I was at that Fontana race the day Greg passed. The crash just looked bad. The replay was only played once on the jumbo screen. The replay showed just how bad the crash was coming out of turn two. The race was red flagged for a long time. He was taken to the infield care center, a helicopter was called right away. I knew it wasn’t good. My heart sank when the flag was lowered to half mast.
I liked Greg! He was a real nice person and was never hurried while conversing with fans. If you wanted a picture, he was kind and unhurried! Always had a smile for you and seemed to have made friends easily! I was soon taken in by his kindness and generosity! R.I.P. Greg stay out ahead!
Greg Moore should never have been allowed to drive in that race, after he broke his hand. It was stupid to allow that to happen. When you drive with a broken hand, knumbed by pain killers, that is just stupid.
I was a very young Greg Moore fan back in the day and his death still hurts me to this day. I've never seen his memorial service before so thank you for uploading.
