I'm actually genuinely curious how hard it would be to write interesting Stand battles if all of the main protagonists had main villain abilities. DIU's Stray Cat fight kinda demonstrated that it isn't obnoxiously hard, but there are a few villains I just don't know what I'd do with if somebody asked me to alignment swap them.
In certain conditions. Every stand might become useless or ridiculously op. In this universe purple haze could be an actual real threat when it's working along side other stand users. Greenday is specified to not work on organisms that are above the user. So if the user is just trapped, it's absolutely useless. As for Oasis, it might run into trouble against another material manipulator like white album or mettalica, or even Gold experience. Since ge could just turn the dirt material Oasis uses into plants or animals against the user. As for king crimson being used, it has a very low durability but strong strength. However it's main ability is meant to be used in tandem with epitaph. So king crimson can erase what it sees. But in this video. It's seen that doppio is his own separate entity, so epitaph may not be in diavolo anymore. Making King crimson extremely risky. As he can't predict and evade future predictions that might be just a few seconds into the future. For the two last stand users. Talking head and The shark work perfectly for espionage and stealth stands. Not exactly the best for direct combat. But might be good for disrupting enemy team coordination. And for Clash's teleportation, it's the best for just teleworking an enemy away. But very risky when it's a big buff meaty stand who can handle a tiny shark bite. All in all, as long as the enemy team which could be the main protagonists this time around, just put themselves in good positions to use their stands in the right environment, they can be just as op as the villain stands. Gold experience just has a near unlimited amount of strategies to use. Aerosmith is a really dangerous pursuit, recon and chase stand. See pistols, the best for assassination and quick time versatile planning. Sticky fingers is basically a near one hit death stand with alot of versatility and movement. Purple haze is area of denial and death trap. Since it seems he can remove those pods on his fists. So it could be a good way to make an entire area just unusable for anyone. Even the user.
I suppose it really is down to how clever the writer is with how scenarios are constructed, but sadly, I've never had much of a mind for that sort of thing myself. Even so, I still have fun thinking about these weird what ifs from time to time.
