  • From an early encounter with a Robert Mapplethorpe photo in his school library, to the reference material that informs his design work, the private library of architect and interior designer Luis Laplace has become a physical space in which to file the vast contents of his mind. Pursuing his practice to satiate the traditionalism of his parents, the Argentine creative began paving a pioneering path that deconstructed its core principles - a collision of classicism and modernity, fine art and idiosyncratic features.…read more at nowness.com

Simply beautiful, but i wish this was the prelude to a full length version! So much more to see, and so much more to hear and learn from him.

Subtitles could be yellow for better visibility, too many same color instances in the lower 3rd of the video to read everything.

Luis Laplace has a beautiful home. I love how he has placed books all over the home. I love all the oversized paintings. I love the bold choices he placed in the home. I love libraries. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

“Librarie” translates to “bookstore,” not “library.” Changes the meaning quite a bit!

There are some translation errors here. For example, what is called « librairie » in French is “bookstore” in English (not a “library”).

Interesting & visually appealing but the background 'music / noise' distracts negatively from the experience.
