be anything like hand drawn animation. It's nearly been a decade since I first found you and wrote to you on Myspace, hard to believe how quick it all goes. These films still dazzle my mind eyes and ears every time.
Ahh, the days before CGI took over everything and made animation cookie-cutter. I am glad to see this kind of animation from when I grew up. The music is killer, too!
These sounds you hear are from the golden age of video arcade games. This is what came before Atari in the late seventies. So this is probably mid to late seveties sounds.
maybe I should wait until these edibles kick in a little more. It's been 4 hours, and so far nothing, but within the last 5 minutes, I've been experiencing an intense body high. So yea
I like Malice best I think because there is the idea that everything is an actual object and during the morphing one wonders exactly what the object is. These others the morphing is architechture, etc. Stuff less definable, or less "important" thus not trying to figure out what it is. Thus not keeping my interest as much. Not sure if the nightmarish/porn/"forbidden" quality is playing a role...(Probably) Or the order in which I saw them.
This animation is a wonder and I wish there was more of it today. It just FEELS awesome to watch, and not a lot of art is like it!
I love the psychedelic garage rock
It

Fantastic work, Vince. I have never seen the psychedelic experience portrayed more effectively or powerfully than in your films. True works of art.
