    Makes me think of a business model where the basic employee invests time on two scales... In the short term, they do hourly work for hourly pay... in the longer term, they regularly invest the short term work for a cumulative return... stock options, annuities, what have you...
    The bottom line is that you remember that the people who made your business, are the people you OWE for that model of economics... ;o)

      This only works with meritocracy in a ethical & moral community.
      From my experience stock & annuities place the risk on the ones producing with the smallest return. Top executives & money managers can add tremendous value and profitability to companies but only for established companies.

    Civilian employees have a little different environment to work in and different Personal Responsibilities working in the USA than War Fighters. What about the Civilian Employees Personal Responsibility to build their own safety net so they are prepared for fluctuations in the market that may cause layoffs or job lose. Don't have a family if you don't have a back up plan if your job goes away or there is a disaster. You can't count on a Employer to be obligated to take care of you after a job for benefits that you didn't negotiate prior to accepting the job. "When You forget Your Men Come First it's Time You get Out of the Marine Corp" does not apply to Civilian jobs. That is a Employees Personal Responsibility to prepare for. Employees are Not Mommy and Daddy. The Employers and the Job Market is not a Utopian Commune or on the Socialist level that the Military has to be. And it shouldn't be. Thank God it isn't. Personal Responsibility has to be taught again. Thanks for all the hard work Brother.

      In the early 1970s the Japanese are fully aware of their past and of what the Great Depression did to them. Knew they have to put their people FIRST before themselves. REGARDLESS of whether they are in the civilian sector or military sector. This applies to both civilian and military leaders. I remember seeing a book with the title "USING MILITARY TACTICS AND STRATEGIES IN BUSINESS" and it is a great read.

    • @v1adko_
      @v1adko_ 4 года назад +2

      But why? Wouldn't it be good if you could trust your employer? If you could be friends who rely on each other and move towards a common goal? Personal responsibility is important, that's very true, but out of that comes responsibility for each other, and that's true brotherhood.

    • @f1y7rap
      @f1y7rap 4 года назад

      So you believe military members don't have/require Personal Responsibility? Military members have just as much need to look to their needs. Perhaps more. You are not guaranteed a job in the military. The needs of the Service come first and if there is a draw-down, they will push you out. If you are under-performing (perhaps just meeting the expectations) you won't be allowed to re-enlist. And there are plenty of other reasons you may get out while the economy is tanking...
      MORE IMPORTANTLY, if management is doing everything right, they are preparing for and protecting the company from a downturn.
      Employers do have a requirement to provide their employees with needs AS IT APPLIES to the job.

    • @ccfmfg
      @ccfmfg 4 года назад

      I used to live in Japan. And I can tell you from experience if the Japanese had taught their people personal responsibility then in the 70s and enforced it their economy would haven't been in the crapper for so long and collapsing now. Instead they adapted Socialist Redistribution policies and screwed themselves. Nice try thought. Maybe I'm wrong and Socialism and Communism need to be tried a few hundred more times to get it right? So far Communism and Socialism have killed only over 200 million people world wide in the last 120 years trying to get it right. Keep trying,We got plenty of people left to politically experiment on. What's the definition of insanity? Answer; doing the same thing over and over and over expecting a different result.

    The example of business doesn't work, unfortunately, because the inherent nature of business is bound to competition, which creates the conditions under which businesses simply can't afford to look after their employees. This becomes evident if you look closely at the intimate relationship of purchasing power, consumption and jobs in a competitive environment that forces automation. You come to a situation where productivity goes up exponentially, while purchasing power goes down exponentially. With that there exists a tipping point regarding purchasing power and the system crashes. The only way out of this problem that i can see, is a transition to a system that is inherently co-operative instead of being competitive and in which resources are shared, not competed over. Another problem that exists with business has to do with the nature of money, which requires infinite exponential growth of consumption to continue functioning. This is because money has no inherent value, due to which its perceived value has to be created artificially from goods and services. Not only that, but the consumption of those goods and services must grow constantly to keep the monetary system going. This is why governments emphasise growth. It's a dead end, physical limitations of the planet dictate so.
    Don't take anything that i write at face value, research my claims, see if they pass scrutiny.

    • @jussim.konttinen4981
      @jussim.konttinen4981 4 года назад

      If this system comes with a DDR wall that also prevents immigration, I'm in.
      Seriously speaking, collective bargaining is a process of negotiation. There is no unrestricted competition in the Nordic countries.

    • @Vaijykone
      @Vaijykone 4 года назад

      @@jussim.konttinen4981 Collective bargaining is circumvented by automation. If one company or business endeavour starts automating, it forces other companies and businesses to follow suit and the process accelerates exponentially.
      Even if competition is restricted in one area of the world, such as Nordic countries, it doesn't matter. All it takes is that someone starts automating somewhere in the world and that has already happened decades ago. The productivity of automated systems is simply so high that no human can compete with them, so what happens is that everyone will be forced to automate, regulating competition doesn't prevent that. So what i find likely to occur from this, is that unless the productivity of those automated systems is shared and managed in a co-operative manner to serve all people, there's going to be a global collapse.
      I emphasise that i'm not against automation or technological advancement, it's just that automation and technology today are harnessed for horribly distorted purposes. It doesn't need to be that way.
      Even monetary interests recognise these facts, but they propose a reset of the monetary system, which won't work. It's literally an attempt to solve the problem with the mechanisms that are part of the causality conditions to this problem.
