I'm obsessed with this song, all the tracks they've released so far from the album are great, but this one has a very nostalgic feeling I can't fully describe that hooked me from the first listen. Great stuff.

This, Passenger, Fables, and Mr. Credit are the best on this album and remind me of their old sound.
Gran Hotel is a masterpiece. I find a lot of the album sounds like Paul's solo album, Banks.

@@dangercat8919 what? lmao they're one of the most famous Post-Punk bands in the world, they're put among the greats like Joy Division and rock like The Strokes. They have several Gold Awards in several countries and topped the charts of many and sell out arenas all the time. Interpol is my favorite band of all time and saying they're underrated is ridiculous lol. Maybe you just hadn't heard of them before.

El propio Paul Banks anunciaba el lanzamiento del nuevo LP indicando que “siempre hay una séptima ocasión para generar una primera impresión”, refiriéndose a que este es su séptimo álbum.
Hay que pensar que la carrera de Interpol, a lo largo de sus dos décadas de carrera no ha sido nada fácil. Fueron rechazados por innumerables sellos discográficos a los que no su sonido no les resultaba comercial, ni una apuesta segura. En 'The Other Side Of Make Believe", no encontrarás hits instantáneos, adecuados para las radio fórmulas, de hecho hay momentos en los que pecan de monotonía, a pesar de los guitarrazos de Daniel Kessler, o de las precisas percusiones de Sam Fogarino. Aciertan de pleno con temas como "Gran Hotel".

Another amazing song and as another someone else noted there’s definitely something nostalgic about this one. Maybe it’s because Paul looks like a younger version of himself, great look by the way it’s almost as though he hasn’t aged. The most interpol sounding track to date, almost like going back to the root sound we all fell in love with. This track proves they dont really need dengler but just imagine how different this would sound with Carlos's touch. Still a great song nevertheless
Yeah, now that u mention it, I think that's the reason why they put Big shot city after Gran hotel, cause as u said this song hits home, and Big shot is like a refeshing newer style but with their intact essence
This is complete trash compared to anything they made with Carlos.
I dunno. Good bassists are hard to find and all, but Carlos was a showboating, atonal distraction and I see why they subbed him out. You have to have been around bands to get why it's a problem I suppose. Unity of vision is everything, you can't have people who fuck with your flow like that. Glad I'm a writer and don't have to fire my rhythm section lol.
