I used to have one. My grandfather gave it to me because I was born in ‘76. I had it tucked into my wallet until I was a teenager, and I have no idea what happened to it after that. I wish I still had it.
Back in the 80's my brother would sell these at the swap meet for 20 cents each (limit 1 to a customer). People would try to figure out what the deal was, and why were they only 20 cents. For the loss of only a nickel, the reactions of the people were priceless.

I have 1 of this dated quarter. Which is in reasonably good condition. I know that this coin turns up in pocket change from time to time. And it's worth more than face value. I was born in 80 but I couldn't agree more where oh where have the good ole days gone?! I really, really wish things could go back to how they used to be. Technology (please don't get me wrong I love working on electronic devices & fix them for free) is taking over and its sad. The kid's, teens, tweens, young adults for the most part aren't how most of us are. I'm sorry but there are way too many that think the world owes them and everything should be handed to them. I was on vacation in El Salvador a few years ago. After a few purchases, I noticed that I was given a quarter with Derek Jeter's colored image on the front and a buffalo nickel as change. I gave the Derek Jeter quarter to my sister as a present being that she collects Yankees memorabilia and I kept the buffalo nickel.

I have one of these in great condition, flawless to the normal eye... It's one without a mint mark. I am going to a coin shop later to see about getting it graded..... But according to every other coin channel on RUclips, the ones without a mint mark are especially rare, can I get your opinion and insight?

Worth is determined by condition. If the quarters are in uncirculated or proof condition, THEN they are valuable. Same goes for all coins or, anything collectable.

The really valuable quarter is the 1975 Washington quarter dollar. Very few were made and were ordered destroyed in order to make the 1976 bicentennial quarter. Some say a few of the very few 1975 quarters made were not destroyed. Find the extremely rare 1975 quarter and retire. Officially, no 1975 quarters were entered into circulation. However, officially no 1959 wheat pennies were made either. However the mule cent, as it has come to be known, does exist.

It has changed ownership a few times and has gone for quite a handsome sum of money. Officially, none were made. However, the one that has been found may be the only one.
My husband had 2 huge boxes of uncirculated pennies going backwards from 1965 to the Indian head penny. After my husband was hospitalized I stored the pennies in my daughter's garage and they were stolen probably that collection is probably worth thousands today. He also had many many steelies in uncirculated condition still in the sealed Bank wrappers.

I cherry picked an S silver, MS67, and foung the motto 'IGWT' doubled identical to the clad coin. I haven't found any info on the S silver ever being documented.

I learned the hard way; old coins are only worth what someone is willing to pay. That means you have to find a real sucker if you want to get more than face value. Even then, you won't get much more. Try about a few cents more than face value. It's not something that you can make any real money doing.
I have what i think is a grease struck bi-cen where it looks like the stars are melting and its corroding at the edge/seams. Should i get this looked at by someone?

My mother put 4 bicentennial quarters in my Christmas stocking back in 1975. I still have it, and I the Coins look like new.
