It's interesting - it has to have crossed both these minds - that the prevalent caste system in India is the very same monster. Little school kids being bullied and ostracised in school because of the color of their skin - and they aren't even the untouchables. They just aren't the fairest skinned. There was a documentary (I'm sorry but I forget the title) of a little boy - I'll say 6th or 7th grade, who kept asking his mother for the 'skin-lightening' screams.
